Boston, in general, is poor in the looks department for a large city. I blame it on the cold weather and ethnic makeup. Also they are pretty conservative in terms of females; that is why sorority houses aren't allowed in most colleges in the state.

Not the greatest players, but I always enjoyed watching the pitchers with odd deliveries (Hideo Nomo, Pat Neshek, Carlos Perez) and batters with exaggerated pre-swing movements (Julio Franco, Gary Sheffield).

He retired before I was born, but given my hipster-like sports inclinations I'll go with Pistol Pete. His scoring average must have been the most impressive for a non big man and died on the court literally.

How big is your wad??? $1K, $10K or just a few Benjamin's wrapped around a silly amount of singles???
A couple of approaches that I've used or witnessed:
- inquire about the owners of the club and what the ballpark asking price would be
- tell the waitress, bouncer or barkeep what type of girl you are looking for and give them a solid finder's fee (a Jackson or more if they do a good job)
- roll with a known whale
- befriend a regular while there
- if it is a smaller club, quickly survey all the girls there and approach what you think looks the best and subtely "interview" her. If she doesn't pass the "interview", move to the next
Dressing differently than the average Joe and proper grooming also help.

I prefer looks to mileage. I find clubs where extras are available to all to not always be the best. I also avoid those who lack a proper command of the English language.
With that taken into consideration, I would order in best to worst of the cities listed by the original message:
- LA: many aspiring models/actresses/pornographers and if they think you are well connected you get "special" treatment
- NY: not quite the quality in looks/mileage of LA but close. Also most expensive city listed.
- Tampa: attracts quality from all over the south and pretty cheap relative to LA/NY
- Miami: similar to Tampa but too many Latinas and more expensive
- SF: too many Asians, not cheap and talent subpar compared to LA/NY
- LV: too many old strippers, easy to get OTC and lots of faux ballers
- Toronto: good looking girls from throughout the country. Cheaper than most of higher ranked US cities
- PHX: minor league version of LA with less mileage
- Baltimore: more expensive than I would've thought, but talent is probably the best in the region
- PDX: cheap but most have too much ink/piercings
- Denver: very few good clubs but a few gems to be found
- Detroit: probably the worst in looks
I have either never been to a club in the others listed or it was so forgettable that I have no value to add. Montreal would be near the top of my list also.

At many higher end places, the top earners have regulars that will get them by. They may ask non-regulars if they show overwhelming interest such as tipping $20+, etc. Otherwise, they will rest on their laurels considering everybody else dead weight.
I don't attend one club enough to be the go to regular and don't always want to be the over eager new guy, so I just approach them. In fact, I generally make the first move as the frequent askers tend to be the less visually attractive or more annoying dancers.

Do people in Philly really have $$$? Always assumed it had a blue collar tint that ate too many artery clogging Tasty Kakes and cheesesteaks. I am sure there are some deep-pocketed bourgeoise, but they probably aren't throwing it down in clubs in cities such as NYC, LA, Miami, Las Vegas, etc.
Also why would out-of-towners want to go to a value joint with sub par looking girls? I always thought if you have the money to travel wouldn't you not mind spending more for better talent.

I think I've been to all except Baby Dolls. I have physically been to Cheetahs, but was there so briefly that I don't really remember anything.
4Play is probably the best in terms of looks and girls willing to shoot the shit and not just focused on "wanna dance". The Rhino in LV is probably the best in getting OTC from a Playboy/Penthouse model quality girl. Mons is the best value in terms of getting dances from good looking girls since they are on fixed payout rather than a % of revenue.
The girls at Bourbon Street, Scarlett's and Sapphires did not really impress me, but perhaps I went on a bad night. Flashdancers and Toosties have too many girls with language issues as I unfortunately do not speak Russian nor Spanish.

Different strokes for different folks. Go to both in one night if need be. If you don't see anything to your fancy at A, go to B. Both offer the free admission with transportation deals.
I prefer the Rhino because I know an insider there.

Why would hot girls work in these places? The food services industry is gross enough to work in and a lot of manual labor. Plus they don't pay that well considering most is coming from tips and these places don't exactly have many high rollers hanging around. I would assume a hot young airhead would much rather have a job at Coach or Hermes.

Tampa girls tend to be better than the average stripper, but not as hot as NYC, LA, SF, Toronto and Montreal. Vegas is the land of past their prime strippers; they might have been hot at one time, but it's basically where strippers from around the world go to die (sometimes literally).

Mons is the most consistent in getting top looking girls. It is a dry club (not BYOB, but re-entry is allowed). All dances are out in the open and almost all girls there will not allow touching the kitty and sucking anything. The highest mileage I have received there is very brief fingering and an over the pants handy. If you got game, you might be able to pick-up one for fun outside.

At Casa Diablo, they explicitly say you need to tip at least $2 per song at the stage. They also won't give you singles only $2 bills.
I have started distancing myself from singles tipping since they are associated with the more "urban" patrons. If I see a girl I like, I'll tip her at least a $5.

The gubernatorial candidate was probably Mary Carey. I saw her once and have to say she hasn't aged too well.
I think most reach pornstars reach their expiration date around their 25th birthday. On the other hand, they truly are some of the best in bed. I am sure those of you who have been lucky enough would agree.

Are you targeting strippers to mug? It might sound like a good idea since they carry cash and it's easy to overpower them, but there's too much security/cameras around clubs.

Strip clubs are too legit for Oakland. The lascivious of the region prefer streetwalkers and massage studios full of trafficked women.
Poorer metro areas tend to have more clubs because the constituents are either too apathetic or in dire need of any commerce to put up much of a fight against them. In more well to do areas, there is great opposition to the proliferation of any sort of adult entertainment (strip clubs, pornography shops, night clubs and even liquor stores). In many of the country's wealthiest suburbs, you need to drive 20 minutes+ just to buy liquor.

I have never been there, but looking at descriptions/reviews I wouldn't go there unless you were in a similar demographic as those characters you saw. It just sounds like a ghetto nightclub with a section with fully clothed "strippers."

In LA they have hostess clubs like that but generally ethnically-centered (mexican ones in downtown and Korean ones in K-town). I would assume there might be something similar in Queens, but you better brush up on your espanol

I think you should not write a review period unless you have some insights to add that have not already been provided by you or another user.
I have only reviewed one club more than once, and it was due to the dancer quality greatly changing.
