  My feeling is that most guys try to project slightly "improved" images of themselves here. They want people to buy into a false image, yes, to see what that feels like, but at the same time they don't want it to be so disjoint from reality that they can't kid themselves. As I say, most of the time. We get people at both other extremes. Deep pathological liars, and guys who seem completely honest.

  Exactly what Timbuck said. For many years, strip clubs have been a way for me to enjoy some side fun while I've had SOs, including two wives, live-in girlfriends, etc. No entanglements as the fun is over as soon as I walk out of the club or the hotel room.

  Strippers are cheaper than wives. I made 2.5 X what I get now in retirement yet I have a lot more $$ to spend on travel, etc. supporting strippers in and out of the clubs than supporting wives with jobs in the past.

  All BS aside I have a very active non paid sex life. I am not a super rich good looking stud , just an average guy. I don't NEED to visit SC's. Strip Clubs are a hobby, dancers are part of that hobby. Occasional sex with strippers is part of the hobby. It is less expensive than owning a boat and deep sea fishing !

  My income for my job is below the national average for my job but I live in a low income state. My IQ was much higher than average the last two self tests I did. However I thought the pedometer I was wearing was somewhat accurate at the default setting for men until I just walked 1.5 miles on a treadmill but the pedometer says I only walked 1 mile. That 5 miles I finally got on my pedometer the last two days was probably more like 7.5 miles. I work too hard and don't get paid enough.

  For me it's a way to try and make up for all of that time that I wasted dating you icky men :p But seriously.....it really is a great way for a gal like me to interact sexually with other women. I've never been a big fan of gay-themed venues like bars and cruises, and I love the variety of women available. And it is all temporary and non-committal (for the most part)for a woman with an SO. It's a perfect arrangement!

  I just don't have the patience for clubs and picking up women any more. Most of the women I was meeting before I settled down were a complete pain in the ass. The SC gives me a place to go where I don't have to play any games and can be direct about what I want with women who know I'm judging them by their looks first (and don't care). Maybe things have changed on the club scene but I don't think I'd go back to it if I were suddenly single.
