With that kind of money, I don't think I would go every day, but I'd definitely go something like twice a week and spend quite a bit of money in there. I'd even go for the pricey champagne rooms and not even care.

I always shower before going to a club, and if extras are administered, I'll shower afterwards too.
Even if I'm going back from work, or whatever, I'll always stop by home first to make sure I'm all fresh for the club. It's only fair to the girls and they do appreciate guys who smell nice (or at least don't smell foul).

I sometimes find a girl who's a 9 that's willing to give higher mileage than some of the 7s, but they are more of the exception to the rule.
Ultimately, you'll see that the worse looking girls are more desperate to make cash.

Yeah, could have been so much worse than $150. Sucks to lose it, but there have been bigger cases of ripoffs before.
Prepaying just isn't good. If we're talking about just prepaying before a regular dance, I'm not totally against that (though it's not preferable), but I'd never prepay for extra services.

There's a club called Saint Venus Theater (SVT), and I'm 99% sure that's what she is referring to.
It's basically an underground wall street (as in people who go there tend to work in financial district) hangout where indeed rules are extremely lax.
You'll have to Google some more to find details about the events. With some crafty social engineering, it's not very hard to become a part of them. ;)

Your assessment of the rooms is fair - but I'd say that if a man wants to spend $700+ they might as well go for an escort at that price range. I don't see private rooms in any Manhattan club as a good investment personally.
And yes, some NYC girls are good hustlers, but there's plenty who also give a pleasant experience and don't try to attack your wallet. I've been clubbing in NYC for long enough to know this.

I would disagree on Ricks having the best mileage.
Best mileage in and Manhattan and usually best looking girls (especially if you like Eastern European, although there's usually more variety)- Flashdancers. $20 dances are usually a very good value here. Drinks are expensive, and private rooms are not worth it - but still good lap dances.
If you are willing to venture out to queens, Gallaghers 2000 is not bad either. Mileage is better than Flashdancers here. Drinks are cheaper, and private rooms are much cheaper.

The camera feed is not high quality enough nor forgiving enough on the girls to be able to tell if they're actually hot or for them to look decent. With a club that's lit appropriately, flaws on a girl's body can often be hidden and it's obviously much easier to tell if a girl looks good in person vs a photo/video feed.
I remember when I was in Adelita Bar in TJ, you'd have to be really careful because the lighting in the club was so forgiving to the girl's bodies that they'd in many cases look about 5-10 years younger downstairs vs upstairs. Of course not always the case, but this wasn't uncommon.
Not sure how Mons Venus is lit, but I'm sure whatever they're doing works fine for them and their day patrons. And I wouldn't be surprised if the nightshift was indeed a lot better.

I like to go about once a week, sometimes less frequent though. I have previously gone more regularly than that though.
It does get addicting, and frankly it's a pretty good form of relaxation after working really hard.
I'm not one of them, but over here in Manhattan it's people in wall street/financial firms who seem to spend huge amounts of $ in the clubs. To some of them, blowing $2000 on even just one visit is perfectly okay .

kittykate, not sure honestly. I think steve's explanation makes more sense. You probably won't be lucky enough to get both $ and sex, but I wouldn't be surprised if that does happen in some situations.

Did some more research on this whole issue, and apparently this is an extremely common scenario at least here in NYC. One girl explained to me that there's actually guys who act as agents (whom they pay a few thousand) to pair them up with a guy who's willing to marry them. Interesting stuff.
I don't really see how this is a 'scam' - but I can understand why it's not really ideal and perhaps not worth the money for most people. But it's still really common here, apparently.

If it was dark, maybe she just assumed it was a $20 and didn't realize it was a $50, and had a nice surprise later when she checked how much money she earned for the night.
