founderslip a dollar in her g-string for me
I know I’m coming in late on this discussion but a few of things jump out at me:
1. Somewhere on the tuscl site Founder says “Don’t believe anything you read here.†I guess that’s somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but it is good advice to take everything with a grain of salt. Of course that goes for what you read in the newspapers and watch on TV as well.
2. I think the free four week membership for a review is part of a very good business model. I doubt that there would be nearly as many reviews on tuscl if there wasn’t some incentive for posting. While some bogus reviews get through, I think it adds to the site to have such a large volume of reviews. You can usually tell if a review is bogus and skip it.
3. When I first read Founder’s post I though, “Geez, am I back in 8th grade English class?†To wit: “Your review should be at least 2 solid paragraphs, with 7-10 sentences each. The first paragraph should describe the club, the second should describe the dancers. You should also summarize with one sentence saying whether or not you would return to the club.†If that were the standard I had to meet, I’d never bother to write. I think Founder has some good points but the creativity of the writing is what makes it fun to read the site. It’s a good thing he doesn’t hold us to that standard.
4. Names: I often mention a dancer by name if I get an especially good or bad experience. I’ve never had the opportunity for much outside the rules or the law, but if I did I would not mention a name. I might not even include that in the club review for fear of getting the club in trouble. I never run into girls mentioned by other reviewers so it probably is pretty pointless but I like to boost the reputations of the girls who are good and warn others low-mileage dancers.
I think we all have to keep in mind YMMV and No. 1 above. Tuscl is a great site. Founder, keep up the good work.

On subject: I have not experienced OTC and I've never been asked. I have hinted at it a couple of times with a couple of dancers I really liked but was told NO. I assumed it was a pretty rare occurence until I started reading this board.
Off subject: Chitown, this is why I like to read this discussion board. I'm always learning something. Sometimes it's about strip clubs and related topics (such as OTC experiences and possibilities) and sometimes it's edifying in another way... like maybe expanding my vocabulary. "pusillanimous"!! I had to look that one up. I also like that no one gives you shit for using that word.
I always thought that the expression "He's such a pussy" meant that he is meek or cowardly like a woman (yes, I know that's a politically incorrect perjorative. I've met some pretty bold and courageous women, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought it.) Now I wonder if it comes from pusillanimous.
Book Guy also makes some references occasionally that I don't get. But I can usually google it.

Chicago is definitely a strange market. I figure it’s local laws not state laws that make it so weird because in St. Louis all the good clubs are on the Illinois side of the river and they are much better than anything around Chicago.
In the city you’ve got odd-ball places like the Admiral Theater and Scarlett’s. I been to both of those only once and that was years ago. There’s a two or three places on the north side around North and Clyborn but I don’t think they are much for lap dances with contact, as far as I know. Out in Melrose Park you can get a lap dance (if you can call it that) on a bar stool in front of all the other customers for $10—maybe more if you want to cop a feel. Maybe the best for contact lap dances is All Stars in Northlake but if I remember correctly they go for about $30 a song. As dennyspade mentioned, Industrial Strip, across the state line in Hammond, has excellent, all-nude lap dances with two-way contact (just not the kitty). But then they have those stupid pasties! I think that’s the most illogical thing I’ve seen in a strip club.
Recently I was in Portland, OR. That’s another weird place….

Yes, it depends on the club and the dancer. I recently tried a "scientific experiment" at a club near Chicago--Heavenly Bodies. This is an oddball club because the dancers dance in bikinis on stage (no nudity) but will take their tops off for private dances. (As noted elsewhere on this DB Chicago is a strange market). On my first visit I got a couple of dances from a beautiful Polish girl in the "VIP room". Now here's another odditiy--the VIP at HB is the lower scale option--it's a room with a concrete floor and straight-back chairs with a bouncer watching constantly. The dances were good and sensual but I wondered what it would be like upstairs. I was told that there were sofas and it was a little more private. So I returned another day at the same time (early afternoon) and went upstairs with the same dancer. The sofa was much more comfortable and the bouncer was outside the door (although I think there were cameras in the room) but the milage was exactly the same. I still enjoyed it. The dancer hinted that downstairs was more profitable for her.

Any chance that Lacey in Indianapolis also goes by the name Asia? I was in that town once and stoped by Brad's Brass Flamingo. I remember about 3 or 4 years ago getting 3 song set from a girl. Normally in this club the dancers tend to change positions frequently but on this particular set she remained facing me and we started holding hands real tight. She closed her eyes and threw her head back and ground me very well. Either she was an excelent actress or she enjoyed it almost as much as I did. I don't really get RL's use of the word "affection" here. IMHO LDs have little to do with affection.
But the prices are based on simple economic supply and demand. "Charge what the market will bear." If the customers are buying lots of dances then they are underpriced. If few guys are buying, then they're overpriced. And every market is different both because of affluence (or lack of) of the local population and the local laws which constrain what the dancers can offer. I usually find that SCs in rural areas have lower prices than in urban areas, but that's not always true.

I like lapdances. Sometimes it's fun to chat with a stripper but most of the time I'd rather just get to it. One of the reasons I avoid the VIP/champagne rooms, besides the high cost, is that I really don't care to spend that much time with a dancer. Three lap dances is usually my max with one girl. And the few girls who I'd describe as ATFs have earned that by their skills on my lap, not their conversational skills.
BTW, I've never be fortunate enough to get any "extras" or action OTC. I've never asked because I always thought it highly unlikely, but since I've been reading the postings here I've discovered that it happens more often than I thought (either that or you're all lying, which may be the more likely explanation) Well, another explanation, I guess, is that I never take enough time to get to know a girl well enough.

I may not be qualified to enter this discussion, since I've never fucked a stripper. But from my experience with other women, I'd agree with ClifBar. Best not to let her know, at least directly. There are a lot of nuances to this question. Of course, you want to let her know you like her and find her appealing, even hot. But I think most women are turned off when you tell them you want to fuck them. That's when they feel like a sexual object rather than an attractive person. Also, if a stripper knows that you are really hot for her, then she may be more defensive, fearing that you might try something off limits. Or she may just try to rip you off. (and that goes for women who don't strip in clubs too!)
But at some point there has to be some communication to find out if the feeling is mutual. And it's sometimes hard to know when that point is reached. The more you want to fuck a woman the harder it is to make a decision because your mind is clouded by your desire. Should I go for it or will I blow it? If you're sort of ambivalent about the lady, then it's easier to read her signals. Once you've decided your chances are good you still have to avoid saying anything crude. (need I say avoid the f-word?) If she was inclined to fuck you, you just might change her mind with the wrong approach.
Man, happylap, this is so much bullshit. I think the short answer is: Just treat her like a person. Strippers have the same emotions and sensitivities as all women. If you sense she wants to fuck you, then it's okay to tell her you'd like to fuck her too. But I also agree with cliff that if you know she wants to fuck you and you act indifferent, she'll probably want you more. Women like a challenge. So why blow it until you're really sure?

I'll change my short answer to: If you like the stripper, treat her like a person.
Strippers are in the business to listen to all sorts of weird shit. They put up with it because they get paid (and some get paid well) So if you just feel like playing around, you can say pretty much anything you want, as long as it's not insulting. Most of the banter is negotiating a business proposition so whatever works....
Now if you really want to get in her pants, you've got to play it more carefully. So I'd say it's only a bad idea to tell a stripper you want to fuck her if you REALLY want to fuck her. How's that for irony?

For me, a lap dance is sort of like a movie. The movie critics say that a good movie lets you suspend disbelief. Even though you know the movie is fiction and special effects, a good movie lets you forget that for a time and almost believe it's real. Well, I think a good lap dancer lets you suspend disbelief. You know she’s doing it for the money, but if she’s real good she can make you forget that for a couple of minutes—and almost believe she's enjoying it as much as you are. In a couple of instances I actually believed it but that's probably my own fantasy and a good actress.

As founder says, "Don't believe anything you read on this site." So I don't pay much attention to the ratings. Above 5 is worth a visit if the reviews make it seem interesting. Below 5 is probably not worth a visit unless there's something interesting in a review. It's hard to use objective ratings for something as subjective as strip clubs. Everyone is looking for something different and everyone's expectations are different. For instance, living in the Chicago area would definitely lower one's expectations since the clubs there are so lame. A TUSCLer from Chicago might be more generous with the numerical ratings since he's not used to clubs with full bars and naked strippers giving full-contact lap dances.
