El Paso if you are looking for easily available extras and aren’t too particularly about looks, although now that the Cabaret Club is gone, they are a bit harder to find.
Tucson has replaced Phoenix, but quality is not as high as it was in Phoenix, and it is a bit more hit or miss.

Nobody gets free time for evaluating unpublished reviews. Or, if they do, I have been getting screwed. It wouldn’t have hurt to include your last sentence above in your initial review.
I understand that it can be hard to write a review and have it rejected or worse, negative comments mad about it. When I reject a review, I always try to be specific on how it can be approved to be acceptable, not just click the “not enough details” button and reject. Others don’t, but I get no satisfaction in rejecting reviews. I know some do, but ignore them, revise the review and resubmit. It is not a life or death situation.

Grand - He does say that the lap dances are $10 a dance plus the $2 to $5 for the jukebox. As it is a lap dance club with no stage dancing, I assume that there is no cover, although I am not familiar with that strip club model. It would have been nice if he had included drink prices. Maybe he can amend in the comments to verify that there is no cover and to include the drink price. I thought it was OK to publish without the drink prices.

I meant to reject this review, based on the comments above, but hit the publish button by mistake. Sorry to all. I would not go to this club based on this review. But, then I wouldn’t go to most DC clubs with or without a review.

The wisest people on TUSCL are those regularly post reviews with useful information, post an occasional informative article, seldom initiate discussion topics, and make constructive comments, when they do comment, on discussion threads.

It varies from club to club, but usually if extras occur in a club, even occasionally, management knows about it. As long as it is not blatant, and there are many ways of concealing extras, management usually looks the other way because the guy getting the extras is a paying customer and the club makes money as long as he comes in. If they put the stop to extras, it is Iikely that the customers getting extras will stop coming in and they will lose money. If they fire a dancer for extras, they will lose her regular customers, particularly if they go to other clubs. Some clubs impose a fine on dancers caught doing extras, but it is usually low enough that they make up for it with one or two dances with extras. Usually there is no sanctions on the customer, although occasionally they will be asked to leave. Like most things in strip clubs, whether or not no extras are enforced is all driven by money.
There is usually little downside to the club allowing discreet extras in the club. Most, but not all, clubs that get in trouble with the law or alcohol control boards, do so because of things other than extras (prostitution). Things like drugs being used or sold in the club, fights, neighbors complaining about how patrons behave, pissing on their lawns, parking in their drives, how many times law enforcement gets called out to the club, and littering are al usually bigger drivers for clubs being shut down than extras, even though extras (prostitution) are usually cited along with other causes.
Also, clubs tend to be politically connected, donating to police athletic leagues, police brotherhood drives, and politicians of both parties. If you ever look at who contributes to local political races, you will often find strip clubs donate heavily to both sides. With that money in play, those who enforce the law are likely to look the other way at extras, but not on the drugs. It is a matter of having bigger fish to fry and knowing which side one’s bread is buttered on.
It is also very dependent on where the club is located; whether or not extras are allowed is very different in El Paso or Detroit than in Denver or Omaha fo example. Time of day can also be in play, clubs are usually more tolerant of discreet extras during the day when things are slow than in the evening. Similarly, weekdays are usually better than weekends.
Just some odd thoughts. It is an interesting topic, though as I said, when you have a question about what happens in a strip club, follow the money.

Although Phoenix is OK for strip clubs, if you are in that part of the country, Tucson is much better.

To me, approval of reviews would carry more weight if the approver had actually been to the club and could better judge the veracity of the review. Maybe another approval check box that says “I have been to this club and this review is accurate” and a reject one that says “I have been to this club and the review is inaccurate.” Perhaps some indication on the review if the reviewer has been to the club.
I have rejected reviews that did not accurately reflect the club being reviewed, even though they were positive and otherwise good reviews. In a couple of cases it was obvious that the reviewer was talking about another club, which I noted in the comments.

I have seen on a couple of occasions where the club tells the waitstaff not to serve customers that they don’t want around, or that they don’t want to drink, but the club doesn’t have a good reason to bar them or kick them out.

Also because a circle is the most efficient way to cover a given area. So, the material costs are at a minimum for manhole covers for a round cover. Are you taking a philosophy or calculus course?

Thirty years ago, I had a friend who tipped dancers with $2 bills. That led to a lot of interesting things. Once a dancer looked at the $2 bill and accused my friend of giving her counterfeit. He tried to convince her it was genuine, to no avail. She took it to the bouncer and manager, complaining about us giving her counterfeit money and they came over to talk to us. My friend showed them the $2 bills he had. They went back to the dancer, explained that it was genuine. She then came over to us and complained that it would be hard to spend.
One dancer had a fit when she saw that he was tipping with a $2 bill. She said it was bad luck and we were trying to put a hex on her. He tried to give her two ones to replace the $2 bill, but she would have none of it. I finally gave her a couple of ones to make up for it and she took them from me. Another dancer saw what was happening and came over to tell us that the first dancer was into “Voodoo kind of shit” and to look out.
Another dancer came over and said she had no idea that she had been tipped a $2 bill and that another dancer had to tell her. She told us that we should warn the dancers when we tip with $2 bill.
Mostly the dancers liked the $2 bills and it got us some notoriety. More than once, a dancer walked up to us and said “You’re the guys that tip with $2 bills right?” Great conversation starter.

With TUSCL members approving reviews they can get approved very quickly. I have had some approved in less than an hour. Everyone should do their part to read and approve the reviews that are posted for review. Be critical when you review them though. There is nothing wrong with a short succinct review, but if it contains no useful information, then it should be rejected and the reviewer told why. I have noticed that there appear to be more reviews posted under the wrong club than when Founder approved them, so be careful when you post and don’t be afraid to reject reviews that appear to be for the wrong club.

If she walks away smiling, you spent too much.
The list really depends on user input. That is what makes it great. Without a large variety and quantity of reviews, the site would be much less useful. If my membership has lapsed and I want to see club reviews, I just write a review. Usually they are approved in a matter of hours. Thirty days of VIP access is well worth the time it takes to write a review.

Five out of 28. To tell the truth, not many are missued. There have been a couple of more that didn’t get reviewed. To tell the truth, there are several clubs that I currently visit that don’t seem to have enough customers to justify staying open, but have been that way for years. One is immediately led to believe that they are doing something nefarious like laundering cash. Or not.

Both. Red Parrot for higher quality dancers, but more expensive. Cabaret more of a sure thing and cheaper, but the dancer quality is lower. Red Parrot has a full bar, Cabaret is BYOB. Everyone should go to Cabaret at least once. Montana Hideaway is another choice, but less of a sure thing than Cabaret and more of a dive than Red Parrot. You should really try all three, but I would start with the Cabaret.

Day shift. Usually the cover is less, the dancers more accommodating, the club less hectic, and things in general are more laid back. There are usually fewer customers there during the day, so the dancers are happy when you show up. Often there are usually fewer dancers as well, but the dancer to customer ratio is almost always larger in the day. If a club serves reasonably priced food that is good, I will go at lunch.

I usually say yes, if I am a regular. In a new club, I usually, but not always, say yes. In new clubs I am a bit wary of being seen as a good target who does not know what is going on. One can usually get enough information from TUSCL so that one can wing it like a regular. Another good reply to the question in a new club is “Yes, but I haven’t been here in a long time.” That tells then you are not an easy target, but explains why you may not be familiar with all the ins and outs. One of the things that is always a bit of a hurdle for me in a new club is how to tip dancers on stage, so I usually observe a while before tipping.

Virginia - Last seen being walked to the door
I had a similiar experience to yours once. I walked into a club I patronized once or twice a month, back before I was laid off/retired, and in which I had a couple of favorites. One of them walked over to greet me as she always did and said “Meagan and I were just talking about you”. I must have looked shocked or surprised because she immediately said “Nothing bad, you are one of our best customers.” I got my usual great dance and then continued with Meagan. She pretty told me the same thing and asked if the first dancer had told me they were talking about me. I said yes and asked if they talked about customers a lot. She said only the good ones, like me, and the bad ones and pointed to another customer. She then told me that the dancers often texted each other about customers while the dancers were in the club. I had an even better dance with Meagan after the conversation. On occasion, I have had other dancers tell me that they talked about me with other dancers, or had dancers that said other dancers told them that I was a good customer. Not sure if it got me any more than I would have gotten otherwise though. Now that I don’t go clubbing as often, this doesn’t happen.
