Five years ago I'd have said Lindsey, but she has really gone downhill. Her skin is going bad, the layer of fat that used to make her look voluptuous is starting to sag. Seems like it depends on where the club is located. I agree with others that Detroit area is better now than ever. The only thing marginally worse is that the $10 dance is rare now, limited to certain off-nights. And some are pushing it up to $25. I'll even claim the music and DJs have improved slightly (which is not saying much).

I loved the Combat Zone! I don't know why it would be considered a failure. It was just the kind of area I'm talking about, mixed in with Chinese restaurants, Vietnamese noodle shops, cheap Hong Kong electronics shops, movie theaters, legit theaters, etc. LDK, you're closing in, but Gator is still the champ.

I think it would work best as part of a larger entertainment district that includes restaurants, civilian bars, music venues, hotels, and other attractions. Kind of like Bourbon Street. Maybe somewhere in the Lafayette / St. Antoine area.

In Detroit, it used to be that the "sure thing" clubs like H8 and Bogart's had very public LD areas, and the less sure (but still very likely) "high end" clubs like Flight Club or Landing Strip had more privacy. But I don't think that's true any more. A partitioned area with a heavy curtain is fairly common now.

You could ask "are you a dancer" and leave out the stripper part. That leaves it open as to whether she's a stripper, a Rockette, or in the ballet. If she wants you to know she's a stripper, she'll tell you.

Sadly amusing that even this thread has degenerated. I have very few people on ignore. What I'd like is a button to ignore useless and stupid comments. Most of the trolls have something interesting to say at some point, when they're not bickering.

I'd say false reviews are in the minority, and I don't have too much trouble spotting them. A bigger problem for me is clubs that have very few recent reviews.

I've regretted some individual excursions that didn't go well but am happy with my SC experience and spending. I do wish I'd spent more when I was younger.
