    Strip club entry denied
@ lopaw: I was speaking in general terms. But, I actually did observe that once, here in the Puget Sound Region. At (then) Fox's in Parkland (south of Tacoma), a group of three twenty-ish girls were going into the club. I was a long distance behind them. As I got close to the door, I saw all three come out with disgusted looks on their faces. Since I was the first one they encountered, the told me they had been denied entrance, and specifically asked me if there was a lesbian strip club in the area. I told them I'd never heard of such a thing. I referred them to the next nearest strip club, two miles away. It was run by a different company. I don't know if they went or if so, were admitted.

How were you dressed? Were you drunk, or "behaving badly?" Did you fail a "pat-down" test? If you'll mention which club in L.A. you're referring to, you might get some helpful answers. Otherwise, the responses will be generic. The only case where I've actually seen anyone get denied admission to a strip club is if a woman or group of women were unescorted. The theories being: (A) They're a safety risk because of potentially unruly male customers, or (B) They're prostitutes looking for customers.

When adult business regulations are put into legalese, they can be quite entertaining to read. Somewhat off topic: I remember reading a legal brief years ago where someone was suing someone else for be called an asshole in public. The funny reading was where a legal definition of "asshole" was written to proceed with the charge.

I know of a dancer who used to do (maybe still does) exactly what you're thinking. She would find out in which hotel the players were staying. Book herself a room at the same hotel and then make herself "available" once the players started arriving. I don't think she did this every year, but I had the impression she did it several times.

    Strip clubs getting better anywhere?
Here in Seattle, just five years ago, club-going was a lot better. In June 2008, four clubs all owned by the same company were simultaneously raided. Two years later, all four were forced to close. It hasn't been the same since. Even the clubs that weren't raided, felt the impact and some realized they could do a few little things to make themselves less prone to a raid. Some new clubs have opened since, but they can't offere the mileage that was had in the old days, and are not performing up to their corporate offices' expecations.

Any strip clubs outside Vegas that are lively on Monday nights?
I sympathize with you about Monday nights. There was a period in my life, where my only opportunity for nighttime club-going was on Monday nights. It's usually the slowest night of the week and not a very inspiring time to try out new clubs. I don't have specific clubs to recommend, but I suggest you check the reviews of clubs in the area where you're due to travel, and look carefully at the dancer count in the various reviews. That may help. Also, the later you arrive the better the selection. If you can wait until 10 p.m., that's best. Most clubs close at 2 a.m., and by 10 p.m., most dancers who will work that night will have arrived.

    Spearmint Rhino Coming to Detroit?!?!?!?!
The Rhino's website doesn't mention anything about any new clubs opening soon. See: http://www.spearmintrhino.com/ For those of you in Detroit, you could contact the city to see if any building permits have been issued for that address. It could be just a local contractor, or it could have a name matching one that samsung posted. Also, an e-mail to the USA corporate office that samsung posted might get you an anwer.

Exotic Dancer/Strippers having their bf's visit them at the club
It's only happened to me once that a dancer I knew in a club told me that her new b.f. (of all of a month) was in the club that night. It sure killed the mood for me, and I didn't get any dances with her that night.

Legally Laid? Detroit Council Candidate Pushes For Red Light District
Having worked in city planning, particularly zoning for over twenty years, I have some background in this subject. See my article: "Strip Clubs in Industrial Areas," posted February 23, 2011: https://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=1530 In the article, I mentioned that there are three methods used to regulate the location of strip clubs. The most common is to simply limit their locations to industrial zones, the subject of the article. Another is to assign rigid distance requirements, so that strip clubs and other adult businesses are located a minimum distance (often 500 ft. or more) from schools, churches, parks, residential areas, etc. This often forces strip clubs into industrial zones, as no other location would actually meet the distance requirements. The least used of the three methods, is what this Detroit city council candidate, Atti Pollard, is proposing. Among city planners, his method was known as the "combat zone" theory. This is where all adult businesses are prohibited from a city, except in one, single location. Boston tried this decades ago, maybe in the 1970's. (I haven't looked into this since the 1980's.) I believe it was deemed a dismal failure and was changed after a short period of time. Pollard would do well to read up on Boston's experience before proceeding with the "combat zone" as his campaign platform. The process would also take many years. Strip clubs aren't just going to get up and move to the new combat zone.

    Valentines Day Feb 14th.
A long-time favorite dancer told me that she usually can't work on Valentine's day. She can't go out with her b.f. or a date, either. Valentine's day and New Year's eve are the two most difficult days of the year to get a baby sitter. So, she's usually home on both those days.

    OTC idea.
I just happened to walk into an opportunity like that with a dancer in Las Vegas a several years ago. I noticed her a short amount of time before her shift was over. Got a few dances with her. She sensed I was interested in a lot more dances or VIP time with her. She then told me that her shift was over in a few minutes and she absolutely couldn't stay any longer. (Maybe she'd have to pay an overtime fee.) So, she asked me if I'd care to continue our time together OTC. She said she could give me a better price than at the club. So we did, and she made good on her promise. Now as far as actually planning that, it sounds like a good plan if the know the dancer ahead of time, and her schedule.

Best club in Tampa or Jacksonville for a couple
Jax, I can't recommend clubs to you, but you would do well to PM a well-known customer couple on TUSCL: m00tpoint. They're in Chicago and probably don't know Florida clubs either, but they can give you good advice on club-going as a couple. See their profile at: https://www.tuscl.net/u.php?UID=232689 (Note that their name is spelled with the first two O's as zeros, just as I have it above.)

using the strippers name in the review
If you read founder's "Review Submission Guide," fourth par., last sentence, it requests that you not mention dancers' names. "Just be careful not to mention names if it may get your ATF in trouble." Maybe most of us read that in the beginning and followed founder's wishes since then. See: https://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=602

I was really only tempted once, because I saw a dancer in a local public library wearing stripper shoes. See my May 19, 2011 thread, "Did you ever want to ask a hot girl you saw, "Are you a stripper?" https://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=15559

    What An Ass I Am!
I've had just the opposite happen before. A dancer easily gave away her real name to me, without thinking. (No address, though.) She treated me to dinner for my birthday at a nice Seattle restaurant, with a view of Lake Union. When it came time to pay the bill, she plopped her credit card down where, accidentally, I could easily see her name on it. It hasn't caused her any problems since. I was a six-month regular of hers at the time. I'm now almost a six-YEAR regular of hers.

    Strippers photos
If you'd asked for strippers instead of stripers, maybe you'd get some answers you're seeking. For now, those that respond will likely be the workers that paint street pavement markings.

    Girls with bad business sense
I knew of a similar type of dancer in 2004 at the Blue Zebra in North Hollywood, CA. At the time, the club offered $15. topless dances and $30. nude dances. Most customers went for the topless dances. There was this one dancer who would only do nude dances, and like alkdesmo pointed out, missed out on the customers she would turn away while they went to dancers who would do the topless dances. This dancer didn't seem to understand the concept of "time is money." I guess she prided herself on getting only nude dance customers.

    Groupon for strip clubs?
It appears that the "Deja Vu" that burner mentioned is unrelated to the national Deja Vu Showgirls chain. Just one look at the typeface used on it's sign will indicate that.

    Ass or tits? Or both?
Being a skilled and seasoned boobologist, often I don't even notice a dancer's ass. I do notice legs, second. It seems that I concentrate on the dancer's appearance that can be seen from facing her.
