strip club auditions.

all clubs audition. or at least all the ones ive danced at. Some are actual auditions on the side stages and other are just in the owner/managers office. some are simple stage sets like a 2 or 3 songs set that is usually reserved for new dancers to make sure they can actually do it. This can happen during business hours or after hours. Others are a simple get naked and sit down and talk in the office. Kinda just to see if you A. can do it and B. how you look. but all clubs i have danced at will at least see you naked prior to you working.

Auditions at the clubs around my area must take place in walmart or costco. Actually I don't believe there is any audition process here.

I've seen a lot of them. Some clubs announce that certain days and times are set aside for auditions, or like poledancer said sometimes new girls who might get hired just get thrown up on a stage to go for it.

The whole goal of an audition is to see if a girl is gonna freak out dancing naked. i think new girls do better with a live during hours audtion. i mean we are all adults and know whats happening at the club. so basically give it a shot and if you cant do it then oh well no worries.

They used to have "amateur nights" in clubs by me years ago. Not so much anymore.

So they must have auditions before the clubs open now, as I've never seen an audition at any club I've been at.

I have been to 1 club that had audition night once a week. The auditioning girls would have to do a stage set and get completely nude during their set. If they did not get nude, they would be disqualified. Otherwise they were generally hired. I did witness an overweight girl being denied the opportunity to audition.

I have seen then about half of the times I go out. The auditions are usually unannounced on one of the side stages, at the Crazy Horse club I go. Often I wouldn't even notice them had the dancer I am with not pointed them out to me, "check out the side stage, Dom, if you're interested, there's a girl auditioning right now).

Like 8PM on a Monday or 9-9:30 PM on a Friday. I have seen auditions as late as midnight. Since I club on Fri nights, those are the ones I see, about half the times I'm out (I only go every few months, so I have no idea how frequently they really happen). The talent auditioning varies. Usually it is 2 songs. They don't always strip, not sure if that the deal just to see them move, if they forgot, or just found they couldn't do it. ??

This is the side stage closest to the bar and DJ booth.

I once tipped a girl on stage and asked her to join me when her set was over. She told me she was auditioning and could not give dances until she had been hired. Later she showed up at my table in street clothes and told me they had not hired her. However, she gave me her phone number.

I have given pep talks to new strippers who said it was their first time going up on stage and sure what to do, where it didn't sound like there was much of an audition. Maybe the interview process was "do you have any heroin tracks?" "Ok, here's your locker!"

The remember seeing one hopeful auditionee walk in and be turned away at the door after what seemed like kind of a long discussion. After she left, the club staff said she seemed like she was really strung out on molly.

I imagine many clubs audition the girls, particularly the more upscale places; it's probably just done out of sight of the custies for the most-part either during times the club is closed or in a back-office - perhaps in lower-tier clubs all they do is see that the girl looks decent enough (not a 250 lbs whale) and that may be enough. I don't think most clubs just hire anybody, some are just less picky than others but still picky to some extent.

I just don't think they announce open auditions per se except maybe a new club opening or something.

I've seen a few walk out looking depressed and even one be escorted out while claiming at the top of her lungs to have been told a blowjob was a requirement for getting hired.

I have seen new clubs post auditions, like "Job Fair" style events too, but that's obviously only when new clubs open. Solid Gold down in Pompano recently held such an event. From the looks of the girls there when I went, either their selection process is seriously flawed or they just have no standards and the whole thing was a charade

Last I knew, a public audition went by a different term, such as "Amateur Night".

Otherwise, like others mentioned, they would just be auditions, and held in an office or duing hours when the club is closed.

It seems there are not that many clubs out there that regularly have an Amateur Night. The only ones that come to mind would be some Deja Vu locations.

In total, I've only witnessed one Amateur Night. There were 4 girls participating that night, and I did not see any of them on future visits to that club.

The do at Mardi Gras and Cheetah though you wouldn't necessarily know that is what you were witnessing. The girls already have their stripper outfit on and the manager isn't going to be obvious because he is watching how the girl dances, how customers respond etc.

At the Sunnyvale Brass Rail they just do it during the weekly amateur contest / wet t-shirt contest.

At the Sunnyvale Hip Hugger they used to just do it whenever. High enough heels and costuming made a big difference in whether the girl gets hired.

Most "auditions" i have seen have happened during slow times (say afternoons/early evenings) and the girls just go on the stage and dance normally while the manager observes. Sometimes, the girls are allowed to do private dances the same day as well. There was one club that didn't charge rent for the first week or so a girl worked so she had incentive to try the place out for at least a while. Of course, once they have to start paying and they're still not making money, they quit right away. And then i've seen the clubs that do the amateur contest very regularly and that was the only way they could audition, but i haven't seen that in a long time.

At one of my former favorite clubs, they always did auditions in the afternoon, before they opened. At a different favorite club, I believe they could just show up, talk with the club owner in his office and dance onstage that night. Quite a few clubs in my experience resort to amateur contests.

At one club I was at I was seated at the bar and a young pretty girl walked up to me dressed in street clothes and asked me about auditions. She was very polite and I told her just a minute and finished my convo with the bartender, then I turned around and said to her OK your turn now show me what you've got. She didn't blink an eye and quickly disrobed, at which point one of the floor men whom I am quite friendly with walked over and asked her if she had a county dance card, she went into her bag and pulled it out, he hired her on the spot. She still works at the club and when I come in she usually gets free for a few minutes to hang with me. We both laugh when this story comes up and it does from time to time. She has even come by with a new girl a few times and told them I was her hiring manager.

The licensing requirement in most jurisdictions these days is what has done away with the promoted/advertised Amateur Night version of auditions.

15 years ago I was a regular at one of Atlanta's FBSM places and got to know the "owner" very well. So, I used to get discounts in exchange for being the test subject when new girls wanted to audition. Nice gig while it lasted!

Love auditions especially new girls that have never danced before.

One of the best things about Amateur Nights would be some of the ridiculous names that the contestants choose. I remember this one Jamaican girl went by the name "Jamaica Me Crazy".

Years ago I went to the Palomino Club in North Vegas for their Amateur Night. It was so fun, I went back the next week for another Amateur Night. It was the same line up of "amateurs" !
I should go back sometime and see if the same innocent amateurs are still trying to get their break.
