Fatties
I do believe I've seen an increase in fat percentage in the average dancer, but I don't think there's been a massive influx of fatties into the stripper populace (unless you want to include the Furnace in B'ham). Maybe that the golden age of strip clubs are over except for a few pockets in the country. I think there's a number of external pressures in effect here: 1. Companies just aren't spending $$$ in clubs like they used to or fewer companies are doing this. 2. Local governments are cracking down on clubs or are passing excessively strict legislation. 3. Women aren't making the money they used to...so recruitment is down. Damn depressing. I think I'll down a couple of ice cream sandwiches to ease the pain.

are you honest with your ATF?
Sure you COULD tell the truth...but a lie makes for a much more interesting future board. I say go all out! You are in fact a secret agent...you're ex wife is ex-KGB, and you cannot divulge her identity for her protection. You were also the bass guitarist for Scorpion (like she would know). Unfortunately, your old man (the oil tycoon) didn't believe in your music career and cut you off. Oh yeah, you're Batman!

Personally I don't agree with prostitution (where it's illegal) or drug use. Maybe there should be a criminal background check. If that's what it takes to keep clubs open then fine. But I think that anyone on the "review panel" must have "stripper" or "strip club employee/owner" in the work experience section of her/his resume.

What's the most unusual ...
The Taj Mahal in Marietta, GA (R.I.P.) had an outdoor pool and fountain that dancers paraded around. Both the girls and customers (I believe) could swim there. I thought that was a truly novel idea, but I believe there are other clubs that have this.

Do You Dance?
I used to dance when I was younger. I'll actually dance now, but I do it so infrequently that it kinda feels awkward. My own "dance experience" has nothing to do with how I relate to strippers. Now I have seen a club site where customers could actually dance with a stripper. If I ever found myself in that situation I'm sure it would matter.

Physical forms of expression: hugs, kisses, pat on the back, pat on the ass, etc. Any one of these things has little political merit and yet are valid forms of expression. Just the context and timing of these actions can communicate quite a bit of information. I do believe some of them could be considered illegal in certain parts of the world if performed publicly. Dances are of course subjective and very open to interpretation. I've had dances from girls that were just a physical service performed for a fee -- comparable to getting a haircut or an operation. However, if the dancer chooses to make a dance personal, she can communicate quite a bit of information through eye contact, facial expression, touch, pressure, etc. Was the information conveyed of great importance? It felt important to me, but wouldn't mean jack squat to anyone else. Now, should the government really concern itself with the difference between the two? Hmmmm, a law against impersonal and boring dances...it might be a good thing...

A lap dance, just like any dance, can be construed as a means of expression. How have the lessons of "Footloose" and "Breakin' I & II" been so quickly forgotten?

Would you consider a club that overpriced dances a scam??
The only time I've ever felt scammed involved using a credit card for VIP dances. It seemed like a whole team of employees were required to execute the transaction. Why in hell should anyone expect a tip for running a credit card? Having waited tables in a previous life, I know how hard waiters work so I have no problem tipping...when they deserve it! If a club makes it a priority to get guys into VIP's, wouldn't it make sense to make a credit card transaction as painless as possible?

College student strippers: Myth or Reality?
The conversations that I've had with favs who happened to be students were all too mundane to be imagined. One of the most beautiful girls I ever met was a Cheetah girl who was a Physics major. Who in the world would lie about that? Besides the hot Co-ed fantasy, I've grown to appreciate the fact that there are intelligent women in the world who choose to do this rather than the stereotypical victim of society who seemingly had no other reasonable alternative.

College student strippers: Myth or Reality?
There are quite a few dancers at the Cheetah (Atlanta, GA) that are college students. GA Tech is literally right around the corner along with plenty of other schools in the surrounding area. I would dare say the ratio is maybe 40:60 students to non-students. Of course I tend to be attracted to the younger dancers so maybe my observations are a little skewed. Even if I'm a little off, the Cheetah seems to be the exception. I can't say I've met very many students at the other clubs I've visited. Although academic status doesn't always come up in conversation, the general impression I have is that most dancers really aren't all that ambitious.

So what's the real purpose of "making it rain" on a dancer??
I saw a guy do it the other night. It impressed no one. First of all the guy was doing it with singles (wow...ten dollars!). Secondly, he just didn't look the part. There simply wasn't enough crackers for all that cheese. Although it was a really slow night and I did appreciate the chuckle.

Seeing someone you know...
It's happened to me 3 times. On my only visit to Mons Venus a man that looked just like an old friend of the family was on a couch next to me. Being relatively new to clubs this freaked me out. I started having paranoid fanatasies about this guy mentioning it to my Mom, failing to realize at the time that he would have to explain what he was doing there himself. What can I say, I was young, and well, just as dumb as I am now. The other time was at a Platinum Plus. I wasn't particularly thrilled to see this dude since he was such a tool growing up. On the upside, he didn't age well and appeared to have gained about 100 lbs...and yet he still maintained his "toolness" from childhood. What a dick.

Strip Club "dos" and "don'ts"
Do: Enjoy your time with a dancer Don't: Expect it to turn into anything Do: Dress in slacks. Don't: Dress in jeans if you're going to get friction dances. Keep keys, pens, etc. to a minimum. Do: Bring a predetermined amount of cash for VIP's Don't: Charge for the "house bucks" -- the surcharges and tips can be insane.

BI or not?
I got a memorable dance from a cute brunette in KY. She was kinda into the whole goth thing, but was really interesting to talk to. Well anyway, she was giving me a couch dance, and I noticed she kept looking at another girl lapping across the room...my goth gal really seemed into her which seemed to translate into a very enthusiastic dance for me. Maybe I was only seeing what I wanted to see, but I'm gonna stick to my hot, aroused lesbian theory.

SC Cities vs NBA Playoff Results- Any Correlation.
I guess we'll have to rethink the adage "Defense Wins Championships". Maybe this line of thought will eventually result team owners harassing city officials for tax increases to subsidize new, improved strip clubs. Hmmm, that might actually get my typically apathetic ass to the polls!

To share strip club/stripper information or not?
I think it's counter-productive to give out really explicit details about a good dancer. The last thing I'd ever want to do is get her in trouble regardless of how remote the chances may be. If a dancer happens to go the extra mile, the least I could do is keep it between us. On the other hand, I do try to give good reviews to clubs that I want to do well. Of course, the actual effect of a good but tame review is probably negigible -- the negative reviews probably have a greater impact than the positive ones.

TUSCL's Idea of a Good Review
Disclaimer: No...I don't think I'm the greatest reviewer ever, and I'm not slamming anyone who does the legwork to maintain their membership without paying. I'm lazy, I don't live in a town with a strip club, and $5 isn't a huge hardship for me. However, I don't think it's a stretch to think that a guy would type in a short blurb just to check the site out.

Can't you get a VIP membership by simply posting a review? If that's true, I wonder what percentage of the membership is made of folks who just wanted in by submitting a simple, thoughtless review. Is this policy ruining the substance of the reviews, and is the site really gaining that much from them?

I've been solicited twice...and if I'm not mistaken, both clubs have been shut down (go figure). I never took them up on it, but I often wonder what might have happened? RIP Gold Club. I barely knew ya.
