Would you say the dancers now aren't as hot as they were 10 to 15 years ago?
Jpac- The number of clubs have practically doubled in the last 10-15 yrs, so you're going to have some talent dillution. But, yes, I've noticed that in a lot of clubs.

    Dallas clubs
Rather than write a novel about my visits to several different Dallas clubs, why don't you tell us what you're looking for in a club? Glancing over your profile, you seem to have a hankering for the higher end ATL clubs like Oasis & Pink Pony. There's plenty of those around Dallas, but what is your priority on mileage, attractiveness, ammenities, etc. Do you prefer country, rock, or hip-hop? BBT sorority, or a UN conference dancer lineup? For a starting reference point, microdongs suggestion is good.

    Tampa Florida strip clubs
FCOL, if you can't have a good time at samsung or pothead suggested clubs, just enjoy the nice warm weather there. Why don't you tell us which 1-3 clubs that you've been to epitomizes your idea of fun, maybe we can give you a better answer instead of this ping-pong game going on.

Would no smoking rule hurt strip club business?
Besides the 2 Tampa clubs mentioned by OP, CA & OH have non-smoking rules. CA has been NS for quite some time- can't really say that it has hurt clubs there. As for OH clubs, some have enclosed indoor smokers patio, some smokers go outside- haven't noticed much, if any, decline in business. I think some AZ clubs have gone non-smoking route, too.

Britain's Chief Rabbi Warns of Fall of Europe
Dudester is probably half right- RE, the part about "paying dues". To post on this DB, all one has to do is register a nickname & provide valid email address. The only additional thing that paying dues (or submitting reviews) does is allow one to read the complete club reviews. That said, I'd be willing to bet the price of a VIP that OP isn't a paying Tuscl member, & just submitted nickname/email to spout off here.

    LIfetime membership cards.
I've read where zbone.com has lifetime VIP card for $49.95 ( good for free/discounted cover, etc at several Los Angeles area clubs). I'm tempted to get one, except I fear my travel patterns may change just after I get one. On 2 prior occasions where I picked up VIP club application at 2 different TX clubs (Ricks, Mens Club), my travel patterns/circumstances changed shortly afterwards.

(Who said that??)- The guy portrayed on the $100 bill. Benjamin Franklin is credited with originating phrase in USA (Sir Richards Almanac). However, phrase originated in 1477 in Caxton's "Jason", and was further expounded upon/utilized by Shakespeare in 2 of his works. Do I get a free club pass from you on my El Paso visit?? Good move, sc. I never cease to be amused by new board posters with zero reviews who ask for detailed info. Often, those folks are freeloaders. (anyone can register a handle, and post on db without spending a dime, or setting foot in a club.)

    My Baby Got a Jag
Over the years- I haven't seen any dancers with a Jag (yet), I've seen a couple of late model Vettes, and several gas-guzzling SUV's (seems to be more common than sports, or luxury cars). ss1- Hey, if I see a white ZR1 disappear from a certain Worthington dealer, I'll know who the lucky SOB is now.

2 hr. drive. I guess you could count a 2.5 hr. flight to FL when club visit(s) was 1 of the top motivations for going there.

Calling the club to ask if a specific dancer is working that night?
Not that reliable for me- maybe get a straight answer half the time. (Yes/No). The websites/recorded lineups for particlar shift are spotty, too. (One LA club is pretty accurate, another often outdated).

    How do you handle upselling?
The "lingerie studio" type of club/setup is one that I avoid like the plague. Essentially, one forks over upfront money to spend a specified period of time in a booth/room with a dancer. Initially, sounds like a fair deal- getting some naked dances for =< regular dance prices. Once back there, one is "informed" that one must fork over more money if they want something more than a lame ass performance. Given the choice between forking over a bunch of dough for nothing, or forking over some more dough for a promise of "something", many suckers opt for the later. IMO, more of a con game than upsell. Most common upsell scenario involves customer buying basic single dances & being told that "things will get better in the VIP". My attitude is that if basic dances aren't good, VIP isn't going to get better.

How long does it take them to get you off in Club? Do they try to rush you?
The key to the "answer" isn't so much a "hard number", but whether customer/dancer focus is more on the "Journey", or on the "Destination".

How easy are extras available at your club?
rk: Like you, I do some travelling, thus, no clubs are really "my club", but there are several "sortas". Sometimes, it takes a few visits to loosen things up. One can find tusclers "getting lucky" almost anywhere these days- it sounds like certain COI, Detroit, or Houston clubs are places where 1 can score on 1st visit.

Do you think SCs give you unrealistic expectations?
Yes, because stripclubs are a fantasy world to start with. One recent example of different personal reactions in "civilian" world vs stripclub world: I'm on a business trip, staying at the all too typical "captive audience" business hotel. There were no vending machines on any floor, BUT there was a "gift shop". I outrageously balked at purchasing gift shops $1.95 12oz soda, walking to an adjoining hotel & getting soda from their vending machine. Meanwhile, I buy stripclubs $5 juices/sodas without batting an eyelash. LOL, go figure............

What are the criteria for a club to make the Top 100?
MQ- Why don't you PM founder & ask him? Without getting into formulas/programs- general idea is the 100 clubs with the highest score that have a "meaningful" number of reviews/reviewers. I don't know if it is total no. of reviews, or annualized average. Now for the "score" factor: I understand that founder instituted some sort of "weighting" formula that somehow weighs various reviews/factors that only founder knows. Although it differs from longtime average reviwer score/ no. of reviewers, I still find good correlation between ratings & club enjoyability/desireability. I'm still baffled how some clubs get the score that they do. ss1- If you make money, its' an "investment". If you lose money, its a "gamble", or "speculation".

Well, sc, some of MY favorite clubs wouldn't hire 'em in the 1st place! Seeing porkers are very rare/non-existant @ Mons Venus, & several CA clubs. At "worst", maybe 5lbs or so OW tops.

Yeah, thanks fgt21. Free DR preview didn't do that much for me, although getting a preview of who is working on a particular night might be useful. $3/minute to jack off? No thanks, I'll hit a free site for that.

php- You can't do just ONE visit to the Monz, & leave it at that. More than most any club, Monz has a cornucopia type of feeling, more of a sorority party (non-alcohol) than a programmed stripclub. My ideal club would combine the basic venue & talent level of the Mons with the private rooms of Scarletts- Ybor Strip.

    Strip club chains vs. independents?
Prefer independents, OR small local "chains". Those tend to have their own unique flavor, and devote more effort to pleasing/retaining customers vs trying to maximize profit at every turn. Deja Vu & Spearmint Rhino are 2 of the largest national chains today insofar as number of clubs. Walking in there, I know that a certain minimum standard for facilities/dancer attractiveness will be met. Regretably, both chains seem to try their level damndest to make the visit an annoying one for me- excessive gimmickry, clipped songs, dancer drink hustle, pricier dance prices, obnoxious/chatty DJ's, ad nauseum. Most, if not all of these checklist items are marked off on every visit to those chains. Of the smaller national/regional chains, I favor PT's & Mens Club. I wish more clubs would be like Mons Venus or Ybor Strip on the nude side, or Brass Flamingo- Indy, Baby Dolls- Dallas, Hi Liter- Phoenix( happy hour time, anyways) on the topless side.

Hot Blonde Canadian stripper wants to make $$ in the US
ss1- I beg to differ on "pink site" advice. I think she has already been over there, as "Sara Traveller", eh?? Anyway, stripper posters over there will universally answer that money sucks in their city, be it Miami, Tampa, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, wherever. Furthermore, they will say that customers really don't know jack about the workings of a club. By setting out on the road anyway, and asking us about clubs, s_lb has demonstrated a contrarian streak. So, I'll give you some contrarian advice: If all customers were like me on my LA business trips, its a miracle those dancers make any money. I'm one of those guys that are the same height/physique as "Prince" with long flowing hair wearing an array of jewelry who thinks I'm too cool to grace a stripclub with my presence, much less buy a lapdance. If I were to "slip" and actually go there, I'd never dream of posting about it, NOT, lol.

Do guys in Strip Club washroom ask you about girls in club?
I haven't, but strangely enough, I had a dancer that I'd previously rebuffed ask me if a particular dancer had provided me a "happy ending". I told her that I was happy enough with my dance, and left it at that. She struck me as being a bit more gaudy/gauche than the norm.

Lee, a few ??'s for you........................ 1) Of the relatively few Tuscl members who post to db, how many have ever set foot in Boomers, much less go there regularly?? 2). What city(s) have you got a $25 BJ in? 3). What exactly is your reasonable desire(s)? Are you happy with a solid 1 way lapdance, or will nothing less than a BJ as standard LD fare float your boat? Your post seems a lot like a Yugo owner starting out by saying you'll take something a step above a Yugo, then "hint" that you'd sure like a loaded Corvette, but griping about the price, alluding to a cheaper modded '86 Camaro you once owned being just as satisfying.

steve- I think most Tuscl members do a good ammount of travelling. Getting the lowdown on clubs in new cities was the major motivator for me joining Tuscl in the first place.
