Maybe say something a little more innocuous and kinda-sorta innocent like "I wish we could do more." It opens up the subject without being blatant or crass about it. Course, it'll probably help if you try to say it when she doesn't have her tongue down your throat.

First thing he needs to do is face up to just why it was she left him. If he's chronically practices polygamy but he's serious about getting into a monogamous relationship -- and can't -- he should probably get some professional help -- and maybe not expect any monogamy until he's done sowing his wild oats, probably into his early 30s. Good luck to your friend.

    Workplace advice
Whodey, it really depends -- just how much do you like your job? If you honestly believe the three of you are mature enough to keep work and the club life separate, go for it. If you have the slightest inkling that someone's going to get a case of the giggles or, worse yet, try to give you a strip club handshake at work (or even just on the property), passing would be a good idea. Nothing like some outsider trying to start up harassment or hostile work environment complaints if any of the innuendo gets out of hand.

    OTC Question No 1
You showed her your business card? I don't know how often you've frequented that club or how many times you might've seen her there before, but...oy. Since you mentioned that you're going to be out of town for the next couple weeks, it sounds like she's pretty much of a local girl. My guesses? 1) Other PLs have pulled out "impressive" business cards on her before. For, what, $25 for a couple hundred cards at FedEx Office, what creep couldn't get cards like that made up? 2) LE has pulled out business cards like that on her or maybe some of her friends before -- and then busted them when it was time to do the deed. 3) She wants to check out your credentials first and will negotiate a price after she verifies you're a lawyer and gets an idea just how much you can actually drop on her.

    becoming a stripper
I agree with Dancer95 on her advice, too. Saving money is a damn good idea. After your first couple months, after you get an idea just what you MIGHT be looking at for an income, start setting some goals for yourself. I knew one dancer in Dallas who owned six rental properties and had (IIRC) a hundred grand in the bank -- and this was after her loser husband drained her accounts and ran off with the money. Another I know is saving her money to buy a B&B in Panama after she retires. Mind you, she's 53 right now and she's only been dancing for 13 years. And I've heard of a couple other dancers who moved on and started their own clubs. Very much agree with everyone's advice to watch the drugs and alcohol, too. I've seen dancers who were so drunk they couldn't even walk straight and had to get sent home. Met a couple others who regularly got drunk so they could get through their shifts; course, they spent so much on the booze that they walked out with hardly any cash. You might want to be careful claiming you're diabetic though to avoid any drinking; a good diabetic would go for water or coffee -- juice, pop, and alcohol would blow your cover (although you might get away with a diet pop). If you aren't into yoga for stretching, there's always tai chi -- a very low-stress, no-impact form of exercise. It probably couldn't hurt to check out a couple of the clubs you're looking at as a customer, see what it's like from the customer's point of view. You might also want to see if they have any amateur contests, not only to get your feet wet but to get an idea what things might be like behind the scenes there.

    OTC Question 2
I agree with GMD -- drama is inevitable. You just have to hope you won't be around to get the brunt of any of it. I have a feeling even if you lay down some ground rules -- i.e., you're no one's one and only boy toy -- the jealous one will still get jealous.

Strippers who resemble girls from your past
One time I spotted a street walker who looked a helluva lot like a girl I went to high school with. When I double-backed to double-check, she had already disappeared. Come to think of it, back in the early '80s, I did spot a stripper who just might've been one of my cousins. Considering she disappeared after her set, I have a sneaking suspicion she was.

    becoming a stripper
Another aspiring dancer posted earlier this month, and the subject of a dancer's mindset came up. It's a job where you definitely need a thick skin and some very solid interpersonal skills. If you can't take criticism, deserved or not, if you can't stand guys trying to hit on and to touch you all night, stripping probably isn't a job for you. Here're the links to those discussions. It's some food for thought. https://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=37118 https://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=37151

Don't forget your punctuation, ATAC. A comma should follow "Tit" (or "Tits," whichever version you opt to go with).

    What is confidence?
Gotta agree with Vikings. There's a major difference between confidence and cockiness -- if a confident guy still gets butterflies approaching a woman for the first time, he's just a normal guy; if he says that he never gets nervous approaching a woman for the first time, he's either lying to himself and to everyone he tells this or he's delusional.

One of my former dentists had a pretty little dental hygienist -- waist-length brown hair, brown eyes, light tan, a tight, athletic little form you might expect from a tennis pro. I was getting lined up with yet another root canal. He took some x-rays and at the end of the appointment, as she was escorting me back to the front desk, she said, "C'mon, let's take a look at your thing." "Isn't that getting a bit personal?" She did a double-take, then shot me a glare that bordered on laughter.

"' if I like a woman more than she likes me; and I do more for her and treat her better and give her more/better attention than she gives me " Damn, that's just what's happened between me and, well, every woman I've ever met. God, I'm such a PL.
