  Well, it really is two different professions. I expect many escorts would feel ridiculous stripping for a customer. Several years ago, when I was in Thailand, I had a conversation with a young prostitute; she was VERY beautiful, flawless, and I commented that she could make more money dancing in a US club then she could turning tricks in Bangkok... but the very thought was out of the question for her. Why? "I'm too shy", she said... this a girl who had no sexual limitations otherwise. Also, frankly, stripping erotically *is* a skill. Ever seen, say, a drunk amateur "stripping"? Aside from the novelty value, it's usually not very good! I do know a few escorts who started as strippers (its a not uncommon entree to the profession) and who would be happy to oblige, the the typical escort isn't going to feel comfortable with it. O.

  Ozy... You make a good point. Strip-tease dancing is more of a learned profession where as, just having sex comes more naturally. So, it's reasonable to assume that it's easier for strippers to escort OTC than for escorts to give good lap dances.

  Other than they are often performed by the same person, is there any connection between "good lap dances" and "good stage dancing". I always thought of them as totally separate skills, which are often - but not always - performed by the same person. I have known several lap dancers who pay the bar for the privilege of working the room for LDs without ever mounting the stage. I totally agree that straight sex is easier for a woman than EITHER lap dancing or stage dancing.

  I'd venture a guess that stage dancing is the hardest of the three. Mostly because it's performing in front of an audience. One on one performances are a little easier for most people. Sort of like the difference in public speaking and a job interview. Of course there are those who are naturally talented at public speaking (or stage dancing) but by and large the one on one performance is probably easier. As for an escort doing a strip tease: Even though it's one on one, dancing is a totally different skill than fucking or sucking. For that matter, fucking and sucking are different skills.

  Stage dancing is definitely a skill, one that 75% of the dancers don't have I might add. You notice that a lot of the girls well let's say 1/3 of those in a club never dance on stage. Usually they are the best looking and get by without it. I like to see them on stage and how they act with you before getting a dance so in 99% of the cases if they haven't or don't dance I don't get a lap dance from them. At the old PP in Memphis you could pretty well judge the best lap dancers from how they took your tits. Lots of them never danced but just moved around the stage and took tips. Escorts generally don't hang around the clubs, too much competition I think and in reality a different market. You hire them for something specific at a stated price. A dancer you try to get to do something in or out of the club usually on an impluse and as a challenge.

  My two favorite escorts both either used to dance or still dance. That being said, a lot of escorts also can't stand strippers because they feel it's all just a tease and a lot of strippers cant stand escorts because they make it harder for strippers to sell a fantasy when escorts are selling the whole ball of wax. Whichever way you look at it, to me at least, it;s all part of the sex business. A lot of the women involved see it that way too but many don't.

  I've met two dancers who I found out later seemed to have some type of escort thing going on the side. I didn't catch on to this right away. They both invited me to join them away from the club before going into any more information which by itself doesn't tell you hardly anything. One did add that if I had asked her, she wouldn't have gone anywhere with me because she didn't meet up with anyone who asked her.
