The truly old timers will remember how on alt.sex.strip-clubs we developed a convention of putting ASSC in the title of each post. We used that as a filter to quickly hide most of the commercial spam and scams that were cluttering up the newsgroup.
Combining forums seems like taking a trip back in time, forcing many people to switch to VIP Mode in order to filter.
My speculation is that right now, you have some VIP members that occasionally go into the front room - who would just leave their browser set to 'VIP only' all of the time after combining forums.

Discussion of the amount of "mileage" available in clubs certainly dates back to 1995 or earlier, when I first started reading the old USENET forum alt.sex.strip-clubs. The precedent was established long before Icey decided to bestow his wisdom to mongers.

One of my in-laws is frankly, crazy. Narcissistic personality disorder. His own parent refuse to talk to him.
He has been married 4 or 5 times to uglier and uglier women... The last one was almost as nuts as he is. After all, how hard is it nowadays to Google someone and learn about his reputation? Anyone normal wants nothing to do with him!
He drifts around from city to city, street preaching... and telling everyone he meets that they are going to hell.
We keep wondering how much lower can he go? Yet, people living on the edge, scraping the bottom, can last a long time... and continue exploring a bottom that you or I would never want to be within sight of!

Maybe there can be another future enhancement... When you log in, if more than 10 people have ignored you - there is a notification "## formers have you on ignore. You are ranked as the #nth most ignored TUSCL member! "
Maybe, just maybe, it will cause some self reflection... and tame a few of the trolls.

This question smells kind of trollish. It is one of my annoyances generally about clubs, that guys have to spend so much time being sedentary. Dotting around waiting for drinks, waiting for dancers, and when you get one you are still expected to sit passively and let her do everything.
Sometimes I will visit a bikini club for a change of pace. Once in a while it is fun to trade the nudity for the ability to do some grabby nightclub style stand-up dancing.

Dancers are "on alert" with a new customer on the first song. It is a good idea I think to view the first song as sort of like the door fee to the club... It is mainly the price to get started. So I mostly follow the expected rules, leave my hands near my legs and make some light conversation.
If there is a good vibe developing, the second song is time to try some minor exploring, rubbing her legs and back.
I like to try and remember the feet. If she has crawled onto me with both feet off the floor, tuck her feet under my elbows. Sometimes the A/C is strong in clubs. Dancers get cold feet, and they often like this. Feet are sensitive too, both the top of the foot and the sole. You can stroke or tickle her feet with your hands while maintaining body contact along your arm and her legs.
The neck is another sensitive area guys forget about. I will try to rub my face in there if she is close enough. Sometimes girls pull back and say it is too intimate - others smile and let the mood develop.
By the end of the second song she has probably begun rubbing her breasts on my face (and perhaps begun suggesting we go to VIP).
I suppose the answer is that I like to just explore at a gradual pace, and see what happens. Asking seems too point blank to me.... The discovery of how well you interact with each other is part of the adventure.
By the third or fourth song you should be very close and can try some dirty talk. Ladies encounter guys all the time who want to feel them up. It don't need to be porn dialogue - just open up mentally, tell her what about her appeals to you, that you are enjoying this. If things are going very well, this may be where she begins whispering hints of how freaky she can get with you in VIP, and you finally agree - as she is probably warmed up and ready!

Liwet, your explanation fits for me as well. I have always lived below my means. Most of my 20s ans 30s, I saved one paycheck and lived on the next one.
Now my investments and salary together leave me with around $3000 a month of discretionary income. I am still too sensible to throw all of it away on dancers. But it is quite liberating to realize that blowing a few hundred bucks in a club every few weeks, means very little to me financially. I don't miss it, and I have amassed many fun memories!

Most frustrations in life come through other people. When I encounter a problem like the air conditioning failing in my car, or my stock market investments going down - I can shug it off. These things are beyond my control. It is normal to encounter inconveniences in one's environment.
But dealing with people, their inconsistency, their impatience, their emotions and inability to plan or express a thought clearly.... Ugh!
That is why I have never wanted to work in any form of sales. You are constantly encountering random people, and you have to be fake happy about meeting them...

I had only visited a few clubs over my life, although I'd lurked on various websites and forums about adult entertainment for a few decades. (I date back to the days of alt.sex.strip-clubs on UseNet in the mid 1990s.) Yeah, another rationale for my username here! ;-)
But anyway, what got me to ramp up my attendance was an encounter on my commuter bus to work. Normally, there are not any attractive women on this bus, which goes from my town to Charlotte. But one day there was a young blonde girl, early 20ish, very talkative.. if a bit easily distracted...
She had a mess of a life, living with an older guy and sharing ownership of a pickup truck, trying to figure out of this relationship should continue or not. She had a thick country accent it sounded like she grew up in a trashy broken home. It was so very much what you expect to hear from a stripper - except that she wasn't one. She worked for cash as a painter on construction sites. She certainly was not someone I'd meet in normal life at the office. Kind of low class, smoked, was also trying to overcome an addiction to pain medication. But damn she was cute.
I invited her to sit with me on the bus, and we'd snuggle together a bit. Me, a late 40ish guy and this young chick. I'd get off the bus at my stop and think what a creepy old man I'm becoming, and kind of liked the dirty pleasure of it. I'd rest my head on her shoulder and wanted so bad to rub my face in her titties!!
Nothing much resulted from this girl, I had her number and we texted for a while but she eventually flaked.
But the situation made me so damn horny, LOL. I had to get out and touch some girls. So, off to the clubs I went.... :-)

Ordinarily, I would expect a city counci to bring a club to heel. But Chamblee is a a small city of 10,000 and perhaps they will tire of harassing Follies. Especially since another article pointed out that Follies pays the town $100,000 a year for licensing.

It is a common practice at clubs that a dancer in VIP does not need to go on stage when called - after all, the club is getting a cut.
PLs can sometimes use this to their own advantage though. If you are chatting with a dancer who is called, quickly offer a "deal" in VIP for a few songs. She is likely to net better from a discounted VIP than collecting a few singles (or nothing).
I have also had dancers come up to me right before a stage set and make a special offer, just to be skipped.

There are only 2 clubs in Hickory, which is a modest size city. They are just a few miles apart and neither has a reputation for drawing a large crowd.
The old Crazy Horse (which was the weaker of the two for years) recently changed hands to be rebranded as a Treasure Club. It will take a while to ramp up, assuming the new management is successful.
Charlotte and Greenville (perhaps consider Greensboro or Raleigh) offer more opportunities from a dancer's perspective.

I have wondered if I may be getting a bit bored with clubs, actually. I have seen enough women on the poles that I don't feel like approaching the stage. Another dancer is unlikely to do anything up there that is new to me.
Lap dances need to be good to get my attention - - average dances are forgettable pretty quickly. It is no longer like being a teenager riding the bus to school, and getting all excited about a girl choosing to sit next to me, and *ZOMG* - her thigh is touching mine!!

X rated theaters has closed by the time I had a driver's license. But in the mid 1980s I can remember being a teenager, my parents dropping me off the video arcade in the same run down shopping center, and wondering what was in there.

I bought some Libido-Max at Wal-Mart. It is a supplement so takes a few days to settle in. I feel like it gives me more wood at night and in the morning than during club hours, but it helps a little.

I have done VIP with a dancer, and then taken her out on the floor where she dry humped me until I was not so dry down there... I was on a budget and she did not care, was all warmed up from our VIP fun. Maybe getting naughty in front of people turned her on even more? Dunno everything. Just part of the SC experience!
