I agree that dancer total year income has gone down, but so too that dancer's should not be considering dancing for a long time / life time. I think dancers ought to "take the money and run," while you can at least. I think as one who dances for many years that a dancer's value is declining as she is regularly exposing herself more to bad habits like drinking, smoking and desperate behavior that happens from the psychological effects from "bad" nights. Every day dancers are competing for charitable donations from willing patrons, so that also depends on economic generosity. Times are not very charitable right now, and people do not have a lot of extra money right now just to spend on "entertainment." You have to keep all of this in perspective.

Yes today was very very FUN!!! A few dancers came on to me strong which I really liked. They kept saying how they wanted to do double dances with me ... I danced to a lot of my favorite songs like Loverboy, Van Halen, AC/DC, Foghat and I just acted like my goofy self and at one point I had four guys at my rack and I did'nt know how to all give them a good show. But I made more today than I will make all week at my retail job so i am super grateful and going to pick up a shift this Sunday too. I'm loving the fun and needing more!!! There are UFC parties at Pitiful Princess every so often, and I have tried dancing during one of the parties. The interest in the dancers is minimal. The club managers insist on a lot of dancers being present during the fight, and everyone is outside on the patio watching the fight, no one cares about the dancers inside and their stage rotation. This leads to a lot of disgruntled / angry / drunk dancers. The one night I did it I had to pay for the BBQ myself because even though there were over 50 patrons on the patio watching the fight, no one could have cared less that there happened to be about 12 girls parading around almost naked.

The girls state a certain amount is deserved for back wages but I wonder did these girls even file taxes while they were working at Casa? And if they did or did not, will they file taxes on the settlement earnings? I just ask because strippers are notorious for not accounting for such things.

This is the truth about dancers and even though dancers may feel used and put up with being taken advantage of, they allowed themselves to become dancers and they must go through the actions of the club in their own dancer' shoes. Dancers cannot be given the same equal right or fair treatment that any other law abiding job provides. Dancers through themselves headfirst into sexual harassment nightly and they chose to do this for the money making potential. I wish there was a way that these girls were totally professional, kept written record of every act of unfairness, and could present this in court, however, the nature of the business is likely to throw these girl's accusations right out the window. Yes, dancers do deserve to be treated fairly, but that is such an oxymoron that its an impossible conundrum to expect that. In a day where dancers are basically light prostitutes in the club, how can you expect the government to approve of this illegal behavior???

One stripper told me every day how she made thousands that day. I believe she was lying. She would pull me aside and very boastfully be like "I made $3,500 already today, and yesterday, at my other club, I made $6250!" When I saw that she posted on facebook that she was robbed, I would be lying if I did not feel a smudge of happiness. Of course, she has over 600 friends who already have offered to replace her lost belongings and cash. This particular dancer is KNOWN and written about on these forums for being an extreme dancer who ALWAYS lets men put their fingers up her ass, that is her "gimmick" I am not sure if there are that many men in Portland who would really pay that much for THAT.

Sounds like SS to me. I hate when other dancers spend too long in the dressing room. This is what it really means: she does'nt want to work the floor. She is not going to work the floor until she thinks there is "money" that will be directed at her. She will stay in the dressing room, let the other girls discover that there is'nt any money first before she wastes any of her precious time. Yeah, I am sure she looked great but there is more to it than that. Consider this: the dancer that works the floor less, may be more attractive, but because she works the floor less, she has an attitude of "better than" towards the other dancers. She is better than the other girls, because she will work the floor when she WANTS, not when it happens to be her shift and it is somehow FAIR. Throughout every dancer's shift, she sometimes makes money, and sometimes she is not making money. Well this particular dancer does not want to risk "not making money" while on the floor, she would rather spend that time playing with her phone, texting her boyfriend, etc than discovering potential money. Therefore, if the money is not EASY, she does'nt want it. Therefore I would'nt expect EXTRAS of any sort, but a very nice air dance. IS she really the dancer that you want? Usually these dancers are ROB / prudes to me. Quinn, glad you were able to get some good dances. These are just my thoughts from working in a dive club with dancers just like this. Lastly, the ONLY prep work that is needed: please wash your hands, and cut your fingernails if you want to finger her vagina.

Just because a dancer enjoys your company in the club does not at all equate to her wanting to spend time with you OTC. A lot of girls like to find a customer / friend that they can rely on in the club, for both company and money. I have customers that I talk with for several hours, and I always enjoy our time and talks in the club, but I know that OTC will never EVER happen. My reasons for sitting with them is mostly because of the fact that I do see them as both a friend and potential money. I would rather sit with a friend who is guaranteed to be money than walk the room and turn up empty handed, for example. I am stating this so you know, that just because she invested a lot of time with you, DOES NOT AT ALL mean that she is interested in anything more than your money, and also seeming like, someone is interested in her. Keep in mind several dancers would rather talk to someone than sit alone, just so that while talking with a man they appear to other customers that they are worthy of attention.

What is weird to me, even if she was'nt interested in you, she would still at least take your card and through it away when you were not looking (to appear polite). Why she rejected it outright is unusual, but she probably doesn't do OTC and is tired of being asked. Seems like you caught her in a weird stripper "honest" moment.

People who are really interested in Aphrodites should read the reviews, because the reviews bring up multiple points: 1) Aphrodites is not a normal strip club, there is no bartender of any kind. Patrons show up and are let into the place by the dancer available. 2) Usually there are a very limited number of dancers on staff at these places. For similar type of places in Portland check out the following listings: Pussycats, G Spot, Seductions, Secret Rendevous, and Stilletos. When you read the reviews of these places it is apparent that in the "back room," YMMV but what is guaranteed is the ability to "finish yourself off" implying a manual hand job that the patron performs on himself. BUT, in the best scenario possibility, yes full sex could more easily happen at these types of places then a strip club, but I'm not sure really how often that happens, I think it is less likely honestly. 3) Club website used to keep updated about which girls were available on facebook https://www.facebook.com/aphroditesparty but if you are interested in going now I suggest calling first to see if there are any girls there first. 4) The only thing that is sold at Aphrodites is time with the girls, and the girls will decide what kind of service to give you. If there are a limited number of girls, who are currently occupied, the best bet is to try the strip club about 500 yards away, Lure, or the other "jackshack - lingerie modeling" neighboring business is Pussycats. 5) Don't come to this club expecting a lot of girls, or girls who are willing to spend a lot of time with you just to socialize (as is the norm in many strip clubs). Expect to be hustled from the moment you enter, up until you make payment and leave. Expect to decide what girl you want and how long you want, and prepare yourself to spend a lot, and then afterwards, write a review about your experience. I think this place has potential, I have even considered dancing here, but I do not like how limited it feels. I personally enjoy working in the strip club environment, with multiple women, multiple patrons and multiple activity options. I think I would go bored waiting around for a patron to come once a day or maybe not at all in an entire day. I cannot believe that they are ranked in any top ten way on TUSCL because this club is not even really a real "strip club," as most people consider them to be. This establishment does not sell ANYTHING (no drinks, no food, etc) except private time with the girls. They keep it almost understaffed, with most likely 1 or 2 dancers at a time, maybe up to 3. If you come to the club and one dancer is unavailable, than you must choose the other dancer, and if both are unavailable, you will not even be let into the club. OK, that said, Googlemaps the place and you can see it is really just a house. So the potential to have an experience like say, hanging out with your sexy girlfriend alone, is very strong at this place. If you go, and you like the girl, most girls tend to rush the customer to a decision on what kind of time they want to spend on the girl. If you get lucky, you may reach an agreement with a girl you like, and in that case, who knows. But from the reviews I read, most girls encourage the patrons to get their lapdances and leave, not hang around and try multiple girls out. From TUSCL reviews of Aphrodites: "Both times, the dances were lacking sensuality but I was led to believe that might improve if I were to purchase additional dances. One time I fell for it but the other time I didn't. The time that I fell for it, they did not improve." "The place is a bit different in that you have to ring a doorbell to come in. I speculate that a good percentage of the reviews are Shill (40 percent?) and about 20 percent are positive reviews and the other 40 percent are honest "negative" reviews where the patrons did not necessarily enjoy the experience they wrote about. So with that said, WHY are they in top ten and not any other more popular destination strip clubs in Portland like Stars or Casa Diablo?

Many of the "older" dancers in Portland tell me of days in the late 90's where they barely did any dancing and they still walked away with $5000 / night. These same dancers are still dancing, but they dance in the dives and they tell me how they are ecstatic to leave with almost $300 a shift. Rickdugan is absolutely correct with these figures "I know plenty of dancers who would be happy with $200-300 on a weekday and $500 on a weekend," it seems at least that in Portland there are much fewer dancers leaving the club with more than $400-500. Even for myself, I have danced typically 4 or 5 days a week and I know that I have only made over $400 twice in one entire year. These are all things to consider in regards to dancer income: regional differences, age of dancer, physical appearance of dancer, dancer's attitude towards customers, time that dancer has been dancing, general regional customer assumptions / expectations. Also keep in mind the dancer's relationship with money, money management and time management. As mentioned earlier, some dancers are better with their money than others. So the dancer with bad money management could potentially make more in a night than the dancer with good money management skills, however, it is the dancer who knows how to save the money that will have more to show at the end of the year.
