I've been to other clubs that would randomly close up to an hour early if there were few customers even if someone was in the middle of a dance.

Yeah they typically shutdown the stage 30 min before closing and the bouncer will ask anyone who is not dancing if they are waiting for a dancer or else leave. On the other hand if you are currently dancing you can stay past closing.

I usually have to settle for smokers even though I don't. Smoking especially weed is very common in the dancer community. In the DMV smoking in clubs in illegal but often dancers can get away with it in the dressing room. I often get dances from girls who smell like smoke and/or weed and sometimes are noticeably high.

Lack of variety comes from lazy management. Dancers typically compare themselves to the other dancers in the club and determine if they fit in. If a dancer feels like she doesn't fit in (e.g. look and act like the others) she will usually find a different club to work. Also the current dancers will refer their friends who are just like them to come dancer at that club. This how clubs lack variety. In order for club to keep variety the mangers must actively hire different types of girls rather than hiring whoever comes through the door.

A lot of the time rain makers do it to impress their friends or look like ballers. Usually they will indiscriminately make it rain on any dancer who happens to be on stage.

My advice would be to stick to gay clubs where the customers know what to expect. Often customers don't have a lot time or information to select dancers in the club. It can be quit a chore to figure out who you want to spend money on. Having to worry about which dancers are male or female can be overwhelming.
There are a lot angry guys on youtube ranting about how trannies want to be perceived as women so bad that they deceptively pursue romance with straight guys. For a tranny(pre or post op) to dance in a regular club is very dangerous. If word got out that a club had trans dancers the club's reputation and business model could be ruined. If the wrong customer was deceived the situation could become violent. Most stripclubs want to minimize violence because they are in fear of being shutdown.

I like to see dancers nude before I spend much money on them. I want to be sure I am spending on a girl that's really attractive. In bikini clubs girls can hide a lot. The lap dance doesn't have to be nude though. I can go off the memory of her nude image.

I have read that oral herpes (cold sores) can be spread to genitals. I have also read that HPV(genital warts virus) has been linked to oral and throat cancer.

Usher has a reputation for liking undesirable women. A like of people didn't understand why he married Tamika(older, MILF, not rich & famous). I think the lawsuit has no merit. Herpes is very common. A lot of people carry herpes but never show symptoms because they have a natural immunity. She has to prove that she has herpes, contracted it from Usher, and that he knowingly exposed her to it. Those are nearly impossible to prove. Usher's mistake was feeling sorry for the first woman and paying her out of guilt. Now everyone who slept with him wants to be payed.

Some girls are shy and don't handle rejection well. They will only approach guys that they are pretty sure likes them. If you want a dance from them either tip them like crazy to convince them you like them or save your tip money and approach them. Their well above average looks enables them to survive. If they had more hustle they would make much more money but nobody's perfect.

I have been to 1 club that had audition night once a week. The auditioning girls would have to do a stage set and get completely nude during their set. If they did not get nude, they would be disqualified. Otherwise they were generally hired. I did witness an overweight girl being denied the opportunity to audition.

At Exstacy(RIP) in Maryland, I danced with a girl visiting the US from India. She said if her folks back in India knew she was stripping they would shoot her.
Indian strippers may be rare but there are a ton of Indian escorts on backpage.

I haven't been to a VA club but here is what I heard. I heard that VA laws are statewide. I heard that pasties are required. No hard liquor only beer and wine are allowed.

Mondays are usually the slowest. Fridays are usually the busiest. Slow nights usually have the best value with low prices and long songs but small dancer selection. Busy nights have bad value with high prices and short songs but large dancer selection. I think Thursday is usually the best because value is high and dancer selection is also large.

Instinctually I go for body but the issue with civis that it may be a long time be for you see their nude body. I have learned from strip clubbing that a woman can look drastically different nude than clothed. So it might be a safer bet to go by face with civis.

I think it's a way for the club to take a cut of dancer earnings without extensive monitoring. I would rather use 1:1 dance dollars than have a monitor counting our dances. With dance dollars there is still a possibility of cutting deals with the dancer.

Nice boobs. I define nice boobs as natural, C cup or better with forward nipples on a fit body. Unfortunately this is quite rare. Probably about 20% of dancers have nice boobs.

I think these dancer lawsuits are bad for the industry. The dancers who win and are awarded back wages are happy now but it forces clubs hire dancers as employees. This adds a lot of overhead expenses to the club such as pay role accountants. It forces clubs to take a percentage of dancer earnings. It gives clubs merit to fire dancers based on performance. It makes it easier for government to collect taxes. Most dancers will make less as employees rather than as contractors.
