I used to tip most every dancer who went on stage thinking that I was doing a nice thing, but it backfired - all of the dancers saw me tipping everyone so they figured that I was only there to watch and tip and not get any dances, so they never hit me up. Now I tip only those that I am interested in getting dances with.

I don't know why you're so surprised, Slick. I think that sclvr got it right. I have many times seen the downward psychological spiral of a young naive & eager dancer after dancing for just a few years. They become jaded & distrustful misandrists. I can't help but think that in a perfect world where all SC customers were well behaved and there were no misogynists that it wouldn't happen. That's a major simplification of it, of course....but you get back out what is put in. As a female I very often get to listen to dancers bitch about male customers in general and it ain't pretty. All it takes is a few die-hard assholes to really fuck up an already vulnerable or borderline personality stripper.

Not with my high-end taste and the costs here in the true upscale LA clubs. I'd drop $100 just parking,paying cover and ordering my 2 minimum drinks.
Guess I'd be killed. Oh well....At least I'll go out laying underneath a smoking hot stripper, who would probably be yelling "SECURITY! GET THIS DEADBEAT OUT FROM UNDER ME!!!!"

I have also encountered a deaf dancer who was gorgeous. After "talking" with her I found out that her childhood was even more tragic than you'd expect from a stripper. I don't know how she maintained her cheery disposition in the club. She told me that she danced by feeling the bass vibrations on the stage floor. She eventually moved to Florida. She was a real sweetie.

On Saturday I did 1 hr/$350 with an untested dancer, trusting that my gut feeling about her would pay off. It did, but I got REALLY lucky and it could have been a very expensive mistake that I would have been kicking myself about for days. But in the end I much prefer private blocks of time vs. a song-by-song basis.

Recently I have been visiting a club where the ladies room is deep in the DR and I overhear many brutal comments that the dancers make about some of the customers. Nasty shit that will ruin his/her reputation with the dancers. If you get a bad rep with a dancer that has clout in the club, you're as good as dead to them. You become part of the furniture. It's stupid and petty and childish, but what can you expect from stripclubs? It's often like stepping back in time to junior friggin' high school.

But seriously.....it really is a great way for a gal like me to interact sexually with other women. I've never been a big fan of gay-themed venues like bars and cruises, and I love the variety of women available. And it is all temporary and non-committal (for the most part)for a woman with an SO.
