Depends on the guy. Some guys will continue to spend ITC at the same rate, others will save it for OTC. Depending on how you do OTC, OTC will probably get you more cash that you get to keep instead of giving some to the club with ITC. You run risks with OTC, deny it and he may go find another dancer that will. Do OTC and he may get possessive even when in the club and affect your ability to make money from other guys (she's HIS girl rep...). Other thing is if the OTC fades or fails then you most likely have lost him as a customer completely, ITC and OTC. You also have to consider if he is serious about it just being a 'date', do you want that? is he someone you could/would date OTC? that could be a big win or a big mistake too.

I think we all spend way too much. I am like azdd, I can afford it. I used to travel a lot and spend most of my evenings in clubs. Then I spent a couple years not traveling much, my accountant brought to my attention the amount I 'saved', by not traveling and enjoying my favorite entertainment much during that time. I was so grateful of him pointing that out that I went out and paid cash for a high end luxury sports car with my 'savings'.... Now I am back traveling so the strip club economy is about to get a big boost around the country!
Of course, that almost brings tears to my accountant's eyes, she even emailed the link to the website that lists strip clubs that stream video of their main stage and said maybe that would satisfy me and save me money! She just does not understand, I offered to take her with me but she declined!
Maybe I will see some of you during my travels!

A couple years ago, I was in BFE Wisconsin for a week and stopped by a club that was essentially in the middle of a cornfield. It was a nice club but it was deserted. They had like 6-7 dancers but only a couple guys there. The dancers were so bored that on my third night there and I was the only guy in the club, all the dancers took me back the VIP area and took turn giving me lap dances trying to see who got me the most excited. When the night was over and I tried to hand them cash, they all said no since I was such a good sport letting them 'compete' on me. The dancers were not the hottest but it was the hottest time I ever had in a club. I was hoping the repeat the experience the next time but a handful of younger guys showed up and stayed longer than even the dancers wanted since they weren't tipping. I have been trying to get back to that club and see I could repeat that experience ever since!!!

@samsung1 - you need to find the right dancers at Admiral and tip the host well and your experience in VIP will end a lot happier. ;-) Arnies is good for mileage but not your highest end club - just don't go BB or your next stop will be the Doctor...

I LOVE pole work. If the dancer even makes a decent effort, I tip her VERY well on stage.
I will agree that good pole work does not equal a good lap dance. Usually those dancers are either to tired to give a good dance or they are too active with their lap dances.
The best clubs I have been to for pole work have been:
1) Deja Vu in downtown Minneapolis (2 story pole, full nude, 3rd floor has bed dances, but NO alcohol)
2) Little Darlings in Vegas
3) Red Dog Saloon in Oklahoma City
Of course YMMV but I got lucky to see good pole work every time I go to those clubs.
For lap dances, I prefer a dance that does a good booty shake and/or has good ass cheek control. For that, there are couple clubs in ATL that are the best, by far, that I have ever experienced.
Personally, I love a good mix - that makes my night.

You should assume that there are cameras, whether visible or not. Then decide what your comfort level of someone watching you is - or worse, your comfort level of the police watching the video is the club is busted for some infraction. There are numerous examples of clubs, a couple in the Miami area being the ones I remember best, where the club was taping the VIP rooms where sex was obviously happening. The police raided it and got the tapes, then one of the local news outlets used Freedom of Information laws to get access to the tapes.
It is ultimately up to you and your comfort level.

Just say NO! You are asking for trouble having them come to your house. Look around the site some more and you will find endless stories of guys getting robbed in their hotels, just imagine how much worse if they come to your house?
If you must 'try' this, rent a hotel and have a fried or two with you as your own 'protection'.
Sure there is a chance that everything will be fine but do you really want to the risk the safety of your house?

I found more and more clubs are doing similar things - thinning their lineup of girls and telling girls to go home earlier. From my travels, the club are hurting and they realize that some of the customers are getting chased off by either being asked over and over by different girls if they wants dances or the girls being too aggressive.
The other unfortunate thing I found with economy has been many of the hotter girls are leaving the clubs are more customer expect more (extras) for less money.
Plus I have sat in clubs for a couple hours where I was the only tipping the girls on stage or getting dances. Good for me since it is easy to be popular but bad for the girls and the club.

I have seen and gotten dances from a number of Porn stars in clubs over the years: Serenity, Jenna Jameson, Jenna Haze, Sunny Lane, Nina Hartley, and more. Most of the time the dances are surprisingly lame - it usually depends on the club.
I had a couple good experiences though. Most surprising was when I took my wife to see one of the stars mentioned above and we ended up making a long-term 'friend'. It all started when my wife went to get a Polaroid with the star for me and my wife took off her top too! The star was so surprised/impressed that she came and talked with us every chance she got.
My second best was at O'Farrell in SF a few years back. Don't know if they still have feature entertainers there but I went a couple times when one particular star was there and it was full contact.

It is not done for smoking but the Deja Vu in Minneapolis has 3 stories, all nude, no alcohol but the best dance specials I have seen anywhere. They have 2-4-1 and 3-4-1 specials almost every 20 min plus tshirt/hat giveaways.
1st floor, normal seating and open lap dance area. 2nd floor - VIP semi-private lap dances. 3rd floor - private bed dances (yes you lay down and the girl 'dances' on top of you). Depending on the dancer, the dance can have two-way 'contact'. Of course, prices of the dances go up per floor.
The bonus for me, since I like to watch actual pole dancing is that they have a 2-story pole that the dancers can get on via the 2nd floor and slide down to the 1st floor. And a number of dancers actually use and have routines for the pole!
This is my favorite club overall. Only things that would make it better are for them to serve alcohol and legal full contact.

samsung1 - the pasties thing in Columbus sucks but I dare say that the no contact laws are exercised liberally by some clubs/dancers. I have had nearly as much contact in a couple Columbus clubs as I have in Detroit or Miami/Tampa. As I am sure you know, it is all about finding the right dancer and/or becoming familiar to the right dancer...

Not a day shift guy (I actually have a job that requires me to work...) but I do try to get there early for evening shift partially for this reason. There is a club in Atlanta that I watched the dancer I had just given a pearl necklace to run directly on stage for her set - no cleanup. Some guy went up to tip her and went back to his buddies bragging how she was all 'sweaty' for him...
This is why I always excuse myself to restroom before any close up with a dancer, I grab a wet towel and bring it back with me. I play off asking her to wipe off a little by telling her I have allergies to some perfumes. Most dancers do not mind.
For a similar reason, all my OTC involve the girl showering too...
Oh, do not forget to buy her a drink and offer her a mint or gum. ;-)

My recommendations:
1) Vegas - Little Darlings - depends on the dancer/bouncer mix but could be lots of fun
2) DC - if you just want to have a couple drinks and maybe grab a decent bite to eat and are in the Georgetown area then Good Guys. Small club, Full nude, no lap dances but considering anyplace better is a drive to MD it is better than sitting in a hotel.
3) Houston - Treasures is always a favorite but there are number of clubs you can have a good time depending on what your definition of 'good time' is.
4) Dayton - as others as said - Cheeks or Living Room. If you have some 'friends' with you then Cheeks is a good place to hang out.

Having traveled the world and been to countless SC, I can say the following:
1) it is rare that you have to worry about your drinks. Like others have said, if you take expensive liquor then you may lose it. Otherwise, occasionally a beer or two may disappear but not your whole stash.
BTW - if you want to get any respect, leave the Mike's hard lemonade at home. Take better beer and vodka/rum/whiskey if you want the girls to sit with you for your 'company' instead of the $ you give them.
2) If the club allows the girls (which you should ask - at the door, the host/hostess, waitress, or a dancer), then you should offer a drink to them. If you have the quality/quantity of alcohol and you are not a total douche bag then you could find yourself with a few girls sitting with you for most/part of the evening. Plus as the girls get some alcohol in them, they tend to give more liberal dances. ;-) Just make sure you are allowed (club rules or city/state law) to offer the girls drinks - you don't want to get kicked out of the club for doing so.
3) this one really depends on the crowd, the night, and the atmosphere of the club (including the girls). Most clubs have been just fine (which you should expect of the Texas clubs) while others get crazier.

My $.02 - she is hoping for: (1) a nice tip at the end; (2) you become a regular; (3) you become an OTC 'friend' with $ benefits. I have only 'heard' of a couple times where the dancer was so fond of/familiar with the customer that extras were given without some type of expectation.

I really like a dancer to do the pole tricks / stage performance - that is why Gentlemen's club began - adult Entertainment. Sometimes I am just in the mood to have a few drinks, watch a good show with beautiful naked women, have a conversation with a couple of them and consider it a nice relaxing evening. However, if I am in the mood for 'something else' then I agree the 'Performer' is not always the best for getting a lap dance or more from. Still I respect the effort of a good Performance and either tip her well while onstage or ask the waitress/manager to have her come to my table so that I can tip her more personally.

If the dancer has been sitting chatting with me for a couple songs without the hard sell for dances then I definitely buy her a drink. Depending on my mood, I may not be there for dances but just to watch the show. If so, a couple drinks and maybe a few bucks slipped directly to her to cover her time is the least I can do. Especially since I have been finding that more clubs are requiring the dancers to get a certain number of drinks purchased for them by customers each night.

I would say it depends on the type of dancers you like and how far you want to travel. Here are my recommendations:
1) NorthEast area - definitely Providence, RI. The 'extras' are technically legal. You will get mostly US girls with typical Northeast attitude. Depending on the girl that could translate into a great time.
2) Southeast area - choice of three cities, Atlanta, Tampa, and Miami/Ft Lauderdale. Tampa and Miami areas you get a lot of European, latin, Brazilian women who will offer you pretty much anything. Atlanta will give you variety and if you like Black women then you will be in heaven.
3) Midwest area - Detroit (really Windsor). The girls in the Detroit clubs are feeling the city's economy so your dollar will go MUCH further than most other cities. Indianapolis area also has a couple good options. If you go to Cincinnati there is a club in Covington where almost all the girls offered OTC without cost! But be aware that the club is different (and more expensive) in how you get the girl's time/attention inside the club.

1) When you have a key to the club in case they need your help to open or close...
2) When you get invited to a staff meeting.
3) When you miss a couple nights and all the dancers/employees call to make sure you are OK.
4) When the bouncer/DJ/Bartender asks you to cover for him for a few hours.
