I do one-day binges. I'll hit 5-10 clubs the same night, very easy to do in the NE Ohio area.

Keep this in mind: Even if your BAC is under .08, you can still get a DUI. If your driving is impaired by any amount of alcohol you can get a DUI. The .08 level simply allows the law to "presume" you're impaired.
As far as buzzed driving, I assume if you're buzzed, you are impaired to some degree. Maybe you're still careful and obeying speed and other traffic laws, but your judgment still isn't at 100%. Shit can still happen.
Here's a personal note. Twenty years ago I was rear ended by a buzzed driver. The guy had left work, grabbed a couple of beers and headed home. It was near Christmas and we were navigating a busy road by a mall. The guy took his eyes off the road for a moment, then slammed his work van into the back of my little college Civic. There was no damage to the van, but my car folded up like an accordion. He blew under an .08. I have permanent neck and back problems. He paid a small fine, did three days at DUI camp and received a 6-month license suspension (with driving permitted for work). I spent the next year going to a neurologist and received a small settlement that has long since vanished to pay for a variety of medical treatments. To this day I wish the guy hadn't been buzzed driving. Please don't take the risk!!!

Dancer95 - The quality here has taken a total nosedive in the past few years. I've hit dive bars in this area for 25 years. Although they were dives, I used to see a lot of hot women. Sure there were a few carrying some extra weight or others who were just bad, but they were the exception. Now there are awful, awful dancers all over the place--women who probably shouldn't even be taking their clothes off in private who for some reason think they can make a living doing it. I'd love to see your 108 lb. ass here, and you might bank. But girls like these have lowered the quality so much that a lot of guys stop at a club like this once, then turn around and never come back.
Papi - I've written these people off as clueless. They don't seem to want to run a club that hobbyists would actually like. They're running a cheap bar with dancers as window dressing. The managers and bartenders are all very big girls themselves, so I'm guess they never danced and have no idea how to run a SC. Looks like they've hired some of their friends to work there. We know how that goes: "Oh, you have a good body, honey. A lot of guys would like you. You're just curvy. You could dance."
Hey, so what are you folks doing for Halloween?

I posted another one that was even worse! To make up for it, I agreed to go review the place. Many times in NE Ohio dive bars, there is a wide range of girls--from a vomit-inducing 1 all the way up the scale. (Also, I like to look at car wrecks.)

PhantomGeek, the best therapy I could think of was hitting another club to help wash away the memory. The people running this place obviously had a few bucks to spend cleaning up this dump. They redid the main area, added a patio and dumped money into radio ads. You'd think they buy a cheap couch and put some drapes around it if they were going to sell VIPs. The one thing I did notice was just how cheap the booze was. The other customers were downing $2 beers with $2 shots, and the bartender was pretty generous with the pours.I got the feeling the people running it had never been to a club before. But hey, the cheap liquor probably makes the talent a lot more appealing.

Sorry to hear. A popular, hot dancer in my territory just OD'd last week. I didn't know her well, but your story reminded me of an old favorite of mine who was an addict and took her life via suicide. What a waste. The drug problem in my area has gotten so bad I don't look forward to clubbing like I used to. Way too many girls zonked out of their minds and way too many dealers standing around waiting to make a sale.

You should be ok. If you're not a regular and didn't otherwise call attention to yourself, they're probably not going to remember you. If the bouncers do and want to start shit over it, I'd ask to speak with a manager. Just explain that you're a returning customer who had a negative experience with a dancer who tried to scam you. If they still claim you shorted her, ask for proof. If they're going to be dicks, why spend your money there?

This might be the single most informative discussion I've ever seen here. I also agree it's refreshing having a newbie come asking questions.
The only thing I can add, or actually reiterate: For the love of all that is good and decent in the universe, please do NOT go to the clubs looking for love. Clubs are about fantasy, one that will break your bank account and crush your soul if you take it seriously.

I've met three who finished nursing school and are doing well (though one has packed on an extra 75 pounds and another-a gorgeous little Filipina-added about 50 pounds). I met one who did finish law school but decided not to be a lawyer. The last I saw of her she was bar tending.
My favorite story involves a dancer who was in college and intended to be a doctor. One day at the bar she was staring at the stage and motioned at the stripper pole. One thing to keep in mind here, the bar was in an old building with an upstairs that was used as the VIP room. She told the bartender, "Whoever bought this place was wise to choose an old firehouse." Yes, she believed the stripper pole had previously been one of the poles firemen slide down and the VIP room were their sleeping quarters. The bartender laughed so hard she actually peed her pants in front of us.

I always so no to pressure. I'd prefer her crying over being turned down to me "crying" later about the $25 I allowed myself to be pressured into blowing.

There are a lot of good comments here. I think TheeOSU is correct when he says clubs are an easy target because they're a safe bet for cops. There's little chance anyone will get hurt. They end up citing a few strippers and the club. It makes for good headlines. The public sees arrests for sex and drugs and since they already have a negative view of dancers and strip clubs they feel the world has been made a better place.
Anyhow, I'll jump off of TheeOSU's point and note that oftentimes only certain clubs get targeted even though the same activities may be going on all over. In NE Ohio, a small handful of clubs always seems to take the brunt of LE attention. Those are the clubs that do the worst job of covering up the extras. For years, Lisa's Cabaret would be hit almost annually with a LEO visit while the other clubs were left untouched. The place was never anything more than a brothel with a stage so it was easy pickings. The cops would make a few arrests and for the next week or two all the clubs in the area would make attempts to demonstrate they were trying to stay "in line." There was less contact in the floor dances, and some clubs would station an employee near the VIP area to give the appearance the VIP rooms were being monitored. Eventually normality would resume. This arrangement seemed to make everyone happy. The cops and the local DA would get a few headlines. The clubs would demonstrate they got the message before returning to business as usual. Lisa's would just hire a few new faces.
In the case of The Nest, a bar on the far west side of Akron, the young DA was able to make the case to close that place down because the owner let the place deteriorate so badly it became a health risk and some of the staff were selling drugs. Easy target. Easy shutdown.
I don't think it's a good idea here to be explicit in the review (mentioning names and acts), but if the cops were following this site closely, they would be able to steadily arrest dancers and harass clubs. I have to believe any information posted here is just secondary info the cops use as justification to target a club.

TheeOSU - It's in south Canton on McKinley Ave. They just opened late last year. I used to hear radio ads for them saying they were the best club in the area. I'm guessing they hadn't been to any other clubs.
I will be visiting in two weeks. The plan is to do an honest recon, bleach my eyeballs and then hit another club.
PhantomGeek - If there was a 2 a.m here, I'd think the cops would call it a mercy killing.

I actually did graduate from law school but decided not to be a lawyer.
I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were.
That orgasm was real.
I'm divorced, and my ex is completely out of the picture.
I always get excited when I see you walk into the club (has never danced for me before)

Dammit! When I have a chance to go out and review some clubs, maybe I will visit this place. There will be a full, explicit, in depth, no holds barred review with plenty of details. Admit it. TUSCL wants it.

For those of you who are late to the party, the photo has been removed. Here's a photo (below) of the rest of the club's staff. Imagine them in dancewear, and you'll have a good idea of what the strippers look like.
I'm sure they're lovely people. They just need to find dancers who don't weigh in at 250 lbs. or look they were pulled out of meth house.

I've gone several times on the 4th. As noted here already, the clubs tend to be slow so you can get lots of attention. Also, I found that clubs had fewer bouncers working because they expected little business and wanted to give some of their employees a day off. I usually ended up at the club late after whatever party I attended was breaking up. I'd make it to the club after 11. What dancers were working always intended to make the most of their time and bring some money home. Since it's the beginning of the month, I could count on dancers working hard to make their rent.
One warning--heavy cop presence so I'd definitely want to keep any drinking to a minimum.

This has been an interesting, informative discussion. I really think ibbaicnl and lopaw hit the nail on the head. This customer went into the club with the same attitude as many of us--that we deserve special treatment because of who we are. We're better tippers; more respectful, cleaner, smarter, etc. Or, we know the "game" better than other customers; we know the best way to fulfill our needs and pay the dancer that benefits us both best. Even subconsciously, I believe that's what's going on inside us. In a way, it makes sense. We're at the club to spend money and expect the best customer service.
When we don't get it, we ask why. Sometimes it's because the dancers are more focused on other customers, or some of them are suspicious of us because they don't know us, or they're just lazy.
Whatever. The reviewer blames her experience on being a lesbian. Hey, maybe that was one piece of the puzzle. At the end of the day, the dancers can dance for whomever they want. I've come to the conclusion the reviewer made no efforts to get attention--she didn't tip on stage, didn't go ask for a dance, etc. She certainly made no mention of it. It sounds to me that the club was fine and she was just a piss-poor customer.
Anyhow, I'm going to jump back on the "disgusting old men" comment. What an asshole comment. That's like going into a country western bar then complaining about all the "#@$@%$ shitkickers and cowboys"; or walking into a hip hop club and complaining about all the "n***ers"; or slipping into a latino club and bitching about all the "wetbacks." What the fuck did she expect to find and why denigrate everyone else? If you go out into OUR clubs with that kind of attitude, maybe you shouldn't expect special treatment or any attention at all.

"disgusting old men" -- wow, how judgmental is she? Maybe the dancers picked up on her nasty, judgmental attitude and didn't want to go near her or her girlfriend. Maybe the dancers found something disgusting about her and her date (and I don't mean the lesbian part).
I bitch about being ignored in a club, but I know enough not to be surprised if it's my first time there. Dancers, like most people who have something to sell, prefer to deal with "known" customers. If you seem out of place, I can understand them preferring to go to customers they do know or the "disgusting old men" they're familiar with.
Also, did they take into account that the dancers may have been suspicious of them for other reasons? They could have been friends to a woman who was pissed off her husband/boyfriend was at the club and was looking to start problems. They could be friends with a woman whose girlfriend worked at the club. When you look out of place (and this has nothing to do with being gay), people are going to be suspicious.
I'll throw in some more possibilities. I know dancers who hate dancing for lesbians because they've found too many of them are willing to grope their tits and crotch on the club floor! (Apparently they feel that, because they are women, the bouncers are less likely to throw them out.) Also, how much do lesbian customers "typically" spend in clubs? Are they likely to ask for a VIP? How much money would this club lose if no one from the LGBT community ever stopped there again?
At the very least, they received an apology. Any of you guys ever received an apology after you were ignored at a club? I never did.

Also, could you please post a couple of reviews first? Coming here with no reviews and asking for explicit info on clubs in a specific area makes you sound like LEO. FYI--if you are LEO. Great fucking job on ruining the club scene in Cleveland.
