Most o the clubs I go to have mixture of white and black (chocolate or milk chocolate) dancers. I love the ones with names like Delicious, Sugar, Desire, Honey, Luscious. These names are all ridiculous - except, in this part of the country they seem to signal willingness to do extras and have fun. Last night it was Honey, and I tell you she was a handful.

I totally agree with Shadowcat and the other posters concerning ridiculous 10 ratings. Hopefully the Editors and Founder have been rejecting the 10 ratings where the writer uses a 10 as if it was a flashing sign. I have seen 10 rating used to announce a newly remodeled club, a feature dancer, etc. THIS IS WRONG. In all fairness, I have not seen such usage in recent weeks, but I don't read all the "10" reviews like I used to.
I would favor a "wikipedia" type effort of defining what TUSCL expects of a 10. As I said in my previous post, it would be hard to agree on one single definition of a "10" but with Founder's cooperation, we could give it a try.
And it goes without saying that whoever gives the PROPOSED REVIEW to become an actual posted review, should scrutinize every "10" review closely to see that it meets Founder's requirements, even if these are never published.

with all due respect to robofan the characteristics he posed for different ratings are ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.
I do think it would be nice to develop some criteria for numerical ratings, but it would be very difficult. And the level of ILLEGAL SERVICES offered should not be part of the review.
Believe it or not, a lot of guys go to Strip Clubs to ogle beautiful women and have a nice fantasy, without expecting anything illegal.
Don't mean to pick on Robofan because I know a lot of clubbers would agree with his criteria. But it just wouldn't fly. One of the charms of Strip Clubs is the ambiguity about what is going to happen, what is legal, etc. Take Mons Venus for examples. Totally nude lap dances are NOT illegal. Sexual stimulation thru the customer's clothes may or may not be illegal in Tampa. But it is illegal in Iowa and Colorado. Sexually stimulating a customer (for money) through physical contact by the provider is ILLEGAL in many states.

Bailouts -- correct me if I am wrong, but all these corporate bailouts are not "just handing out money" like they do with food stamps and welfare payments. They are either in the form of LOANS or EQUITY INVESTMENTS.
If you loan a business money, and the business fails anyway, you lose your investment, but can you actually say a bailout occurred if the boat sinks anyway?

Both Mr. Guy and Some Young Guy make valid points, but they really are on different topics. Both of them would merit separate discussion threads. I think Observe hit the nail right on the head, though.
Keep in mind that prostitution is not LEGALIZED in Rhode Island. Rather, prostitutes have found a loophole in the Rhode Island law that doesn't explicitly PROHIBIT sexual activity for money indoors. And that is a very good thing. Just because there is no law specifically prohibiting it doesn't mean that it will develop as a great local industry and it hasn't. If the right entrepreneur came into Rhode Island something very nice might develop, or maybe not, since the legislature, if sufficiently allowed, could easily change the law to eliminate the loophole.
I do like Some Young Guy's comment about Cheyenne Wyoming, even though it was completely off-topic. My response is equally offtopic, and that is - I have a nostalgic connection between TUSCL and Cheyenne Wyoming. In September 2001 I was planning a trip that was to take me through Cheyenne, and was thinking about staying the night there. I used Google to see if I could locate some strip clubs there. And I found that the best strip club locater, at that time, was TUSCL. And further, I discovered that Cheyenne ain't of much value strip-club-wise.
Some Young Guy, if you REALLY think that we strip club hounds could build a network that is much better than what TUSCL provides, my advice is GO FOR IT. A good entrepreneur with a good idea can always make a pile of money. Hey, this is the USA, the Land of Opportunity.

That message at the bottom "Everything written on this site should be considered a work of fiction". That message may be to protect Founder from legal action as much as anything. Cetainly not EVERYTHING posted is fiction. I don't think even HALF is fiction. I do think maybe 10% is pure unadulterated fictional bullshit. But I would have a very difficult (impossible) time picking between an honest review which outlines some pretty amazing adventure, and a well-constructed piece of fiction. Over the years we have discussed this many times on this board. Perhaps the worst offender in the history of TUSCL was "Hot Lap Dance" where the owner, dancers, and friends all contributed fake reviews. I think the best you can hope for in an anonymous volunteer system like we have in TUSCL is a general idea of what the heck is going on in any particular club. I totally agree with the advice one of the previous posters offered -- if you see a review that you KNOW is fake, because of your own personal experience, notify Founder and hope he will take some action against the offender. And as another poster observed, checking the length of membership and general tenor of past reviews can help. But there are no absolutes here. Even a reviewer with a good track record might occasionally exaggerate. Dems da breaks.

I like it a lot. Actually, I LOVE it. I think Founder is a great genius and humanitarian. I could do a little nitpicking - such as being REQUIRED to give three evaluation numbers on every evaluation, but that's a piddling complaint isn't it. I get more personal benefit out of this site than any other, except Google and Wikipedia.

Other than they are often performed by the same person, is there any connection between "good lap dances" and "good stage dancing". I always thought of them as totally separate skills, which are often - but not always - performed by the same person. I have known several lap dancers who pay the bar for the privilege of working the room for LDs without ever mounting the stage. I totally agree that straight sex is easier for a woman than EITHER lap dancing or stage dancing.

Only thing about Shadowcat being a lesbian is, I think lesbians are expected (required!) to have tits and pussies.

This is an interesting thread, but the originating post is downright weird. (Since the OP describes self as a 22 yo female CUSTOMER, I don't see the point of suggesting it might actually be a guy, or a stripper, or a teenager, or ....)
But it does seem odd to join TUSCL for the specific reason of offering some advice to DANCERS. Since very few dancers would ever read it. Just another confused person. (There are a lot more out there, believe me.)

my guess is that less than 1% of dancers and less than 10% of customers look at this site.

Most exciting non-strip-club experience? Probably the third day of my honeymoon (50 years ago)- I was a virgin when married. By the third day I had kinda got the hang of it, and got laid seven times that day. Next day my new bride said she felt a little sore down there and maybe we should take a day off.

Sad story by Dudester. This sort of thing happens A LOT MORE THAN YOU WOULD THINK. Being in a pretty solid marriage I try hard to NOT get into an emotional relationship with any of the dancers. But I have occasionally strayed over the edge, and it just never works out. Dudester's story reminds me that: nine times out of ten she will break your heart if you let her. I think SuperDude pretty much nailed it. BobbyL has also discussed the futility of trying to establish a friendly relationship or a romantic relationship with an SC dancer. It ain't absolutely IMPOSSIBLE but it is the rare exception. Perhaps the best advice on this topic is "The Four F Rule": Find em, Feel em, Fuck em, and Forget em"

I looked around on the web for a movie named "Innocent Sally" and found NONE. However, there IS a movie named "The Dirty Mind of Young Sally" staring Sharon Kelly. Is this perchance the movie that Dudeter is referring to?

Who the hell cares whether one TUSCL poster is Gay or another is a Pervert a Dirty Old Man or a Wimp. I don't see the point of this thread at all. And -- to be "outed" on a board where all posters are anonymous..... what a joke. An oxymoron.

Chameleon Club in Washington Park, Illinois. The club was a dump, but Debbie (bisexual, probably 40 years old at the time) stole my heart. If not for Debbie, I wouldn't have a fond memory of Chameleon Club.

At 73, I seem to be the oldest one reporting in. Saw my first "strip show" at age 15 (58 years ago), but it was in a carnival not a club. I started hitting the clubs fairly seriously 35 years ago, and am currently trying to break the addiction.

Book Guy, there is a Club Pink Pussycat in Miami, near the airport. But that's quite a ways from lauderdale especially in heavy traffic. Maybe the place you are thinking of has closed.

You are screwed, man. Either have to waste a TON of time getting to the good place, or settle for second rate places near your place. You hit 101 at the wrong time and you can get tied up in slow moving traffic for a long time. I have faced the same dilemma in that area, and there is no easy answer

We could start a whole new thread on the subject of music at strip clubs. I am sure it would be interesting. But I am even more interested to learn if there is anybody besides Jablake who would prefer a "strip club" without music. I don't see how it could be a strip club myself. It could be a hostess club or a brothel. In a strip club, I think both the dancers and the customers need to music to motivate the action.
As for being happy, well, I HAVE met some pleasing dancers who were sexual but not happy. That's OK. I prefer happy to nonhappy, but I prefer sexual and unhappy to nonsexual. I can't stand nonsexual girls in strip clubs. Why do they think we are there? To discuss politics or the latest movies? I can do that at the library or the coffee shop.

Do you have a little Italian in you?
Go to the Fare Club (at Cabaret Royale) during the day, find a decent looking gal, tell her up front what you have in mind, and prepared to show a Benjamin or two. Rates and services are all negotiable here. Guys have been disappointed at night. Day is more likely to pay off. But always remember YMMV
