Has anyone ever seen them at sc's? I'm talking movie stars, music/rock stars etc? I have seen Lemmy from Motorhead propping up the bar in Stringfellows but dunno if that counts.
I've only seen a couple locall-team pro football players. I'v been told various baseball players go to certain clubs alsok, but I've never seen them. I've seen a few porn celebreties: Ashlyn Gere, Dacha, Misty Rain.
while he was with the Bulls, saw Dennis Rodman at Camelot it DC. Kept to himself. Lots of Redskins used to go in there. Girls said that they, and most ahtletes, were generally poor tippers.
I forget which club it was in FL in the 90s, but saw Morris Day...
Funny you mention Stringfellows since it was just in the news the other week with the Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest visit (with pictures). 10pm to 3:30am -- I think Seacrest later said he spent too much on lap dances.
Saw pro golfer VJ Singh last summer at Brad's Brass in Indy on a Sunday night. I was surprised as I thought he was still on the tour. Got home and checked up on ESPN. He was the top money winner last summer and then hurt his shoulder the day before Brad's. He was stated to be out for the remainder of the year.
It was interesting that night because VJ brought his brothers, who were dressed in traditional Sik hedress (i.e. they were wearing turbins while VJ had on a baseball hat.) A dancer I had said of them when they came in, "Aren't they the guys who blew us up?" Later, she was on stage and VJ walked over to tip her with his brother. She got mad and told them to get back. Several DJ announcements then followed about "Pro golfer VJ Singh is in the house!"
But the best was the girls were told to go dance for the Singh party, as they had been ignoring them to that point. Several of VJ's brothers are quite heavy, providing the interesting sight of strippers rubbing up against, well, body fat.
Also saw who I believe to have been Chris Lytle outside Brad's on his cell discussing his recent matches. Why is this noteworthy? Because if you saw last weekend's UFC on Spike TV, Chris had a pretty good fight against Kevin Burns. In my brief moment of passing Chris, it was funny because he was telling someone the reason for difficulty of late (then) was a habit he had. I've got a friend into UFC and I felt like calling him right then to give him the inside word on Chris. But that was last summer at Brad's.
I did not see it but have been told by several of the veteran dancers that Britney Spears and entourage visited to Columbia Platinum Plus several years ago while doing a concert in town.
Generally speaking dancers do not like celebrities. The are not big spenders. They get all the pussy they want for free.
At PTs Sauget, saw John Goodman the actor--really nice guy. Also saw
Wayne Gretzky with wife Janet Jones, back when Gretzky played for the STL Blues. They were talking with dancers intently--I had the feeling the dancer(s) were "interviewing" for OTC action later.
Gretzky played for the Blues? Somehow I don't remember that...Oilers, Kings, Rangers. Maybe he was on the opposing team playing the Blues?
Pauly Shore gets around. Saw him at Delilah's Den in Atlantic City 10-12 years ago. He kind of plopped down in the lap dance area at that time which was out in the open. No one asked him to move or bothered him.
I've seen porn star Gina Lynn hanging at Delilah's in Philly. She was with 4-5 guys. With that rack and platinum blond hair she stands out.
I've seen athlete types and ESPN personalities around some clubs, but nothing special. Probably celeb types near LA, but I'm not focused on the peanut gallery. Ray Lewis stepped on my foot at Penthouse in DC years ago, right before a certain incident in Atlanta.
I've seen a number of porn stars in strip clubs as feature entertainers. I wouldn't have known it though if they were just sitting in the club because I never saw them before. All but one or two. I believe I like the playboy playmates that appeared in strip clubs as feature entertainers a lot better. At least I didn't have to worry as much about them going all wild.
Never have, but when a friend of mine and I went to the Deja Vu in Minneapolis, he told me he saw former NBA player (and Duke great) Cherokee Parks in the men's room.
To 59-
Gretzky played for the Blues in 1996. I remember it happening, but I had to look up the year.
I was told the only time I ever went to Brad's Brass Flamingo in Indy that members of the Colts were there that day, but I wouldn't have known who they were, or probably cared. I have also been told that various members of various Kansas Jayhawk teams love going to the Out House just east of Lawrence.
At Shotgun Geniez in Hamburg, IA, legendary Nebraska football player Dean Steinkuhler was there once when I was there. The dancer I was with was dumb and told me he was the dad of one of the current Huskers, which was true then, except that she told me which one and she acted like a typical Missouri Tiger fan. Anyway, people seemed to know who he was.
In the early 80's I spent an afternoon at the old Sugar's Deja Vu in Houston. Most of the dancers were crawling all over a scruffy looking bunch of guys. It turned out they were ZZ TOP.
I've seen a basketball player that had a good time partying with his friends, buying drinks and tipping a lot. Same with a football player. Some celebrity that I didn't recognize came into a club once and they immediately took him and his small group to a private room beyond the stage with about 6 of the dancers (including the one I wanted). The room wasn't really hidden - you could see in it - it was just private in that no one else could go there. Saw champagne but no one was spending money on the girls back there and a few of the girls eventually looked bored at having to sit there with those guys. (Obviously management made them keep the guys company). Both of these instances were at LaRoice, a majority black club.
Other than that, heard Eddie Griffin was at PP a few days before I was there. They said he kind of sat there with a flock of dancers around but didn't really spend much money.
Evidence that years of strip clubbing and drinking may not be a good thing:
Apparently I stepped on Ray Lewis' foot at the bar. Was reminded after I brought it up yesterday for a quick laugh. Good thing HE took it in stride, huh?
I sat next to David Spade at Bourbon Street Circus in Phoenix in May. He was with a wingman, and got a few dances, but spent most of his time on his blackberry. Other dancers said he comes in regularly, but doesn't spend much (for a celebrity), and always trys to get dancers to leave with him.
Also saw Mike Tyson at the HiLiter in Phoenix a few years ago. It was dayshift and he was alone, but the midnight blue Rolls Royce parked outside kinda gave him away.
He spent over $81,000 that night but then expected to get it all back because after he threw up thousands of dollars up in the air on stage he claimed he was just doing it for a visual effect and got angry that the dancers were picking it up.
syg- Yes, I recall Carl Eller as 1 of the "Purple People Eaters". In PF-HOF, as is another fellow defensive lineman, Alan Page. Their post football career took different twists- CE had a scuffle with the law fairly recently, AP became a judge! I wonder if he's been in a stripclub.
I happened to be in my fave dive club when the little guy who played "Mini Me" wandered in with his entourage, drunker than shit. He attempted to stand up on the table (which brought him to eye level with everyone else) and fell off. Made quite a scene.
He was bounced after that. Bouncer picked him up like a baby and tossed him out. Too funny.
I have seen Kid Rock he left with some on the house carry out. Sean Penn and Madonna way back when they were together. Back Street Boys. John Cusack. Lots of athletes. The dancers tell me that baseball players spend the most. Football and basketball players expect everything for free. I know of one hockey player who spent over 100k on a dancer during the time his wife was pregnant and dropped her like a hot potato as soon as his wife delivered the baby. The wrestler know as the Undertaker he was the largest person I have ever seen. I would guess 6'7" 280 - 300 lbs of solid mussel. Steroids?
The only reason I knew any of these people were in the club is that some dancer pointed them out to me. Usually my attention is elsewhere.
I am a retired dancer from nj and i would get a paid hotel room, plus my pay 2 work at T & A's in Monsey, NY state....and Leonard Taylor of NY Giants n Crack smoker fame would come in kinda often n i heard on Howard Stern n other media what a douche bag he was lol the girls all flocked around him n gave him the attention he was seeking, but i was not a greedy dancer n i picked or refused private dance offers depending on what i thought of the guy....so, LT wanted what He couldn't have n it was fun crushing his inflated ego! I had fun w my career n talent n ability 2 make an average Joe have a fun, n both mentally and sexually stimulate him, while I kept it clean w no touching....I was raking in an avg of $1,000/shift w out compromising my principles...and $1,000/shift was more than enough $ 2 have a comfortable living in the 1990s,
I also saw Dennis Rodman around 2007 or so (he was already retired from the NBA) at Baby Dolls Dallas.
He was sitting talking to a platinum blonde dancer – she was fully dressed and they were sitting in individual chairs next to each other. Rodman was very quiet and pretty much just sat there while the dancer seemed to be doing much of the talking. There were two older white dudes in business suits by him that seemed like business manager types. He seemed to be in the club for only a short time b/c I did not see him after I first noticed him.

I’ve heard the same thing from dancers w.r.t. celebrities not being big spenders.

An NFL Hall of Fame QB (who shall remain nameless) lives in another state but travels to Atlanta on business now and then. When my ATATF was still dancing (she retired at the old fart age of 23), said QB would always go to her club when in town.
One night, he and I were both there at the same time. We were both at the tip rail watching her dance. She's a very bubbly and friendly sort, and so she introduced us. He said "hi" but never took his eyes off her ass. I gained a lot of respect for him that day.
A month later, Ron "Tater Salad" White came in the club. ATATF spent evening with his road manager; Tater took twins back into VIP.
