    USA Monger Guide
I wish TUSCL had an edit function because I re read my post above and realized that I acknowledged the down side of explicit posts (mostly related to LE and management liability if the details are accessible by the wrong parties). I failed to adequately describe the positive side of a site that contains detailed information (kine of like a consumers report for strip clubs and strippers). Imagine going into your favorite strip club where 10-20 dancers are on duty and trying to decide who to invite for a private dance. You log into a secure web site and there are reviews of most, maybe all of the dancers that the DJ is introducing. You can notice which ones have multiple complaints about ripping customers off. You notice which ones are "clean" dancers-- maybe you're in the market for some extras and don't want to spend time and money on the "clean" dancers. You also notice which ones have consistently positive reviews and which ones have mixed reviews. The point is that, like anything, you need to balance the risks and the rewards. If you can eliminate or minimize the risk (possibly by making the forum more private), then sometimes the benefits can sometimes justify the risks. This calculation may be need to be made for each geographic area.

rickdugan makes a valid point about the down side of posting too much information about strip club activities. This cautionary note is applicable in any geographic area where the SC activities are tightly regulated. But-- Detroit is a unique market where extras are widely available and discussed quite openly in most clubs. Furhermore, some of the web sites have a level of screening that is designed to insure that only verified customers (not managers of LE) have access to any detailed information. In other words, it is more secure than an open forum but less secure than a PM. Nevertheless, it is a judgment call where you have to weigh the benefits of detailed information against the risks (and validity) of the information. I know that screening is imperfect at best and I wouldn't want to do anything to curtail ITC fun (such as posting so much detail in PUBLIC forums that LE or club managers are forced to take action).

I would prefer that the spas and AMPs stay but in their own section. They do serve an important function. In an area where the strip club mileage is limited, they do provide some guidance and a sure alternative for the frustrated SC patron. I know that there are some other sites devoted to spas and massage parlors but some of the sites are not organized by establishment and some of the sites require a user fee to obtain any information. TUSCL provides a nice alternative to those other sites.

I don't have any comment on the ease of signing up or on Joe Dirt's motivation in promoting this site. All I can say is that the site does contain reviews of specific dancers at various clubs with a level of detail that is seldom available on other sites. If details about extras, prices, rip offs, negotiation strategies, etc. is of interest to you, then the site is worth taking a few minutes to sample. Georgemicrodong does raise an interesting issue about signing up for multiple adult entertainment discussion sites. I'm an active member of several sites (TUSCL, USASG, USA Monger Guide, The Monger Review, Two Sheds, even Naughty Reviews until that site became virtually unusable). I use the same screen name and of course the same IP address when accessing all of these sites. In what way does that pose a risk and what, if anything should I do to minimize risk (should I delete cookies)?

The start of a new school year
Child bearing and, later menopsuse, seem to wreak havoc on many women's bodies and their sexuality. However, in far too many cases, the damage is a result of manageable causes-- such as lack of exercise and over eating. For those of us in relationships which are good, in spite of the decline in sexual attractiveness and interest from our SOs, all I can say is I'm appreciative of strip clubs and financially challenged college students and single mothers who have healthy attitudes about sex and their bodies.

Rank Detroits VIP room set ups
San Jose Joe: Nice post, wrong city. Actually the Detroit strip club scene is much better than the San Fran strip club scene in my opinion. Far more strip clubs that provide extras and more reasonable prices in Detroit. I was pretty disappointed in the San Fran scene on a recent visit to the area.

Rank Detroits VIP room set ups
In addition to Penthouse, Flight Club, Coliseum and Hustler, I would also place Scores in the top tier with respect to the quality of the VIP facilities. For me, middle tier VIPs include Landing Strip, BTs, Toy Chest and Players. Rounding out the bottom tier are the phone booths and crappy cafeteria-style chairs featured at Bogarts, Henry VIII and Cricket. Of course, a nice VIP is not worth very much unless a club has the talent to take to the VIP for some fun. Unfortunately, the talent seems to ebb and flow at many clubs as strippers tend to migrate from club to club. When you factor in a combination of VIP and talent, my top tier would be Penthouse, Players (day shift especially) and Flight Club. Coliseum, Landing Strip and BTs are usually worth a visit but the talent seems to be less consistent from visit to visit.

What clubs would you recommend for "extras" in Detroit, and what is the best are
All good advice. I would also mention that Players Lounge on 8 Mile has a very good line up of talent during day shift.

    Old Reviews
All along, I thought all of these reviews were fiction, products of aspiring creative writers. The only regrets for prior reviews should be for awful prose as in "It was a dark and stormy night at the local strip club when Mercedes slithered on to the stage wearing little more than a day glow thong and her tattoos."

    San Francisco Clubs
The SF strip club scene is surprisingly weak for a city with such a prominent role in the sexual revolution. MBOT is fun but the prices are unrealistically high. CH was OK but private dances were also quite pricey. I recommend a visit to MBOT just for the spectacle but if you don't find what you're looking for, you can make an appointment at a local massage parlor. The feds seem to have closed down myredbook which was a helpful site for identifying massage parlors, etc. in the Bay area. I'm not sure where else to go for San Fran information (maybe rubmaps or backpage?). Hopefully locals will have some helpful information.

Rent a car and drive to Detroit--- really! It will be time well invested when compared to the Lansing scene. Check the reviews of the Detroit area clubs for details. My current favorite is Players Lounge on 8 Mile but there are lots of other options.

    Detroit suggestions
I recommend Player's Lounge on 8 MIle, especially if you're interested in day shift. Otherwise, you've covered most of the higher end clubs. Notably absent from this list are Scores (not very impressive talent on my only three visits to this club and some recent reports of management reeling in the fun in the VIPs) and Hustler (overpriced and "under" fun).

Detroit - a great town for strip clubs or THE GREATEST town?
You've only scratched the surface if you've only visited the clubs on 8 Mile (consider also, BTs, Toy Chest, Flight Club, Landing Strip, Bogarts, Henry VIII to name a few). The metro area is pretty large and does feature some "not so nice" areas and clubs so an automobile and some level of good sense and street smarts is recommended. But if ITC extras at a reasonable price point is of interest, then Detroit is a great town with a range of clubs from upscale to dive bars. In a different discussion, I suggested that the Detroit Renaissance should be built on sex tourism, rather than the auto industry.

    Orlando illego strip club busted.
The existence of an underground strip club in Orlando does not surprise me. The Disney political muscle seems to have a strangle hold on the strip club scene in Orlando. Next thing you know, the dancers will be required to air brush off any signs of nipples and vaginas and dance to music from the Little Mermaid. Fortunately, Tampa and Cocoa Beach have decent strip club scenes and they are within driving distance of the Magic Kingdom. I could do without the drug dealing at the underground club but I would have certainly enjoyed a visit to an all nude club during my trips to Orlando.

I may have discovered the source of Jerkson's unrelenting negativity. His rating of Carrie Fisher as a zero suggests that he has completely unrealistic standards for women, delusional beliefs about his desirability or zero testosterone. He may have not been laid in years. He may need some hormone replacement therapy although I personally prefer moaning whores over hormone replacement. For the record, I'd give Fisher a solid 7 in her Princess Leia role. I would surely notice her if I passed her on the street, but then I notice and fantasize about lots (not all!) of the women that I meet (and I'm old, as in 60). I would surely say "yes" if Fisher offered a strip tease, lap dance or insisted on seducing me. Nice fantasy?? -- no wonder I like sci fi themes.

The New World Order - Strip Club version
I sympathize with those TUSCL members who live in states (or provinces) where strip clubs are like PG-13 versions of convents. These prudish, old-world values do create a market for tourism to sex friendly U.S. cities and locales (kind of like the trips to sex resorts in the Dominican Republic or other locales). Who would have dreamed that Detroit might become a travel destination for sex tourism?
