She has to be hot, fit and have a great body. Nice sized nipples are a plus. If she's pretty then she gets my attention. I knew a Cake who danced in North Eastern Ohio / North Western Pennsylvania.
Papi, I also met two dancers over the years named Michael, and I thought WTF both times.
Others mentioned Seven, and Justice. So far I haven't met one dancer with those names that wasn't good. Now dancers named Trouble have been a mixed bag, most weren't any trouble, but a few were a lot of trouble of the good kind.
I see a lot of very common names such as Asia, and China. At one times both names were used by Asians, but lately I have met AA dancers. Still a lot of Asians use these two names, with Kim being a close third.
Another common name is India, and mostly are all AA's. I haven't met one Indian dancer named India. Only Indian dancers I ever recall meeting were named. Mia, Cherokee (because when she said Indian the stupid club thought she was Native American), Dakota (for a similar reason), Rayne (again I suspect it was the same reason), Jasmine (because she looked a bit like Jasmine from Aladdin) and Olive (not sure why she chose that one, forgot to ask).
Here are few bad ones I heard over the years.
An Asian dancer, who I assume was Malasian, had the name Malaise, which basically means sick.
Lushus. Wouldn't have been bad, except she was short and had to weigh 180lbs at least.
Opal - Because it's a gemstone, but just sounds like she was born in the 1800's.
Hilda - Yeah she was blonde, wore pigtails and looked like a sexy Valkyrie but the name doesn't fit a strip club.
J - As in the letter, and not Jaye.
Delish - Short for delicious. That just sounds stupid.
Jane. Again why the heck would you have a name that brings up the name "Plain Jane"
Monee - We know you are after our money, but you don't have to advertise it.
Felatio - So far only met one dancer who lived up to her name. None of the rest were worth it.

Now as for so called rule signs. I have seen many over the years and most mean diddly.
One very highly known extras clubs has a sign that says something like:

No drugs allowed

Here are common texts I have gotten over the years
"It's dead here, I am so bored."
"I haven't given a dance all day, you won't believe how horny I am."
"I bought a new outfit, why don't you stop by and see it." For some reason several dancers seemed to think I cared about their outfits.
One dancer at a now unfortunately closed club once texted me.

Now all of those were to get me in the club. Here are two very common "wanna meet up" text chains I have gotten over the years.

Visit enough clubs over the years and you are bound to get free dances, outside of the standard specials.
Each club is different. I have been to clubs where you pay a set fee for going to the lap dance area, and I don't mean the $10 fee like they have at Detroit, There was one club in Cleveland years ago where the club made it's cut in high priced drinks and fees. If I recall it cost you $20 for a one time trip with a single dancer or $40 for multiple trips to the VIP. Dances were usually $20 a song, but I often would often have dancers give me one or two free dances after 3 or four songs.
The most common reason I have found is that she doesn't want to be called on stage next. One of my favorites would often offer whoever she was sitting with 3 for 5 dances whenever she heard her name called to stage.
One of my favorites also would give me specials, such as $150 for a half hour in the main room, which was equivalent to about $225 in dances, and as she said more than she made most half hours.
I have also had dancers ask me to head back for a dance, first one on her, for various reasons such as:
Avoiding a certain customer or customers
Hoping I may turn into one of her regulars.
Only needs one more dance to cover tip out.

Dancer definitely do talk about us. Here are a few times dancers mentioned this to me.

As Ishmael said, it depends on the dancer.
It also depends on the context. One favorite of mine years ago would get into a real make out session with me whenever we did a "champagne room" dance. As others have said, it depends on the club. Most often the "handshake" occurs in extras clubs, but I have occasionally had a dancer get very handsy in a non-extras club. The wierdest would have to be this one club years ago. I was in the back getting a half hour VIP private dance, and they were playing some typical electronica dance music. The times I have done OTC, the price is typically slightly more than her cut of a half hour VIP, and her nightly payout to the club. Where I am, that's around $200 to $300, and often no time limit, but typically one to two hours. With my most recent regular, we would typically meet up three hours before her shift, and she would stay until about 30 minutes before her shift started. As she said the first time we did OTC, "You get to have a great time without the bouncers interfering, and I even after tipout, anything else I make in the club is all mine." At a random club in general, around 75 percent are what I would consider fuckable, which I mean I would not refuse to fuck, if she asked me. The percentage of dancers I would actually desire to fuck is around 25 percent. Then there's the dancer I would got out of my way and spare no expense, that number is around 2 percent.
At clubs I frequent regularly, for longs periods of time, the number of fuckable dancers is over 80 percent. The percentage of dancers I desire to fuck is somewhere over 40 percent. The dancer I would break my spending limits on is still around 2 percent.
The one exception is heavy extras dive bars. Even though the percentage dancers who may fuck you is 100%, typically the percentage who are fuckable is slightly below 40 percent. The number of dancers who I would outright ask is around 15%.

Never understood it either, but I have seen it over the years, although not so much recently. Several I know of where at a clubs with multiple satellite stages.
Cheeks in Dayton, where depending on how many dancers there were, a typical dancer would be on stage or the satellite stages for around 7 songs every forty-five minutes to an hour. I don't recall any dancers at Cheeks not giving private dances, but it would be possible there.
Especially considering one of my favorites was tipped well over $100 in singles while I waited for her set to complete. The dancer who followed right after her, was even more popular.
