    Smoking and Strip Clubs...
Of course CA is also non-smoking. Some Tampa clubs (Mons, 2001) have been non-smoking for a few years. Some OH clubs have enclosed seperate patio for smoking.

Ditto to shadowcat! But, to further elaborate on theme, I haven't yet come across a stripper that I knew in a prior "civilian life" (eg- coworker, neighbor, waitress, ex-gf, etc)

I'm mostly with Super Dude on this one. A good number of clubs don't have 'em on day shift, reserve them mainly for peak night hours. I'm not creeped out by them, generally tip if they're not too obtrusive, and have good selection of mints/cologne/gum, etc. I cut a little bit of slack, its not a good job. I've been handed free passes to club on more than 1 occasion by BR attd. Yet, a discerning guy like myself (lol) can generally discern the difference between a cool low key yet useful when needed type vs an obtrusive just lookin' for handout type, and adjust my tip behavior accordingly.

    Strip club hours.
Assuming club was previously a Mo- Sa. club: Maybe club made only 12% of weekly revenue on Mo & Tu, yet staff costs on those comprised 33% of weekly costs. Decrease revenue 12% but decrease one cost component by 33%, and profits will surely follow. Management Consulting 101 at its best. Brilliant!!

I prefer sports team analogy, breaking down by starter, reserve,draft/free agent pool. ROB's & subpars aren't on my "team".

Providence strip club hosting job fair
BG hit the nail on the head about this being a publicity stunt. I recall an instance where a local newspaper did a writeup on "OMG, A Stripclub in THIS Neighborhood" on Friday. Sat. night, there was a line waiting to get in, and a higher number of obvious "sidewalk gawkers" compared with other places nearby. Returning to club several months later had a more "normal" crowd level

If you see better looking females in Walmart than you see at the strip club, is
If wm workers ever get to be better looking than those at the Bare, top TX , FL clubs, etal, then something is really amiss!

Offtopic- Who are you picking for the NCAA basketball tournament?
Hope you don't mind me going off thread, but... My college isn't in there, so I'm not picking anybody. Of the 4 cities that I'd like to watch the semis in, based on the known strength of stripclubs would be a close tie between Indy & Phoenix(Glendale in western section of PHX). Indy has more mileage, but not as many clubs, or dancer attractiveness as Phoenix. I've not been to Memphis, but it sounds like a good joker in the deck, given the wild tales on one hand, and intermitent raids on the other hand. Boston is the weakest of the 4. Although I'm sure some Boston sports fans have adjourned to Providence clubs, I'm mainly looking for a quick drive/reasonable cab fare distance. Of the elimination round cities, I'd pick Miami, Philadelphia, Dayton, & Portland in that order.

Asian dancer in capital region NY
No. Because not many Asians live in capital NY area. No, I don't think you're weird, yes I think I can help. Apply the money you're saving by not paying Tuscl membership, apply it toward a roundtrip ticket to San Francisco (or Oakland). I think about 20-25% of SF population is Asian. Crazy Horse is a club nearest a BART stop, I gave some pointers on BART schedules in a mid 06 review on CHT. Enjoy.

    Dancers moving between clubs
I doubt that there are many dancers who stay at same club their entire dancing career. There are different variations of club hopping. Some dancers dance at 2 different clubs at once, I've seen 1 dancer at 2 different clubs on same night one time !! Then, there are CA & AZ dancers who "cherry pick" the times to go to Vegas.

Going to strip clubs 'alone' . .
Really no more so than conventional nightclubs, or even business hotels. In all my years of travel, and stripclubbing( hasn't happened while I've been there), 2 hotels where I've stayed have had murders, 2 more had shots fired at hotel with bullet damage, and 1 coworker witnessed an armed robbery. In stripclubs I've been to, there's been 1 shooting (dancer wounded by boyfriend) that I'm aware of.

One of the "laws of nature"- you will be totally ignored by truly hot dancers, even if you're the only guy in the club- they will be totally engrossed in video game, or conversation with someone. Then on a crowded night, with many dancers, you will be "cockblocked" by one of the less desireable dancers, while the ones that you want get snagged by other guys, or head back to dressing room.

Two words: Brass Flamingo. $10 LD's, & $100/half hr VIP's can't be beat, and dancer attractiveness doesn't really give away that much to Dancers, or PT's.

A generic answer to a somewhat generic question- try reading the reviews. If you don't want to submit a review for Palomino LV, or pay membership, zbone has a free site dedicated to LA area clubs.

What I get from watching the dancer on stage
I see the stage set ( I said set, not show) as an interview session, both as a "look further" and as an eliminator for reasons already mentioned by other posters. Its the intangibles & up close vibes that count. For dancers reading this, I'm not saying to just chuck the pole work, etc & just concentrate on giving guys stevies. If a dancer is good at something, & puts her in positive mood doing it, be it pole work or gymnastics, it enhances the positive mood/vibes. But that should merely be an appetizer, not the main course. Dancers that get so wrapped up in pole work/ dance routine to point of ignoring stage tippers are a turn-off.

If the exact meaning of terminology used by reviewer is going to be a dealbreaker on potential club visit, why don't you pm the reviewer in question.
