I had a similar experience as the OP. I went to the local club and saw a former college classmate of mine dancing. She was floored that I was "into strip clubs." We hung out briefly after that. There was too much shit in her personal life so it ended quickly. This was also before I got seriously into TUSCL. In hindsight I wish I had some how leveraged the situation into being more plugged into my local club. On a different occasion, me and a few friends were doing a rare guys night out to the local club. Unbeknownst to my group, several mutual friends had formed a 2nd guys night out group and we all ended up there at the same time. We were all like: "small world huh?"

Haven't been (yet), but the reviews seem to indicate Kandy's in Waterford PA is pretty female friendly. But I have no first hand experience with mileage there. Mileage is pretty good (IMO) at Filly Corral in Smithton PA. Seen many female customers there, but obviously can't comment on how good the LDs would be for a lady customer. My guess would be YMMV depending on who you pick.

At best, the ratings are only good for comparing within the same metro area, and even then the ratings have their flaws. I find that looking at the total number of review for a club is also an insightful indicator. Also (getting OT), I firmly believe (in generally) that being a regular or not strongly influences both one's option in a club and one's perception of a club. So, regardless of the ratings, you have to 'digest' the reviews and make a judgment call as to what you can expect as a first time visitor.

FarmerArt always made Toronto seem awesome. Tampa area would be interesting too. FWIW, any place that has decent clubs and also something to do during the day would be ideal IMO. I'm often tempted that LA could fit this criteria, but high cost, insane traffic, and the BS that is LAX are enough to deflate that plan.

Papi sums it up nicely. IMO, the ratings can maybe be useful when comparing within a metro area, maybe. But anything beyond that is a fools errand.

At my #1 favorite club, I really wouldn't change anything except to turn the f-ing music down (and some how magically move it closer to me) At my #2 favorite club, I would reduce dance prices from 25 to 20 and/or eliminate the dancer drink bs. I'd also eliminate the 2-for-1's since most people in the know hold out for the discount, and I'd really rather be able to get dancers when I please and not have to f-ing strategize based on when the discounts are offered. I'd allow hand roaming too. At my #3 club, which really doesn't count as a favorite, but it's the easiest commute, I'd allow hand roaming and I'd allow the dancer to mingle on the floor.

1a. "Wanna dance?" - seriously pretty much anything else is better, make a little bit of effort. 1b. "buy me a drink" is a close 2nd, IME, not a good sign when this is the lead off 2. main stage 3a. Friendly, consistent performance, doesn't brink her shit into the show. I go there to get away from my shit not listen to her shit. 3b. doesn't short change you on mileage. By this I mean: don't try to sell me an air dance in a club where full 2-way is the norm. Not saying to 'break the rules' but do keep up with the competition. 4. It's different strokes for different folks. I tend to go for girl next door type, but "not bat shit crazy" maters a lot too. 5. Yes to brains (OT... and facts). I like being able to think you have the capacity to be a functional citizen outside the club scene and not be a depressing lifer.

Great question shadow. First, let me add, a lot of times I don't want to start with LDs/rooms in the first 20 minutes of walking into a club because i just don't want to empty my wallet right out of the gate even if I do like her. IME, 'ask me later' is much better than 'not now' but still like 75% never come back after saying 'ask me later.' Maybe OT but... it's one of the things I truly miss about an ATF/CF situation: I'm highly confident in how to optimize my spending going in, there's probably no need to wait, and if I do want to wait, she know I'm a sure sell so she does come back later.

It varies. The ATF lasted several years. At the peak of it, a visit every 2-3 weeks was the norm. CF-west has been in the game for about 3 years now, but only see her when work take me there. Recent CF-east's have not been lasting long, disappearing without a trace after 3-6 months.

I tend to optimize my strategy by what club I'm at. After finally giving in an getting a smart phone, I tend to leave my phone in the car because it's just in the way. I'm either paranoid it will get damaged/broken by some mishap, or I have to take it out for LDs and paranoid it will get misplaced/stolen. As for CCs, I think it is far more important to not use them. Leaving them home or in car is obviously safer, but probably unnecessary in most cases.
