I really don't have much in the way of social friends, just a handful of people I game with every couple weeks. The guys are pretty straight-laced, so I'm pretty sure even fringe entertainment like strip clubs (even just for viewing) would be out of the question.
But I proudly admit that I'm a nerd/geek and I've delved deeply into this hobby pretty much all by my lonesome for probably over 30 years now.

I prefer the GFE, too. When it's more interactive, it just feels like a much better, more complete experience. When it's non-GFE, it's about as rewarding as whacking off to porn; sure it gets the job done, but it just doesn't feel like it.

Shallow, self-absorbed people. One dancer I met couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous she was. Even during the lap dance, she wouldn't shut up about how gorgeous she was. She couldn't figure out why her boyfriend broke up with her, considering how gorgeous she was. After the dance, I bolted from the club, despite how gorgeous she was.

Yeah, I don't understand the point in surfing the Net while you're in a strip club. It's sort of like watching a movie on your tablet while you're at a Rolling Stones concert. Put all of your attention to one or the other; you won't be able to fully appreciate either if you divide your attention like that.
One club I went to does a pat down and wands patrons. The bouncer asked me if I had a cell phone. When I told him it was out in the car, he said, "Good place for it."
At another club, I'd check the time on my cell -- that's about it. One time, a couple of bouncers were moving fast through the crowd. I heard one of them say something to the effect of "fuckin' idiot takin' fuckin' pictures."
One club let me bring a camera in. I showed it to the door guy/bouncer, asked him if it was okay, told him I was just going to show one of the dancers some pics I took at a convention. He told me, "No problem, just don't take any pictures of the girls."

One dancer I saw at Dream Girls several years ago was tiny little thing, with an athletic body, long dark hair, and a fantastic face. Given that and her energy on stage, I thought she was 19 or 20. Nope -- 37. She had that schoolgirl giggle in the bed dances, too. Damn, I miss her.

Fuck buddies and work can only lead to trouble. Hell, female friends and work can only lead to trouble. I was just hanging out with a couple women at one job, but one was so bat-shit crazy (with the other as her apprentice), I think some seriously fictional stories got me put on the "let's lay this shmuck off" list. And they were just supposed to be friends, nothing more!

Goodsouthernboy, I have to agree with everyone else -- pass on this. I've used Backpage before, but I've always cross-checked it with TER -- not just their reviews but their forums as well. A lot of guys don't post reviews but bring up potential dates on the different threads; a lot of the more-seasoned members tend to backchannel information, too. There are some other review sites as well, such as BigDoggie and Naughty Reviews; I haven't used them so I can't vouch for them.
Three reasons I can think of, off the top of my head, why she wouldn't have any reviews on TER: 1) like another person said, they were lousy reviews, so she deleted her account, 2) she's never had any reviews, and 3) she got booted from TER. Anything like that's a red flag for me.
A webcam meeting would be a red flag, too, especially if any request for credit-card information accompanied it. Why she wouldn't use a referral service, like RS2K, I don't know, which is another red flag for me.
Passing on this potential problem is easily the best option. Just take the time to do your research and you *should* be okay (no guarantees, after all).

I prefer FBS massages on a table, bed, or, in some instances, even the floor.
As for sitting in the club, I prefer sitting in a chair at a table a little ways away from the stage. I don't know if it sends a message -- don't really care either. I just want to get to see as much of the stage as possible.

It doesn't matter a whole lot to me appearance-wise, but if a dancer's going to be swinging her legs around and I'm just a little too close or her legs are a little longer that I expected, I'd rather she have, at most, sneakers. Those stripper heels HURT!
