@ farmerart I agree that to a certain degree the comedic sense of humor up in the great white north is different but if you consider all of the comedians and comedic actors that Canada has contributed it is quite impressive. Take for example the following short list:

My culture didn't have proper rice but we contributed the potato and maize and the tomato and beans and peppers and squash and avocados and peanuts and turkey and chocolate and pecans and the sweet potato and other stuff to tables of the world. (BTW wild rice isn't directly related to the Asian rice which is generally what most people think of when they think "rice")
I'll chow on a venison steak and a side of steamed wild rice though if given a choice in the matter.

I believe that a shit ton is generally the equivalent of 2.5 imperial tons or 5,000 pounds where as a shit load is the equal to the amount of cow shit that will fill a standard sized bed of a full sized American made pickup truck which happens to be 652 pounds (if the manure is fresh) so the difference between a shit ton and a shit load is therefore 4,348 pounds of shit. Which is not to be confused with the phrase "go pound shit" FWIW.
