How much does the average customer spend?
I'll go with what Longball300 said...my average is probably in the $200 range.

OT. A question for all the people past 35...
Outside of the usual/obvious 'buy stock in X company' stuff, I'd say to either go work for my Godfather or to train for MMA.

    Celebrities - Strip Club
First time I ever went to a SC I saw Nick Van Exel and Sam Cassell at what was then Rolexxx (but is now Climax). I've also seen Warren Sapp at King of Diamonds (RIP), and Kevin Hart at Tootsies.

A Club for Every Day (of the Week)?
I saw the flyer on the site. Last week I was driving home from Dade and saw something on the billboard by Scarlett's that I needed to verify. Went to their website and confirmed that my vision on the road was right re: their lunch special. I figured that since ownership was the same it was worth the 15 seconds to see if Tootsies had a similar deal (they don't) and that was when I saw the 305 flyer.

I can't imagine it being that packed on a Tuesday...if I can, I'll probably try to get there before 8 and see if it's free. There was no different pricing listed on the flyer on the club site, so my guess is that pricing will be normal.

@Papi: DJ Laz is going to be there March 5. There's also going to be a 'special performance' type concert and a wet T-shirt contest (at an all-nude club, this makes no sense...but whatever). Assuming I go, I'm going for Laz. If he plays his old hits, that'll make it worth it for me. If there's a show that gets as wild as nights at Zippers used to get - where I saw tricks turned on stage I've never come close to seeing at a SC - then that's icing on the cake. For those not from South Florida or unfamiliar with Laz, Laz (Lazaro Mendez) is most famous for his time as a DJ on Power 96 in Miami. He pioneered the fusion of Latin sound and Miami bass, and had a lot of hits (including Miami el Negro, Esa Morena, Sabrosura, and Journey Into Bass) in the 90s and owned a club called Zippers. Zippers had 18+ nights on Friday and Saturday, where they often had 'dance' contests for the women. Clothing was optional more often than not. Laz sold the club in 1998, and the new owners decided to turn it into a SC...called Scarlett's.

Yeah, I suppose there has to be a bit of loyalty involved to hit any spot that often. I'll experiment with clubs to a certain extent, but I'm liable to go with the tried and true at some point when I travel. Outside of Tootsies, none of my 'highly visited' clubs has any real competition locally. DC and Atlanta policies make EI and Follies the only game in town. Funny thing is, Tuesday is the day that separates the 5s from the 4s for me...and my last Tuesday visit to Follies and lone Tuesday visit to EI were the same day (I flew from Atlanta to Baltimore). Tuesday is also the day of the above mentioned party at Tootsies, and going to Inner Room on a Tuesday would put it into the "group of 5". Tuesdays and Thursdays seem to be the hard days because Tuesdays are usually when I'm off vacations and Thursdays are the days I travel to start them.

    "How much did you bring?"
No one's ever asked me that. Dancers have done the "you know that's x amount of dances and is x amount of money" thing before, though. I tell them some variant of "I know: keep going" and then stop no later than the next song. I usually find someone else almost immediately.

    Common stripper question
It can be either/or, and between dancers I'm sure it varies. Re: a dancer trying to take advantage, I already know what the prices are thanks to being here. If she quotes something above that, I politely decline without telling her that I know what's up. One girl at Mustangs was really mad that I turned her down for $15 dances when I read they were supposed to be $10...and was going to Ebony Inn later, where the dances were $10. I drank my water and headed to EI about 30 minutes later.

With all the political talk, do you move a little left when interacting with wom
I've worked in politics for my entire SC career (about 8 years) and I've never had a political discussion with a dancer. Closest I ever got was one dancer giving me the nickname of 'Washington' when I told her what I did. Most of the discussions I have with dancers involve music.

    Anywhere there are Titties.
Do you remember the 1st strip club you went in ?
It's now called Climax (maybe with a couple extra x's at the end), but when I went it was the world famous Club Rolexxx (in Miami). My college was playing Miami in football and us sports journalism students went down to cover the game. One guy, who was pretty much the leader of the group, had always heard about the club but had never visited Miami. One of the other guys, a Miami native, promised to take him. I didn't enjoy it or do anything: my highlight was seeing two NBA stars at the club.

I think the cookies that come in the purple boxes are now known as Caramel Delights, or something like that. Those are my eternal weakness, and the reason I now have to avoid Publix.

    strip club coat check-in ?
I've never gone to a SC up north with a mandatory coat check, but I've gone to a regular club with one. Savannah's is the only one I've gone to that even had an optional coat check...but then again, I may not notice coat checks because I never wear coats regardless: I'm not outside long enough to get cold, and KOD [RIP] is the only SC I've ever waited in line to get into. At my advanced age, it's going to take a special occasion for me to stand in line anywhere. My guess as to why clubs would have them leans more toward people trying to sneak stuff in and/or the checks taking too long for security than any nickel and dime type stuff.

And what a smile it was (in reference to 25's comment)...also concurring with Warrior15, it was a great meeting. Fun was had, conversation was good, dances were bought.

Remember when there were lists here....
The only club I visited off the rankings was Inner Room. That said, I liked seeing where clubs I'd visited ranked among other clubs in the country. Seemed a quick (although not entirely accurate, for reasons listed in prior comments) way to compare my experiences to those in the best clubs.

I'm not surprised: the club had been steadily going downhill the last few years, which almost assuredly led to the money problems. G5ive started picking up steam around the same time, so I imagine the 'nightclub style with celebrities and mostly non-value dances' vibe has shifted over there.

    NCAA Football
Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State You know how hard it is as a Miami fan to put the school who took our best coach, our bitter rival, a conference foe, and the team that 'stole' a title from us as answers? Seriously, the fandom doesn't affect me that much. If they're the four best teams, they're the ones I want in. I'd easily root for Alabama, though.

    NBA Season Starts Tuesday
I think the Rockets lose a lot on defense and end up being more like previous Rockets teams than last year's outfit. GS will probably get the 1 seed in the West because of that and their own injury situation being better than last year. The East pretty clearly belongs to the Celtics. I don't think the Lakers will be that bad: I see them going 46-36. They won 35 last year - another year of experience for the young guys plus LeBron should add double digits to their win total.
