Didn't read every last comment, so apologies if this is a re-run. As has been said before, $10 per is a good entry price, so I am much more apt to gamble that it might suck.
But here's the additional thing for me that's advantageous to the dancer: if she's good, the little head starts doing the thinking and I'll get more than one (in a row) from her.

Admittedly, what I saw was at Pink Pony and the bouncers have their sticks shoved WAY up there. Plus it's official corporate policy that the Pony bouncers are there to ensure that the minimum amount of fun is had by the clientele.

I have to laugh at Lone_Wolf's use of the word "tactful". As subjective as that word is in the real world, it's even moreso here. Some of the guys on this board probably think they're being tactful as long as their dick isn't out of their pants when they say, "hey, baby, wanna fuck?"

Actually, PC, you give the perfect example of why I was asking. When you go to a dealership, after you've said "I want to buy this car" and they've sat you down in the little office, they start trying to sell you extras. Granted, you're not totally committed to buying the car, but you're more than halfway there.

An NFL Hall of Fame QB (who shall remain nameless) lives in another state but travels to Atlanta on business now and then. When my ATATF was still dancing (she retired at the old fart age of 23), said QB would always go to her club when in town.
One night, he and I were both there at the same time. We were both at the tip rail watching her dance. She's a very bubbly and friendly sort, and so she introduced us. He said "hi" but never took his eyes off her ass. I gained a lot of respect for him that day.
A month later, Ron "Tater Salad" White came in the club. ATATF spent evening with his road manager; Tater took twins back into VIP.

The key word in that sentence is "younger". More than likely, by their thinking, if they're gonna lay out $20 at one time, they'd better get some stick shifting or a stevie or something. They don't realize yet that there are multiple ways to enjoy a beautiful woman, any of which are worthy of compensation.
Transfer this from SC to sex, and these kids probably don't even know what foreplay is.

Time to drag out my "make it rain" story again. ;-) I only made it rain (or drizzle, by sonic's definition) twice -- same dancer (my ATF at the time) on the same night. And as others have suggested, it was all just to draw attention. But the attention that we wanted to draw was of my ATF's rival, who was both a ROB and a plain ol' bitch, too.
Usually when my ATF danced, I'd give her 15-20 singles over the course of the set -- usually 3-4 singles at a time, spread out throughout the set. Instead, with my ATF's prior blessing, I just made it drizzle with all 20 singles at once. She even made sure that I did it when the ROB was watching (since the ROB was out of my line of sight).

LOL !! Every dancer that I've talked to for more than 10 minutes complains that the DJ couldn't match music to a dancer if his life depended on it. Even if they hand him a specific mix CD for their set, he can't manage to get it in the CD player.
Besides, all music sounds the same at 3000 dB.

If I had a dollar for every time a dancer's name was called while she was in VIP with me, I'd be able to buy a club.

Apparently I attract dancers with simple tastes (at least in food). I always give them the option of where and the first one wanted Cracker Barrel. Her roommate thought she was nuts, but even when I took *her* out a month later, our total tab was maybe $60, including wine. Third one wanted El Generico tex-mex.
