It's slavery, regardless of the use to which the victims are put. It's also apparently not as overwhelmingly common as certain parties would like us to believe.
I find myself in agreement with those who believe that the proper punishment for slavers is for them to be made slaves.

I find it to be a scam. They used the trafficking bullshit to crack down on Providence strip clubs and then had to admit that not one fucking dancer was there involuntarily.
Pimps in America are notorious for praying on young under age homeless girls that they raise up then turn out as they say

I've never really understood the need for a girl who works in a reputable strip club (i.e. non-dives) to have a need for a pimp.
In my years of clubbing, I've never run into a girl who had a pimp that I know of. (Unless you want to include club managers as a pimp?)
Every girl I've had OTC meetings with, I've known for quite some time and we got to know each other and each other's lives over a long series of meeting ITC or OTC. I've never been trailed or saw anything out of the ordinary with the girls at the strip clubs.
Now, I can see why a back page girl, street walker, escort, etc might feel the need for protection, but again, never saw the need for something like that in the majority of strip clubs I've visited over the years.

I think legalizing prostitution would actually help decrease human trafficking. It is something that I wish didn't exist and a ton of women are forced into sex slavery unfortunately.
Still lots of trafficking in Germany with legalized P4P. We need a rule that, if you report a felony, you get automatic immunity on misdemeanors. Cops who don't treat people with respect, sex worker or not, need to be told to find a new career.
No lie -- I've been with these two in the video, like 20 years ago. I was watching this recently and freaked out! I worry that this might have been some trafficking shit as the video was recorded in NY and I saw them both on the track in SF. I do not think either had a pimp at the time, but maybe they did. I will never know.

Agreed with above -- trafficking is complete bullshit -- even if it only happens in one in 50 cases, it is dirty enough to lead squares to believe that ALL dancers, escorts, etc. MUST be trafficked into the lifestyle, which ruins it for us all.
Idk too much about human trafficking here in MI, but I know a LOT of the extras girls here in Detroit have pimps. Don't know too much about lower end clubs but there's a lot of pimping in the mid and upscale ones.
It happens a lot more than people realize. I once worked in a club with several Eastern European dancers and at the time I didn't give it much thought. They had a guy who traveled with them and I assumed he was a boyfriend or something until I was watching something and found out he was a pimp who would bring over girls from poorer countries saying they'd have a better life. Some become prostitutes, others strippers who may or may not be prostitutes (I'd bet most do both but not sure). Even American dancers can fall prey. I couldn't begin to mention all the men I met in clubs who promised me so much who were pimps. I actually fell for one myself, he was charming and I thought he liked me for me until he started pressuring me to sleep with other men. When I said no he dumped me. He made his living off other women mainly but at the time I didn't know (and no I didn't meet him as a customer, he worked at the club). I've known many women who fall for pimps and it's sad.
