You can get a private box for like $80~100 for half an hour and have a pretty hot and heavy dance session. Girls might constantly be trying to upsell you or convince you to buy snacks and flowers from the floor mongers. The clubs love this since they make more money than if the girls go arriba. There is seldom full service in the VIP. Still, it's a skybox VIP dance experience at a fraction of what it would run in a club stateside. Keep in mind that for the same price, you could just get the girl to come to the hotel next door for 30 minutes.

Someone posted a possible tuscl meetup on the 14th. But there has been no follow-up and he hasn't replied to PMs in a few days. I would have preferred the 15th to 17th since the clubs are less crowded. Still, no PM reply or interest from others means no trip. I'm not even sure if it's possible to get a room at Cascadas with such short notice.

I dropped over 3k just the last TJ trip. I try not to think about how much good all my mongering money could have gone towards. All the diseases that money could have cured, children it could have fed. Well, maybe it did help out more than a few single moms.

I can attest that Fri/Sat nights are extremely crowded. This will not favor the TUSCL folks who are trying to apply all the negotiation tactics they've learned on this site. Sunday the 15th might be a better experience. Monday the 16th is a holiday after all. So feel free to sleep in before catching your flight home. If folks are serious about gambling, there are casinos all over TJ. Even if you don't want the full greyhound track experience of Agua Caliente, zona norte is only about a half mile away from numerous branches of the Caliente chain or Pueblo Amigo. A $5 cab ride will get you where you need to go to feed that other addiction. Even if you lose your shirt, you can walk back to the meetup afterwards since it's so close.

Sorry to point out that this will not be the first tuscl meetup in tj. Still, I'm probably down for this shit.

There was a shootout that shutdown downtown Acapulco for almost a week earlier this year. It was not as big of a deal as the last time this happened--a year ago. Guerrero in general is kind of a scary place to visit right now. This is where a bus load of young protesters disappeared because they were on their way to disrupt an event that a mayor's wife would be attending. No one has any clue where those bodies are. On the plus side, Tabares has midget waiters on roller skates. That's something unique to behold. There's lots of grimy places on Mexico City but the selection is not spectacular. More importantly, you need a local to guide you there or there is a distinct possibility that you might not get what you paid for. TJ is the adult tourism destination of Mexico at present. This is true not only for gringo tourists but Mexican nationals as well. Most of the professional talent will spend at least a portion of the year in TJ due to the employment opportunities of the market. You'll find the best selection of girls in TJ, and the prices are often as competitive as other tourist drags due to the availability.

The peso has dropped significantly. I took a trip last weekend to TJ when it was around 18.90 Pesos to the dollar. It got as low as 20.75 to the dollar last night. It currently sits at roughly 19.75 to the dollar, which would mark around a 5% drop in less than a week. Keep in mind that the rate was around 12 something to the dollar before beginning a tremendous slide 2 years ago due to low oil prices. So you can buy a lot of shit when you convert your money to Pesos before buying sexy-times.

I wrote an article yesterday that is currently in review on this very subject. A group of us TUSCLers took a trip last weekend to TJ thinking that the Peso would climb back after the election. Maybe it's time to plan another trip.

I keep pulling for a tuscl meetup in TJ.

Route 992 bus goes from the airport to America Plaza. From luggage check, exit the airport and turn left. Walk down until you see a bus stop. 992 is the only bus that serves the airport. Take it to America Plaza and get on the Blue line. Trolley. America Plaza is the start of the line so it's not possible to get on the wrong direction. Take the blue line trolley to the end on the line, follow the obvious crowds and you'll be at the border. I've never taken a cab from the airport to the border because the $5 day pass is cheap and public transportation is so damned easy. I have taken uber back to the airport once because it was so early coming back that the buses had not started and I didn't want to wait in the dark.

The wifi AP is located in the business center. You can get a signal elsewhere in Cascadas, but it's often unusable.

I'd recommend reading up on Wongy's multiple trip reviews. He's a brother from Michigan and negotiates better prices than me. Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions about a future trip. I myself am looking forward to a return to adult Disneyland. Only thing that may have changed is that they recently opened the west border crossing. I'm not sure when the old Eastern foot crossing will close.

Not gonna stop me from going. I've already got my next TJ trip booked. I've done TJ numerous times in the last year or so, and still haven't pulled the trigger on Detroit. Perhaps for fear of having a trigger pulled on me.

After my second trip to tj last year, I gave brief consideration to the notion of moving to San Diego. The weather is not bad, I could start attending comic-con again, and Hong Kong every other weekend. Shit might kill me.

So long as TJ's doesn't get cleaned up, we'll have a place to meet. I do hope I get to meet wongy in a future Detroit meet before it's too late. Detroit it getting up there, not in years but mileage. Robocop doesn't seem that far off.
