Sorry SJG...but that is one of the dumbest ideas that I've ever seen here. And I'm not basing that on the fact that I have no use for condoms. It's just a ridiculous idea. But you keep at it. I'm sure that eventually you'll hit on something worthwhile.....given enough time.

1. I get ignored more often than I get approached
2. the neighborhood is really bad, even during daytime
3. there is forced valet parking
4. the stage is empty too much

We are talking about buying ladies drinks at nude clubs - there is no booze involved. I doubt that many of us would have too much of an issue buying the lady a cocktail, but its not an option.
I was at a well known Orange County dirty club yesterday that has a brutal drink hustle. The dancer had only parked her cute ass in the seat next to me for a second and the waitress was on me. Turns out that unless you specify that you'd like to buy her a small ladies drink ($10), you'll get charged for a large ($20). Fucking obscene.

@Papi - I do have some ready-to-go excuses for when a dancer comes over to me and plops herself down at my table. But to have a dancer decide to approach me and sit with me ringside took me totally by surprise. I think that I was more in shock and by the time I composed myself she was already getting very comfy in the seat. In hindsight I guess I can't complain too much.....she was very pretty, easy to talk to, and she wound up saving me a lot of money. Unfortunately some of the dancers who were onstage during all of this did not seemed too pleased about sharing their stagetime with a fellow dancer sitting right there for such a long period of time.

Like Papi I used to never approach them. I figured that them approaching us was a big part of the fantasy. It's amazing to me how widespread and how often we are ignored. But I still am not too crazy about approaching them. I found a pseudo compromise by sitting at the rail alot more than I ever used to. That way I can see and talk to her and most of the time the ones that I really like and tip heavily will come over and offer dances. I did get clam-jammed doing that yesterday, tho. I was at a well known HM OC club sitting at the rail, happily watching and tipping all of the talent. It was only me and one other PL. I had my eye on a particularly cute Asian dancer when a hot blonde dancer comes over and asks if she could sit with me at the stage. Huh? What could I say? So she sits with me and we start to chat.......she was definitely cute but not really my type. She never hit me up for dances, and I wasn't going to ask her for any so we sat there together for the better part of an hour. Looking back I did save a helluva lot of money by only tipping and not getting any dances from anybody. Lol just when I thought that I had a great new system working for me....

@4got2wipe- I'm not too interested in an actual AMA, but I will address your musings:
First off I've never been made to feel alienated or like a "fish out of water" here on TUSCL. I am here like any other SC monger is, sharing stories and experiences. I've never considered it odd. I've never even thought about it, to be honest.
And I'm not sure what you mean by "men being idiots"? How are they being idiots? With the exception of the rude or fucktard ones, we are all there for the same thing, so we are all pretty much acting the same way. But I generally ignore the other customers just like most of you all do, so I don't involve myself in their behavior nor pay any attention to them. I am rhere to see the dancers, not the customers. And I'd hardly call a SC "hypermasculinized ". With all of the pussy wandering around the club I'd say it was pretty evenly balanced.
And lastly- certain posters fling out homophobic stuff here like an orangutan throws its own feces. Those who do that I have put on ignore ages ago.

I'm as big a mileage hound as the next guy/girl, but just this afternoon I spent a good chunk of cash visiting with a very LM girl at a well known upscale club here in LA. TBH it was a nice change of pace from what I'm used to from clubs in the COI. But I have no intention of making this LM stuff a habit. Just once in a while it's nice to have a gorgeous 19yo on your lap and then having her walk you to the overpriced VIP area for some not-very-naughty fun.

Usually the perks start out hot and heavy before the dancer ultimately becomes complacent and starts taking you for granted, which is usually about the time that both part ways. It seems like you never got the good "honeymoon phase" stuff and have enduring the complacent taking-for-granted stuff thru out. Seems like it's time to try and get her to start behaving like a true CF, or cut bait and hook up with a dancer who at least understands and accepts the process.

@chandler - it was very surreal. Kinda bizarre looking over at the DJ booth and seeing nothing. At least the audio wasn't overly robotic, but it was just as annoying as the real thing. Now there's no person there to bitch about or make fun. About the only good thing that I think came from it was at least now the dancers won't migrate and hang around the DJ booth like they did before.
@rl27- I hope that it doesn't catch on either. But with general PL apathy towards stuff like this in clubs and nobody making too big a big stink about it, I doubt that it will go away any time soon. Plus the club saves the salary of one more fired employee. I sense that if the daytime is successful with it (or at least doesn't lose money for the club), it's only a matter of time before the night shift will have it too. Then every DV will eventually have it eventually. Progress. Pffft.

Very recently at the DVCOI they replaced the daytime DJ with a computer. I was there yesterday for the first time since they made this change. It was kind of comical at first - prerecorded banter with the same stuff repeated over and over again. Turns out the dancers HATE it, and us customers aren't too thrilled with it either. As annoying as the DJ can often be, at least they provide a live real time feel to the club, and can address things in real time. Not so much with the iDJ. And it was also kinda sad when I would occasionally look up at the old DJ booth. To see it was empty was depressing......and I do believe that I saw a few cobwebs forming in his old seat *sniff*

No you are not obligated to tip them for their time. I have this happen alot (I am a solo female monger), but I don't really mind as long as they don't overstay their welcome and clam-jam me. I visit some clubs where the "buy the lady a drink" hustle is relentless, and at those clubs I will but her a beverage and if she stays too long I might ask her for a dance, or excuse myself to go to the restroom and upon returning I will take a seat on the other side of the room. The bottom line is that if they choose to stay of their own accord, you don't owe them a dime.
