Lap dances that suck big time
We had one dancer that had returned to her former club for a big weekend anniversary party and feature dancer night. She was AA, very tight body with exceptional pole skills. I arranged for my husband and I to get some private dances but did not pin down the number in advance. Boy was I glad we could beg off after one! She was extrememely athletic and did exactly one gymnastic move for each of us but other than that totally no touching at all. 98% air dance and not even close proximitry. She just did not get it. After the one dance she was asking if we were interested in VIP with her! Totally disappointing and a reminder that the best private dances don't always come from those that have the best "advertising" on stage.

Is there any mileage available in the other 48 states?
We agree with Brewerfan. A lot of it is about being known as "safe" at the club. Being known as "safe and a good tipper" is even better. We are in the Chicago area and at our favorite club, "extras" are certainly offered. Sometimes, depending on the dancer and her potential for making $ that evening, they are sampled in the Flame Room ($30 per song) but most frequently they are reserved for VIP and Champagne Rooms there. Of course, in Chicago area, one also has to be prepared to tp tip the bouncer pretty substantially as well.

Samsung, I have to laugh at your comment. Does a stripper actually believe an undercover cop will tell her if he is there undercover? "But, your Honor, I ASKED him if he was a cop before I offered extras!!!" The idea might have been on her mind but with that kind of emptiness rolling around up there I am sure it did not stay long!

    Another travel topic
This is from mrs m00tpoint who used to work hand-in-hand with CBP for import and export compliance. You CANNOT get back into the US legally with just a birth certificate and drivers license any longer. Do not listen to wwpmi or you will have a heap load of trouble. The issue is, and has never been, getting into Mexico. It is getting back into the US. I won't make any comments about safety, etc there. You can see whatever the current condition is yourself by checking out the advisories on the CBP website.

    really subjective...
We completely disregard the numerical assessments by reviewers understanding that this is completely subjective and most posters don't rate the same way we do. The exception to that would be a "1" or a "10". We get that most guys are more visual than women (we are the exception to the rule as my wife is FAR more visual than me and pickier too) but we would rather have an attractive girl who appears to like what she is doing and is having a good time than a perfect 10 who is snooty or acts bored.

    Interesting Dancer Names?
Thanks, Fetish! We are a couple. I assume all of the clubs you mentioned would be couple friendly? We don't have to have high end - LOL we've done clubs in WI. *wink* and New Orleans. But we do like clean so from your reviews we can rule some out.

Ok, I'll bite. Are you Alessandra or Pandora? I see you are in Indy area. We have been thinking of getting to that area - perhaps over Labor Day weekend. Smoke bothers us. Which of the Indy clubs would be the best bet for a good time AND not dying of smoke inhalation while there? LOL

Stiletto - We are with you on this one. It's hard to tell what he wants. Could be he is just looking for a connection, something to make him feel that you trust/like him more than your other customers if you will open up to him. Could be, like me, that he is gathering some info for another purpose (I am writing erotic fiction but I am always upfront about with the dancer about why I am asking something before she answers) or who the heck knows. Given your line of work and all the weirdos out there, I would not tell him anything too personal! The hours you work leave you more vulnerable than a woman working 9-5 and it only takes one jerk to be sorry. We do, as a couple, like chatting with the entertainer beforehand. We don't, however, mention our six kids or want to hear about the dancers. For one reason, I prefer to tell myself the reason you all look so damn good is that you did not have kids! LOL

Tipping Bouncers for VIP and Champagne Room Visits?
Rickdugan - I would not even be asking if the amount was $20 but to be told $50 was not enough was beyond unbelievable to me. I agree $20 is fair but, come on, $100 for 30 min? And that was just one Champagne Room. Sounds to me like the bouncer thinks he should earn like a dancer and doesn't work for it.

Tipping Bouncers for VIP and Champagne Room Visits?
The dancer in question warned me about the bouncer on duty and that he would try to get more tip. She felt it was ridiculous they expected a tip at all but she also warned us if we did not he would poke his head in every five minutes. I appreciated the heads up but hate the idea of having to tip him at all. In general, she bitches about the bouncers and how much $$ she has to pay them at the end of every shift so we are pretty sure she was not part of any shake down and was just trying to make sure we got what we wanted out of the experience. In fact, I know this because it was our first time and we really did not know what to expect or what we wanted and she was very worried after that we were disappointed. (we were not as we went in with no preconceived notions) OTC with one of our favs is not an option as she commented once that she told the new girls the best way to get regulars who ask for you is to never do OTC. We weren't leaning toward OTC with her but that made very clear her thoughts on the matter.

    LICK IT OR NOT ??
Thanks for asking this question. We had a similar opportunity and took a pass because we did not really know if the entertainer had a busy night before we got there or not. (We arrived after midnight.) It is easy to appear fresh - afterall, these women have to do it several times a night. In fact, our fav told us that if she does VIP and is gone for longer than 10 min after finishing she had to have a complete redo of everything so that she looked and felt good enough to come back out on the floor. There's not much as unappealing as a dancer who is still sweaty from the last dance or VIP. It impacts the illusion that they are selling so most of the good ones avoid appearing anything less than daisy-fresh.

Tipping Bouncers for VIP and Champagne Room Visits?
One more thing I forgot to ad, at the club in question the bouncers don't even want to show you to the rooms (which is the procedure there) unless you tip them. When we tipped the $50 our dancer told us was expected, the bouncer complained that "it was usually $100 for 30 min" and that he "would close that curtain real nice and tight and leave it closed." My response was that we were not going to be doing anything in there he could not open the curtain to peek and not to pay the extra $50 but my husband did not want to have a potential problem with the bouncer for either us or our dancer so he went ahead and paid the other $50. As it was, the bouncer did not open the curtain but did walk by twice during the 30 min and interrupt with "everything ok in there? need anything?" This was in addition to the waitress who came by twice to see if we needed drinks. It was our first champagne room visit but all of the interruptions made it hard for me to relax. If it had not been for the interruptions it would have been great because we had a very willing high mileage entertainer with whom we were very comfortable because of previous interactions.

    Dancer talk.
Agrees with Book Guy. If she is not intelligent enough to carry on a conversation for at least a couple of minutes with us it is highly unlikely that we will be going back for private dances. That being said, once in the back for the private dances, we really don't want to carry ona conversation, per se. A moan, MMMMMM, or instructions on where she wants touched are all good as are comments about what she likes about us or we like about her but otherwise we prefer to leave the chit chat for before and after.

Worst we have ever had was the stripper in WI who told us about how she got shit-faced drunk the weekend before and woke up with her head in her two-year-old son's potty chair. Ugh! Aint that sexy!

    RACE AND LAP DANCES
As the female in a couple I have observed a couple of things: 1) Dancers are very quick to make a determination on one or two loos as to whether they think you will be a good tipper. It is usually difficult to change that initial perception in one visit. 2) Tipping at the stage varies greatly depending on location. In the Chicagoland area, we have tipped at the stage at all clubs. In some it got us instant and constant attention. In others it did not make a difference. 3) When a woman is at the stage and receiving dancer attention, the tips increase from the male patrons regardless of ethnicity. (The exception was a couple of Japanese men who sat there all night and never tipped. They were also ignored by the dancers all night and finally asked to move by a bouncer.) 4) We have had multiple dancers in multiple locatins tell us that women were better tippers in general. Maybe because we know how hard it is to subject yourself to criticism when naked????? 5) As a general rule, the way someone was dressed WAS indicative of how freeling they tipped. In every club we were in, regardless of race, a male dressed in sweat pants, shorts or sloppy apparel did not tip frequently or well. In addition, they were the least likely to get private dances. 6) When a client was well-dressed, we observed no difference in how well they tipped or how frequently. It seemed pretty similar to us. Nor did we notice any difference in how much attention they garnered from the entertainers based on race. 7) When we first visited a club, we thought that some customers (in our case African American ones because we were on the south side of Chicago) received MORE attention from the dancers even when we did not see tipping. After a few visits, however, we realised they were receiving attention because they were REGULARS. Big difference. 8) I have seen Caucasian, African American and Latino customers all be kicked out of a strip club for inappropriate behavior or causing problems. (never oriental but that could be simply that there have been almost no orientals in the place we visited.) Perhaps some dancers make a snap assessment based on race. Perhaps some make a snap assessment because we are a couple. I am sure customers make snap judgements about dancers all the time. My question is: why is race what we are talking about? Why is the assumption made that is was race that caused a certain action? Perhaps there were other factors in play.

Spectacular article by an anon dancer...
LOL. I have to laugh because not long ago we posted a question thread about tipping on this site. Honestly, the majority of the answers we received shocked me. Seems that, at least the ones who responded to our thread, the majority on here tip pretty shitty or else we just are too nice. For instance, last night we visited our favorite club because it was Porn Star Weekend and we wanted to see Alexis Texas. (exceptionally hot woman, btw, with a great attitude and very nice stage show) Our favorite entertainer was not present so we were having a nice time with our newest "friend." We had just agreed to go back for some private dances because they were 2/$50 instead of the normal $30 each. We got back into the room where the bouncer told our dancer she was not allowed to begin any dances because the star was about to take the stage and the agreement with her was no one would be in the private rooms while she performed. So we went back up front, enjoyed her show and tipped at the stage. After the show, our dancer was up in the rotation and went to do her time on stage. When she left, we all were under the understanding that when she returned we would resume our original plan of getting the private dances. In the meantime, my husband's pager went off and there was a network problem that needed his immediate attention. He went to the car to call in and let them know he was aware of the issue and would be looking at it in approximately 15 minutes while I waited for the stripper to come back from freshening up after her dance. I explained what happened and then tipped her $40. She spent the majority of her evening with us and we also bought her 3-4 drinks and some cheese sticks. (Yeah, wife was hungry and we believe it is rude to eat in front of someone and not offer.) That is why dancers tell us we are "their favorite couple", why they come by to talk to us even when we are sitting with another dancer and why they seek us out when there are specials. We also ask, "do you have any rules?" whem we go back for the first time and make sure to tell them any that we also have. (Mainly that we have a code word and if she hears one of us use it she needs to stop what she is doing because of us feels uncomfortable or has a problem) I laugh at the article because I am sure that those who do not tip strippers well probably don't tip anyone well. I bet most of them don't tip the person who cuts their hair or give monetary gifts at Christmas to the person who does their lawnwork or even a card to their mailcarrier. Mrs m00tpoint

    More SS Or................................??
Troop - wise comment: I am sure you are right when you say that not even the stripper usually has an absolute answer a lot of the time. Not that this is exclusive to strippers or even women (although they do seem to be more prone) either. And, who the hell wants to go back and be 20? Sure as hell not me. I get more sex, better sex and am a lot happier with myself at 48 than I ever was at 20!

What Kind of Car do you Drive to the Club ?
We have two Lexus (one SC and one LS) and that is all we have ever taken to the clubs. Usually we take the SC because that is what we prefer to drive when it is just the two of us but we have taken both. We have never had any issues. Usually, we use valet parking and tip the valet well. Of course, use the valet key.

Who gives the best dances - and why?
I notice you don't mention the race of the client as a factor in the equasion either. Some of the clubs we have been to have certainly been "racially preference biased" if that term makes sense. In one club we were totally snubbed as was another Caucasian couple. Don't know if it was the couple thing or the caucasian thing because the four of us were the only ones of both. In our case, the best dance we have ever had (on multiple occasions) was from a caucasian dancer. No contest with the African American, Latina and Polish dancers we have sampled.
