City wins power to shut down strip clubs that flout New York zoning rules
Been to strip clubs with more than one level (several old Baltimore clubs and at least one Tampa club that's no longer around). Property taxes however are based on the improved value of the land and building so a multi-level building with increased value would impact their taxes.

Hot Summer in Rhode Island
I actually have know 12-year-olds who were mature-looking enough to pass for 18 (then again I was like 13 and 15 when I met those two young ladies so consider the perspective). THAT being said, I see nothing wrong with an 18-year-old minimum for working at strip clubs. After all, NBA players now have to spend at least a year on a college campus before turning pro, "teens" should have to be in the upper teens before stripping. Though as more of my friends have kids in that age range, I'm gravitating away from those too.

In the Summertime, when the weather is fine...
Here in the Tampa area it always slows in the summer as winter residents leave. In that sense the clubs are like the rest of the local economy.

Average lapdance tip?
Tip? The entire transaction is technically a tip. That being said, when the club I frequent does its 3-for$50 specials and enjoy the dances I'll typically go with the regular $60. On occasion after extras I'll kick in an other $20 or so.

Clubs Fines
Clubs have "fines" to both encourage behavior but also to capture more money, in addition to tip-out and dues.

Strippers trying to get you to buy them dinner
Ah I see, it's an in the club dinner. There's only one place I've occasioned where that was an option. Chances are it's not a club push but a dancer initiative.

Strippers trying to get you to buy them dinner
More info please. Are you talking dinner for a food run (where she then goes in back to eat), dinner with you at a club that serves food, or dinner OTC?

Mother and daughter strippers.
I'm familiar with the mom and daughter duo at the Mons, they were even working on a "how to" web site for pole dancing. I also recall a mom-daughter duo at the old Lipstixx in Tampa. To en the high mileage stance at that club, it had to be one close family.

Best wireless device for surfing the net?
If you don't mind the small screen, iPhone (or iPod Touch, if you're looking for wireless and not the cell phone capabilities) is an outstanding option. I use a Touch at work, in hotels, airports, etc. I have a web-enabled Sprint cell phone (ironically HTC Touch) that is great for e-mail, passable for web access. I think most of the cell providers toss in virtually unlimited access to the 3G network for @$20 a month on top of the usual fees. If you don't mind the extra size, all the "netbooks" on the market offer a larger screen but not pocketable. Haven't looked into them but I suspect it's strictly wireless access, like iwth the iPod Touch.

I write it like I mean it, but mostly they just want my money.
Question about TUSCL "mobile"
I've given up on the "mobile" for that exact reason and just use the usual URL. It's fairly easy for review reading -- though using any maps on my phone is more trouble than its worth.

Champagne rooms.
Hmm, all my favorite strip clubs in Florida don't serve booze. They do have VIP rooms. If you're planning on spending a lot on consecutive dances with one girl, it could be a wash, in terms of dollars for time. There's one club I occasion that goes $100 for 15 minutes -- compared to $20 for a typical 3 minute song, it's basically a wash but more privacy.

Sundowner or Mons
Mons @ 2009 is not the same as @ 1994. Never beeto Sundowner but if I had a grand to blow at a club in Tampa, Mons wouldn't be my choice. Yeah there's a lot of eye candy but there are too many clubs therr the mileage is higer.

Do some clubs pay the dancers to keep working?
Club I frequent both charges house fees and fines dancers for being late or leaving early or staying out too late on break. You get the idea.

What Makes A strip Club Awesome??
Hmm, what makes a club awesome? Decent lighting, courteous and non-pushy staff. Ideally I should not notice either the lighting (ouch, strobes way too bright) or the staff that does not strip. Privacy in booths if offered should be expected. Maybe a one-time VIP charge but $10 a trip as it is at some clubs? Limited dance specials -- and a dancer should NEVER be pulled out of an existing lap dance for a special. All that is what I consider the background. As I said, shouldn't ever take away from the talent. Note, I didn't comment on the girls. Isn't that kind of a given after all? As Jester above said, I want women clearly out of my league vying for my attention but not in a pushy way.

bathroom attendents
Attendants are absolutely silly and a way to grab another dollar -- just like the tip jar at the door where you tip the girl a buck for taking your money. That being said, it's especially cold to not tip the attendant if you take anything.

Going to Strip Clubs, Wast of time??
Hmmm judging from Shadowcat's assessment, I'm officially an old fart. A strip club is a great way to kill time. When I was a kid,I enjoyed pinball (you never got the money back from that either and the only "extras" were free games) now I enjoy hitting a strip club or three.

Observations from an amateur contest
Reminds me about how Wet T-shirt contestants for cash prizes used to be strippers on a night off looking for cash. I'd say most girls on amateur nights are dancers looking for a new club. Last amateur contest I attended was packed and I happened to be standing at the end of a long-narrow runway stage. The girl on the end (a decided amateur) lost her balance and I had to catch her fall.

Verbiage used in reviews
Aqua, buddy. It's not like your few posts are exactly direct either. Not that it should matter, you're not patronizing particularly daring clubs. Minnow is right. But ultimately these posts can't be specific because a.) girls get busted and b.) YMMV (MMMV on a given night with an ATF depending on the time of the month, amount of money made that day, etc.).
