I agree with OP -- my expectations have absolutely changed over the years. I recently had a dance involving good grinding, but no touching, no GFE, no LDK and surely no extras and left quite frustrated.

It has been a number of years since I was at MBOT, but, I have to admit, my experience was more like Subra describes both in quality and price. I especially enjoyed watching a live girl-girl show between two 9's with nipple play, cunnilingus, finger play and dildo play mere feet from my unobstructed view and was really turned on. That was unique for me! I also enjoyed a lapper from the back of the porn theatre -- I didn't find it creepy.
Arrive as early as possible to avoid the step-up cover charge. Visit every room while there. Do it all. Act like you're a regular. Plan on staying several hours and bring 2 to 3 times what you might spend elsewhere, just in case the inspiration strikes you. You will not need $1,000 to have a pleasantly memorable experience. Since becoming a TUSCL member, I have concluded there are several towns/clubs that should be on every SC hound's bucket list. I would say MBOT counts as one of those places. Other SF strip clubs, to me, are not that much different from clubs that can be found elsewhere all over the country. SSDD. MBOT is one of a kind. Not saying it is a tremendous value (see Tijuana), but it is to be experienced.

Vegas is the one destination in the US (except for maybe Boston) where I do not bother to SC any more. For that kind of money, just take a limo to Pahrump for gosh sakes.
IMO, the entertainment (and action) in the casino bar areas is preferable. Had great success at Flamingo, MGM, PH, Caesars, Excalibur, Ballys, Paris . . . Well, to be true, all of them really. Happy hunting.

Completely agree with Subraman. Once upon a time, had some of the best times in SF SCs. Now, not sure I would waste any money there. Politicians, activists and LE fucked it all up.
Based on my travels, Detroit is the hands down winner with something for everyone's taste and budget.
Question -- if one is flying into BOS Logan and taking MBTA to one's hotel, how does one get to Providence, RI??

Detroit clubs have spoiled me! If I'm not getting extras, it doesn't matter how hot she is. The internet is for looking. SCs are for touching, tasting, etc. Simple as that. This is why I will NEVER SC in Vegas. Ever.
I would have thought that clubs featuring super-hot air dances are nearly extinct (or should be). I understand that there are non-extras regions where they'll exist for some time.

I figured it out once -- I think I might be going on well over 15,000 times since getting married. I think I have even gone from a club in which I got ITC and then rubbed one out in the hotel room less than 2 hours later. Why??? No lie -- I've been with these two in the video, like 20 years ago. I was watching this recently and freaked out! I worry that this might have been some trafficking shit as the video was recorded in NY and I saw them both on the track in SF. I do not think either had a pimp at the time, but maybe they did. I will never know.

Agreed with above -- trafficking is complete bullshit -- even if it only happens in one in 50 cases, it is dirty enough to lead squares to believe that ALL dancers, escorts, etc. MUST be trafficked into the lifestyle, which ruins it for us all.

Vegas Clubs are a horrible value. I advise to stick with casino girls. For half the cost, you can get a fun private show in your room and a finish worth paying for.

I tend to agree with JS69 and TiredT. For me, extras are greatly preferred and ultra high mileage (at least) is essential. After too too many years of being a SC PL, only looking and limited touching is a non-starter -- I don't care how amazing looking she might be!

Having been to these places back in the day, I would argue that Hof and his fucking HBO specials did more to raise the prices to unrealistic levels for the common man than anything else.
