Oh no the guy doesn't spend at all. This club has crazy food deals like $4 for a meal with free soft drink. So potentially this guy could just sleep in his car, shower at a gym or truck stop and then basically live at the club with a $240 a month meal plan.

It's pretty common for guys in prison who are in long term solitary confinement to start fights with the guards. They want human contact and touch so badly that they are willing to get a beat down.
I wonder if there is something like that going on with SJG. Every month or two he seems to have a week where he gets off his meds and seems to WANT everyone to belittle him.

Why are you guys trying to pick apart the language? It's a report in a newspaper.

@twentyfive - When that situation happens I make sure to tell them I am OK with paying to park I just want to park myself, usually then they will concede. If that doesn't work I usually just ask for their name and ask if they are 100% sure that no self parking is the policy.
The valet kids don't want you to self park because they know they won't get a tip not because it's the policy.
In your case I would just call the valet company and tell them what happened and to make it clear to the employees there that self parking is fine if you pay the fee.
