2 drink minimum – can clubs legally enforce this shit ?
I've never bought two drinks at a club, and even at the ones where I have bought one the minimum was actually two. They only pay attention to this at smaller clubs, from what I've noticed. The only time I've even been approached about it was at Foxy Lady in Miami (bought one bottle of water and they left me alone - gave it to a dancer). I don't drink, so best of luck to any person or place who wants me to buy alcohol. I don't make the requisite 350K, but I spend enough in clubs if the talent's alright. I bet if you ask an owner whether they'd rather have the amount I spend or the cash from two drinks, their bottles would stay unopened. If they tack on to the cover, that's fine: I'm used to high cover charges at 'regular' clubs anyway. As others have said above, it's the idea of forcing me to pay for something I have no interest in. Shoot, "make" me buy a lap dance...or give customers the option: say, $30 to get in and you have your choice of two drinks or a lap included.

    Tootsies Cabaret Upstairs
I went upstairs Saturday. Thought it was 20 on top of the regular 10, but it was just the 20. It was cool to me. The thing I really liked about it was that finding a seat was so much easier and I could sit down whenever I wanted. It was also cool that the TVs were closer (and thus easier to see). It's something that one can do without, but it has its advantages.

If you like a particular type of girl, go to Mons. If you like variety, go to 2001. I'm not an extras guy, but the chances thereof have to be better at 2001 since Mons has no privacy (as others have mentioned).

What's the deal with buying the "lady" a drink?
I may, if the service/entertainment warrants, give a girl an extra tip that she can use to buy her own drink. Me buying one for her, though? No haps.

What was your favorite SC experience of 2014?
I hope to have a different answer tomorrow (I'll update if I do), but for now I'll say my trip to Inner Room a couple weeks ago. That one stands out because of the mileage in the beginning and the GFE at the end (that reminds me: I need to see if she's working tomorrow...if so, I may take the long way back). That's the only time I've ever gotten both in the same night. Best 'similar' experience was my friend's bachelor party. I actually stood and watched with another friend of mine with that Hannibal Smith "I love it when a plan comes together" feeling. In a separate category, shout out to Papi for meeting up with me at E11even yesterday.

    Happy Kwanzaa!
A few things... The nation was founded on the principle of taxation without representation (funny now, considering the current status of the nation's capital). Church/state matters were secondary at best. Jesus actually was black: I have yet to see a white person with skin of brass and hair like wool. Kwanzaa is indeed based on African principles, but one of the main tenets of Afrocentrism is its focus on the collective: not the African collective, but the entire collective. Eurocentrism would happen to be the set of ideas with the top-down approach and all. It's kind-of like the "black lives matter" thing: non-black people often respond "all lives matter". Last I checked, black people were part of 'all', so there's that. All that said, I agree that we've gotten way too PC with holiday wishes and all. If someone says "Merry Christmas" and you're not Christian, shut up and take it as positive - or at least conversational - message it was intended to be. Same with Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, or whatever else. One last bit: the racial stuff is nearing SW "I won't dance for so-and-so because" levels...and no matter what race we are, I think we can all agree that we don't want to be anything like them.

    Closing Time
I've never done a dayshift, but I close clubs (or get close to it) most every time I go. The difference in the last hour is that the hustle picks up exponentially as girls try to make their goals or whatever else. They also get more hurried and snippy. If there's a positive, it may be that you're able to benefit from someone's desperation.

    RE: porn stars at SC
King of Diamonds in Miami is pretty good for this. I've heard of a few famous girls basically touring. Pinky even came to Tallahassee once. I think Roxy Reynolds still makes appearances too (I know she did a couple years ago). Famous dancers pull more business, though: when Skrawberry and Tip Drill came to town, you couldn't tell what color the floor was from all the money that was thrown.

At least IME, 2001 girls are more attractive (Mons girls all look the same) and my dances at 2001 have been cheaper than the ones I've gotten at Mons. Music is better at 2001 too. Mons doesn't rate above 2001 in any way to me (and I'm not into extras). Maybe I need to give Mons another chance next time I'm in Tampa...although I honestly doubt I will, as 2001 and Playpen have been very good to me.

    "You have a big dick"
I got this a lot at IR Thursday, almost to the point of wondering whether it was a club standard to drop that line (although the first girl to say it was from Jacksonville). It was weird, as it's never happened to that extent at any club. My first trip to IR had no stick-shifting whatsoever, but this time it was just a hand magnet. Every girl who I got more than one dance from did it continuously, except for one. Oddly enough, that was the girl who gave me her number.

    Football or sports in general
All the time, assuming the club has TVs and all. Last time I went to Tootsies I didn't get past the lobby until after the UFC telecast was over (I looked at girls between rounds and during intermissions). The girls will always be there, so I don't place as much of a priority on them.

Off topic: Unconvential Celebrity You'd Like to Ball
Yes to Tina Fey. Absolutely. Most of my celebrity crushes are newswomen, but the white weather girl who's got all the goods is Al Jazeera America's Nicole Mitchell. Bonnie Schneider is no joke either, although I haven't seen her on HLN too much lately. Athletes that don't have all the spotlight...Tamira Paszek, tennis player. Also, I'm not sure if she fits as an athlete but Misty Copeland is a goddess.

First time I ever went to a SC, Nick Van Exel and Sam Cassell were there (Club Lexx in Miami, 1999). This was back when Lexx had the "Ro" in it and was the black club in Miami. I've seen quite a few at KOD - well, because it's KOD - but I don't recall seeing anyone famous anywhere else.

    Daytime Clubbing
Even with all the advantages of dayshift, I can't bring myself to do it. I just hear that Chris Rock skit in my head whenever I even think about it. Earliest I've ever gone to a SC is right before 8 (first time at Tootsies, wanted to try it for free). Two big reasons I like going at night: 1) I like being able to blend in the crowd so I don't have to get the "wanna dance" every five minutes, and 2) I've grown to like ending my evenings at SCs. A good lap before heading home seems to wrap things up nicely.

Has TUSCL made you more of a SCer ?
Pretty much what everyone else said. The most notable thing (so far) that TUSCL has done for me is introduce me to Inner Room. I decided to try it out on my way home to South Florida once - even though it's a half-hour out of the way - and really enjoyed it. Actually going back when I go home for the holidays next Thursday. I wanted to try the famous Follies when I went to Atlanta, but it wasn't in the cards. I don't put too much credence into the opinion part of reviews - still don't get how anyone can prefer Mons to 2001, for instance - but I find value in the information. TUSCL has made me better by letting me know what to expect in particular clubs.

I'm with the OP on this. That term is awful...but that probably has much to do with where I mostly see it and the context in which it's used. I didn't like PL either at first, but it's grown on me for the same reasons that I've grown to hate the other term (place where it's used, context).

Strip Clubs – An Alternate Universe ?
GACAclub's first statement says it all for me. That was what I first started to like about real SCs. We actually get approached - or even chased (most of the time) - as opposed to having to initiate everything. In general, SCing seems a lot like regular dance clubbing for me. I do both to hear music and dance with women. I feel a little different because the dynamic mentioned earlier, but it's pretty similar.
