^^ Well... if OP is doing a crawl up I-95 he should say that, not list off 13 states. I shouldn't but how about I go ahead and narrow this down... You are not missing much with ME, VT, and NH. I'm guessing OP isn't heading to 'up state' NY (not that I'm aware of much reputation there anyway). NYC is insane for many other reasons, and expensive as hell. Providence isn't what it used to be but probably you best bet in NE. Can't really comment on MA or CT. If your debating between Philly vs. NJ side of the line, my guess would be NJ. Although no personal experience there. Just saying because not impressed by PHL options. Also assuming WVa and Western PA aren't on the itinerary. Baltimore has some ok options, but rest of MD, DC, and VA have terrible reputation IMO.

When you are working ~60 hrs a week, and it is a 2.5 hr drive each way to your fav club... your options are pretty much limited to Saturdays and this particular club is not open for a day shift. However, I generally do agree that the non-regulars who turn out Fri/Sat night do tend to interfere with professional mongering.

When I first started clubbing regularly, there seemed to be two distinct sets of dancers at my local club: the full time strippers and those moonlighting as strippers Fri and Sat night. For the most part, the moonlighters who appeared to have a 'regular' lives outside the club Sun thru Thurs seemed very normal to me. Many of my Favs during that time period were moonlighters. I would later to come to find out that most if not all of them actually had pretty f-ed up stuff going on in their lives. So, I lean heavily to "all nuts." Also, FWIW, after the economic collapse the moonlighters seemed to have disappeared, and it's only career strippers out there anymore.

My fav club is about 2.5 hrs away (each way). Only get there 4-6 time per year. A lot of my other clubbing happens when I travel for work (at much greater distances).

"Strippers have people skills out the wazoo" some do (like my xATF), but there are a lot of 'wanna dancer' types that don't. The rest of the OP, while valid, is only one layer of this onion.
