I have been to/go to TJ and still enjoy American strip clubs. It's a different experience. The girls in TJ are definitely very hot, but it's also not nearly of a classy environment and not very good for conversations, unless you're particularly good in Spanish. I'm not too bad at Spanish and can easily get by with a bit more than just small talk, but it's very hard to have a meaningful conversation. If you're into that sort of thing it's nice to go to an American club still.
If you're purely just trying to bust a nut, then yea - TJ is pretty much the best way to go. I still know of a few places in the US where I can find a much higher 'dancer quality' on average than TJ - but you can definitely find hot girls in TJ too, I've just found it's a bit harder and there's quite a few not-so-good looking girls mixed in. Not a big deal when you can still get to the hotties, but there's plenty of American clubs where the minimum standards are a bit higher.

I have been there on numerous ocassions and never really felt unsafe. Obviously be smart, maybe put a $20 bill in one of your shoes just in case you lose your wallet you have enough to get you back to the US (and then some).

I don't really know why mileage is low San Diego either, but for some reason it's actually among the lowest in the country. Good thing Tijuana is close.

Highest mileage in Manhattan is easily at Flashdancers. Private rooms are extremely expensive but the lap dances at $20 per are usually very good, provided you found the right girl. Some other clubs like Ricks Cabaret in Manhattan are basically just offering air dances. Big waste of $ there.
You can also find high mileage clubs in Queens, such as Gallaghers 2000. However, I haven't found a place with more beautiful girls than Flashdancers.

You can't get STDs by having a dancer suck your finger, but you can get STDs from a blowjob. So it's definitely two different things entirely. I still partake in BBBJ from time to time myself, tough to resist, but beware of the risks.

I'm pretty familiar with NY area clubs. I haven't gotten around to writing all the reviews yet, but will eventually do so. I also have some degree of familiarity with Tijuana. Ultimately I know where to find the hottest girls and the best mileage. Unfortunately both of these don't coexist at the same club.

I prefer to be in clubs where dancers are good about approaching customers, even if they aren't a regular, etc. But short of that, a good way to get attention is to tip them when they're on stage. If you are the biggest tipper during their stage set, they'd be silly not to come over to you. And if that doesn't work, it should not hurt to approach the dancer if they're standing somewhere or sitting somewhere alone. Be simple with your approach, they should get the idea right away that you're interested in them and should be pretty happy to take your $. If a girl is really just standing around or sitting down the whole time and not approaching guys then maybe its not even worth approaching her - in my experience even if these girls are hot they usually aren't so passionate about their job and the dances won't be as good.

GMD - but $5k a year is way more understandable than $60k/mo.
At $60k you might as well just skip the strip club and just buy out the most expensive hooker listed on Eros Guide. She'll probably live with you for that sort of money.
I think Charlie Sheen even spends less on his girls, though I may be mistaken.

I agree with rickdugan. I have the phone numbers of quite a few dancers. Some use it solely for sending messages saying they "miss you" and want to see you in the club, etc. Obviously all SS but of course some guys fall for it and they can be persistent. Then there are girls who rarely respond to txts, etc. And then there's quite a few girls that are flaky with meeting up. So in the end, a number is a start but is unfortunately not even close to a guarantee of OTC.
The most numbers I've gotten in one night is 2, unfortunately both of these didn't result in actual OTC.

Near Los Angeles, check out City of Industry. I've heard good things about Deja Vu and Spearmint Rhino out there.
For San Diego, definitely go to Tijuana. Mexico may "seem" unsafe to you but in reality it's not all that bad (at least Tijuana). I've been there many times and will continue to do it. There's a wealth of information in the posts on these sites regarding things you should consider before making the trip. There is also lots of information elsewhere on the web, such as on tjamigos.com (definitely join this site if you want to go to TJ). Sure, it can be sketchy in TJ and there have been some stories but relatively speaking these are extremely rare occurrences and the street where the clubs are on is pretty safe overall and there are so many tourists who come there regularly. Use the taxi cabs and you'll be perfectly fine.

Interesting figures there. I know one club that probably have closer to as many as 200-300 different dancers in a pool that they pull from. But many just aren't available for working at the time, some just come to visit, etc.

I used to take care not to wear jeans and mostly went in khakis. But to tell you the truth, I've still gotten very good contact in jeans. So I don't think it makes that big of a difference to be honest with you.

Well, the downhill economy (i.e. since a few years ago especially) has "helped" (or "hurt" things, depending on how you look at it) as well. Girls realize that in order to make more money in some clubs they need to offer more than just lap dances, or at the very least they need to give very good lap dances with high contact. Even in some NYC places I go to frequently I've noticed that some girls give way more contact than some other dancers and they're obviously doing it because that helps foster regulars and gets them more $ in the end.
Even without a downhill economy the prospect of earning more $ will always lead to girls thinking about offering more than just a standard lap dance. Perhaps before they ever started working in a strip club they would have never considered offering more than that, but once they start working in the club there is a smaller boundary between being a dancer and prostitution, especially if other girls in the club are offering extras. It's practically a domino effect.

I haven't found any place better than TJ in North America. Once you are savvy with the place there is really nothing better if what you are looking for is sex with beautiful women.
Don't worry about safety too much. The 'zona norte' as they call it is actually quite safe. I've been down there 8 nights so far on two different trips. Looking forward to the next visit.

I like having a nice buzz from alcohol, but that's generally about as far as I will go. I'll never want to get to the point that I don't know where I am or what I'm doing.
Overall for me drinking while at a strip club is part of the experience, I don't like clubs where you can't also drink.

If you have enough discipline that you won't start using the credit card or debit card, then you might as well just keep it with you, unless you're going to sketchy place that you're worried about pick-pocketing or something...
