In Sacramento area, there's the 3 Rancho Cordova clubs that are worthy and the 1 Sacramento club that is not. You can get good gropage in Rancho - my understanding is there's not COI-level mileage in the Rancho clubs but I don't know for sure. For the Rancho clubs, read tahoecruz's reviews.
Also not an authority on SF's high mileage clubs, but based on reviews here the high mileage and extras SF clubs are Little Darlings, Mitchell Brothers and Crazy Horse but you will not get the lower COI pricing you're used to in those SF clubs. Consensus here is to avoid New Century as an ROB den.
You'll get more Asians in SF than you will in Rancho but I haven't seen a high quantity of big fake boob Asians in SF.

I tend to go late afternoon early evening and avoid post-10 PM Fri/Sat sausagefest for the reasons stated above unless there's a particular girl I want to see or if the earlier timing doesn't work out.

No objection to eating in club, I just prefer to drink.
A club I frequent has lunch buffet, looks good, plenty of guys partake (more blue collar than white, but there's a mix), I don't mostly because I've got no interest in gobbling fried chicken followed by touching a girl even though I'd wash hands before touching.

More picky but not dramatically so.
Biggest change is I used to spend most of time at rail and now I spend little time there. Rail sitting initially had 2 purposes, one to see the neckedness close up because I rarely clubbed and wanted a closeup view during those rare clubbing occasions, and other purpose was using rail as bit of a shield so didn't get approached by endless stream of girls while making my own choice.
Now I sit at tables or bar close enough to enjoy view, I don't use rail to cover for my former little bitchiness, and if I'm not interested upon approach or after brief chat I politely send em packing. So yes, more picky but now I exercise pickiness on my personal likes and dislikes verbally instead of using rail as shield.
As for pickiness on mileage, I still haven't ventured into frequently asking what mileage is before I take you for dances - sometimes I get an answer that turns out to be accurate and sometimes not. My typical is the 3 or 4 dance set in VIP chairs and if mileage isn't the desired level then it's one and done pickiness for me - maybe someday I'll change to more frequent exercise of mileage pickiness in pre-dance chit chat.
I find it's difficult to predetermine mileage until you're actually in the chair - some of the most sensuous, provocative stage dancers end up having low mileage, and some of the middle to less sensuous performers end up having great mileage. Art not science I suppose, or maybe better said, hit and miss.

I don't have strip club stories like that to tell, but in college once we reached drinking age me and buddies would go out drinking on Thursday nites - one of em was very handsome guy and he'd always have the bar's 9-10 rated girl all over him and most times he'd take her home - lucky ass bastard, and he was a cool guy too

^^Sorry for not having responded to OP's actual question, as pointed out by Lone Wolf. New answer: Given that I'm average in the looks department I can't answer and for me mileage is thus girl dependent. I try em out and if I'm not satisfied with mileage I move on.

We dudes are mostly just guessing at the answer and the regular mongerer will have a better educated guess based on experience, but I think the better sources for accurate answer are our female comrades (Amelia, BG, poledancer, Nina, Eve, etc. - assuming none of them are aliases and really dudes - ha!).
My educated guesses based on experience:
--$$ is trump, especially if dude has reputation for spending / girls have seen you go upstairs with other girls.
--Good looks and decent dress draw attention, especially if you're above college age with assumption of gainful employment - I dress decent, business casual so to speak, not suits, shower and try to smell good and that certainly doesn't hurt. Not knocking my shorts and sweats wearing brothers though because based on accounts read here the shorts and sweats guys do just fine.
--Middle age and older men get an assist by being in halfway decent shape - I've dropped some pounds over past year and I've noticed that change draws increased initial attention, but it's initial attention in getting approached that's all, and ultimately being in better shape matters more to me than them because they're happy to take my money regardless of heavy or trimmer.

^^So many reasons to not give big gifts and here's two of them, never have and never will, there's just no upside. In recent thread someone posted he's gotten good return in his estimation on small gifts and that makes sense - but in the end cash is king, pay for dances not for affection.

Sounds like a unique issue, with Baby Dolls and similar clubs having all those stages and a dancer apparently (according to what's posted here) having to rotate through all of em before she can exit stage and give dances. That setup seems lame for the girl unless all that multiple stage rotation earns her more money than if (like most clubs) she has to dance on one stage or (like some clubs) she has to dance on one warmup stage followed by main stage before circulating and giving dances.
In the Baby Dolls setup (as at any club, really), seems to me the girl needs to take care of her own business and happily collect a low-tipping leach's money while circulating on the multiple stages and then move on from the leach and spend time with a better paying / less annoying customer. Her choice to let herself be cockblocked or not.
I have followed a girl to main stage when she got called up from where we were sitting and before we had moved to more private area as planned, so that I didn't lose her to a stage tipper. This thread makes me feel pathetic for even doing that; thanks TUSCL, another lesson learned.

Heck yes. Few weeks ago had a morning flight and strolling through terminal saw the open bar and had 2 pints before 9:30 AM along with my bagel & salmon. Was a great way to start a long flight.
