Something tells me that the Brits are not going to emulate the Chinese in offering bikini clad cheerleaders at the Beach Volleyball matches (props to the commie menace for this enlightened innovation). If those California bellies and Brazilian booties are covered by T-shirts and shorts this year, interest in the sport will collapse, regardless of how well anyone plays.

There are many places where the stage dancing is required by management and girls are expected to go onstage when it is their turn (unless they are in a private room). Most don't like it much so I generally make an effort to tip girls on stage when: 1. they are really putting on a good show, 2. they are not getting tipped much and need support, or 3. I want them to find me later for a dance. In any case, stage tipping is a good, low cost way to raise morale and let girls know you are paying attention. Obviously, if you are sitting at the stage you should be tipping all the girls. To sit in a stage seat and not tip will identify you as a cheapskate and be counterproductive for getting dances later.

Streamate is the one I am a member of. Several of the girls I visit occasionally have been, or still are, actively dancing. The funny thing is, I started out looking for "hardcore" shows to get off to and ended up spending as much money on girls I like who do hot, but less extreme shows. The "gold show" feature also allows you to join a show for a set fee, often as small as $1 to watch a few minutes rather than pay the per minute rate (which can really add up quickly). Just as with dancers, you end up logging on the check on your favorites, catch a few cheap random gold shows, and eventually decide who you want to get off with and how much you want to spend. The parallels are interesting: some girls use charm and personality, others use brazen come-ons, and there is plenty of CGS (cam girl shit) to go around.

I would add that we are a small percentage of the average club's clientele. Once upon a time, the upscale clubs counted on businessmen with expense accounts who did not care about the details since they could spend the company's money on food, drinks, and hot chicks. The bad economy has replaced these guys with equally indiscriminate losers with no taste and less money. Throw in 18 year old college kids drinking soda and you have a bunch of lame clubs and clueless managers whose idea of a promotion is to charge $25 for the shot glasses and give the 2 dances away for free.

I have been visiting them for awhile, which is why I have not been here as much. It lacks the two way contact, but the dynamics of finding good performers, making a connection, and getting the show you want is very much the same as dealing with dancers. It will murder your SC budget--worse yet, it will do it on a credit card.

I am reminded of the ill-fated campaign here in Ohio to undo the draconian strip club regulations that got passed by a spineless legislature. One group want to put a repeal intitiative on the ballot; another wanted to put the law to a referendum. Both attempted to mobilize strip club owners, customers, and employees to talk up the issue and collect signatures on the petitions. Between the brainless owners, the clueless strippers, and 100,000 'John Smith, 99 Turd Lane, Bumchuck, Ohio" signatures, nothing ever made it to the ballot.

Allen and Parr are a bit before my time as late night hosts, but Steve Allen always was funny as a guest on talk shows.

I have had some nice dances from shot girls in clubs where they had the option to dance or not. Several places occasionally had dancers who occasionally doubled as waitresses, but rarely did it work the other way around. However, it should be noted that in most cases, these were air dance clubs, so my expectations were limited regardless.

I am wary of any story that involves a stranger being out of gas. There is a common scam that starts with a person running out of gas and needing some cash. The hot MILF with a kid is a very tempting variation on the theme, but I would agree with Dudester that you wisely avoided being drawn into something illegal, dishonest, or dangerous.

I cannot disagree that younger guys tend to be more obviously rude, cheap, and obnoxious, but they are not the only culprits. Shadowcat's example is not unusual. Middle aged golf buddies or business associates bring their "he man women hater" attitudes into clubs, where they resent the girls for making money without putting out. All their frustration and hostility with their wives, exes, mistresses, female bosses, and women in general is funneled to the dancers, servers, and shot girls. I suspect that most of us have taken a buddy to a club and found out that they didn't want to get dances, tip, or give any respect to women they perceive to be "whores" and mercenary bitches. That's why we usually go to our regular clubs alone.

It was around 1980 and I was a student at Kent State when I found The Outpost, a bikini bar just south of town. You only saw titties or pussy if the girl flashed you and tipping was mostly in singles no matter what kind of dance it was. Girls still did 3 song sets on stage with themes, costumes, and a slow strip and the LD was unheard of. I was hooked and met my first ATF there. She danced for years in local clubs and we became good friends. I never really dreamed of getting actual sex from dancers in those days, although I suspect it was there for those who had the inclination and the cash.

Although most of us are focused on the lechery at hand in our club activities, many casual SC customers will take advantage of football promotions (particularly Sunday and Monday night) that some gentleman's clubs offer. Given how many clubs are struggling to attract customers, this is a good thing for everyone involved.

The only reason I still go to air dance clubs is loyalty to a handful of girls that I got to know over time. As they slowly fade from the club, my attendance drops in favor of more mileage with less ambiance.

The article and comments so far have hit it on the head. The problem of over-the-top DJ's got worse when hip-hop club culture made DJ's into celebrities for their alleged skill at mixing and playing dance music. The local wanna-be's who can't find their fantasy jobs end up in strip clubs and annoy everyone with their nonsense. Former or current radio jocks are generally bad, even when they only get on stage to do promotions on certain nights. Total tools. Then there are the "do-it-all" DJs who work the strip club 3 nights a week and do wedding receptions, teen parties, karaoke, and dance nights at the local honky-tonk the rest of the time. They seem clueless to the distinction between gigs and often play the worse music of all of them. A good DJ, like a good sound engineer, is worth his/her weight in gold and should be paid and rewarded accordingly.
