Famous people become symbols. We tend to place outsized importance on what they do or say. We also are inclined to attribute viewpoints to them that are consistent with how we see them symbolically, whether or not they are fair attributions. Many politicians, such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Donald Trump, function as catnip to both their supporters and detractors. They well understand that and use it to their advantage.

Illbbaicnl, suggested asking a stripper if she’d accepted Jesus. That reminded me of a time a stripper asked me the exact same thing. As to being asked what brings me out tonight, I usually just tell them I’m horny and sometimes ask what brings them out tonight. Regardless of how she answers, the response is often interesting.

I’ve used the Karen term but perhaps that’s regrettable because I know some nice Karens in real life. Perhaps a better term could be adopted. Having said that, there definitely is a subset of rude, entitled busybodies who persistently think that being a pain over minor shit is an appropriate way to act. I suppose this could be studied and I could be wrong but I don’t think this behavior tracks with race or gender. I’m not sure about age.

To me it depends on how hard she seems to be trying. By that I mean, if it seems to come natural, yes, I like it. But if she seems to be playing the part of an educated, cultured person, it falls flat.

To everything, there is a season… I guess with me, I like to zone out of stuff that doesn’t interest me. So when I’m in the club, I only care about the gals, unless I want another beverage. I’m not rude but lean toward keeping to myself. So it’s like a lightly jarring event if some random dude tries to strike up a convo with me in the club. That’s always been the case with me and not a post covid thing. I try to be situationally aware and observant but not engage.

Other than some sports, I watch very little TV. I don’t say that to be critical of those who enjoy it. I’m just laughing at how out of touch I’ve become with the medium. This thread is reading like a foreign language to me.

Technically this is not an actual event but the Twins had just beat Detroit to win the ALCS in 1987. Obviously well before the days of social media, word on the street was that the players would be brought from the airport to the metrodome that evening for a celebration. I went there with a few buddies on faith, thinking there would be a small handful of us in the stadium. Or that maybe we were just gullible. We walked in, free of charge, and the dome was packed. The players were brought in and were in shock. We all were. The Twins went on to beat the Cards in 7 games is a season where GM Andy McPhail said “we were just trying to get organized and then we ended up winning the whole thing”.

I wont name the club but was returning from a hunting trip, all rammy after a week of hunting, and with money to burn. I stopped at a club and the lightest stripper in the place had to be pushing 300 pounds. It was so bad she came over and offered free dances and I still declined. I was afraid of what may have come flying out of her ass if she pointed that thing my direction and tried to twerk. It was a multi day drive and I’d heard good things about another club along the way. I figured I’d make up for the night before. But they were closed one day a week. It was the day I stopped by.

I keep messages for the most part. I guess I figure it’s easier to refresh my recollection of a conversation by reading the actual convo, rather than relying on my memory. In reality though, there probably isn’t a need to do that.

I don’t. I’ve checked ahead of time if I want to read up on a club.

Around here some businesses are requesting customers to wear masks but there are no statewide mandates nor have I heard talk of any mask mandates or business shut downs again.

If I remember correctly, I think Nina said she was mixed race. That makes for a gorgeous skin tone and there probably isn’t a color that wouldn’t look good. I think it also depends a lot on a club’s lighting. For instance, black would look sexier in a club where one can see a bit. But there are caves one can see in better than some clubs and I like the brighter colors on a gal so I can see where the fuck she is.

I’m guessing Nina could wear any color and look great. That said, I actually like the neon stuff. I might be in the minority on that, I realize.
