I'm not up to speed on the details - but for w/e reason I don't feel too-sympathetic towards these women most of whom come across as the types to use their sexuality when it was convenient to get ahead - but again, that's just from the little I know - but having said this, these chicks did not deserve being drugged even if they were the equivalent of gold-diggers using their sex-appeal for gain.
criminal verdict...get this the prosecutor wanted to send him straight to jail....he told the judge cosby was a flight risk....He said Bill cosby has a jet and he can flee the country...Bill Cosby yelled at the prosecutor "you asshole, I don't have a jet" the judge let him stay on bail until sentencing
The way that the court system handled the charges against Cosby is a disgrace for a multitude of reasons. He had a clear agreement that his deposition testimony would not be used in a criminal prosecution until the prosecutor decided that it was not politically convenient to honor that agreement. And the courts let the government get away with it. This woman decided to settle her dispute with Cosby as a civil matter (ie to make a shit ton of money) and that should have been the end of it.
And the current trial has been far more liberal than the first one was in terms of the types of extraneous indirect character evidence that was admitted. Almost all of his other accusers were prohibited from testifying at the first trial so why the fuck are a bunch of them suddenly allowed to testify at the second trial. The only reason is that the courts gave in to the political pressure from the so called me too movement. Courts are supposed to be above such political pressure and guarantee defendants a fair trial.
Because of all of these errors, my prediction is that Cosby’s conviction will be overturned on appeal. And before you say I’m wrong, remember that I predicted Trumps victory here when almost everybody thought his election was impossible.
@JS - Agree 100%. This should be a concern for all of us. Her word against his. No physical evidence. She kept in contact with him after the event. Best not to be rich and famous in modern times.
It’s not her word against his. He testified under oath he got quaaludes to drug women so he could assault them. There are 60 accusers. He did this over a thirty year period. He’s a monster. The only reason he shouldn’t go to jail is so they could cut off his dick and feed it to him.
