For the past 3-4 months I have seen the same dancer at my local club who comes in for a few hours to meet one or two whales. They buy out her shift and pay for her to not go on stage.
So what is the longest anyone has gone seeing a dancer who never goes on stage?
The longest I recall seeing a dancer not go on stage, in a club I regularly visited was about 5 months. It ended on a day when the club was pretty empty.
She had many regulars and was quite busy. When she wasn't in the back giving dances, she was usually at the bar waiting for her next regular, or entertaining groups that would come in.
There have been girls at Follies who did not go on stage ever. Many other clubs have buyouts or it can just be the dancer's choice. If it by choice that can mean the hottest girls do not waste 15 minutes on stage if there is not a lot of stage tipping (like Follies).
I assume some dancers pay a fine to not go on srage, and some have their RILs pay for it which they seem to do gladly to have her all to themselves for hours on end.
I used to know an older dancer (early-40s) at a Dallas area club that never went on stage - I think she told me she paid not to go on stage - I got the impression she was self-conscious about going on stage - she looked good for a civilian her age but didn't exactly have a hard-body
At a Miami dive I knew a mid-30s dancer that didn't go on stage - she also looked pretty-good but she was kinda reserved and I assume not comfortable with all eyes on her - she told me she had danced at the club many years and the owner allowed her to not go on stage.
Weekend shifts at ggr in nj are from 4 pm to 3 am. I never stayed that long but a few of the ladies are booked solid for private dances and never went on stage until management recently decided all dancers must get up at least twice a night.
I mean it’s got be huge hit for a club when one of there hotties (she must be if she can afford to not work the stage) can’t go up there. It’s a showcase for the club, “look what we got”
@papi - I know at my club it's $20 to skip stage. I have never done it as I enjoy seeing a fav on stage. But I have definitely considered it. I generally tip a fav $5-10 on stage anyway so it isn't dramatically more to pay for the stage skip. If I am in a situation with limited time to be in the club it might be worth it.
One dancer at my go to place has not been on stage in eleven years. She's the only dancer close to a straight up 9 with no make up on at the club. She makes the club more money in their cut on dances than any other dancer so they don't even make her pay out to not go on stage.
Liwet--I've also heard in Vegas the girls do promos's which basically is to go hang out in a casino and hand out business cards to try and get people to come to the clubs--if they do participate in the promo events they can get removed from the stage dance rotation and or have a reduced day/shift fee.
I doubt a promotion of any sort would be something club dancers would do anywhere outside of Vegas.
@Warrenboy a few years back a few of the West Palm clubs used to send dancers to the industrial parks and leave passes for free entry in my shop and they’d go around to many other shops in the area, occasionally leaving passes under vehicle windshield wipers. Also Rachel’s also in West Palm, used to sponsor a beer barge with dancers at Sunfest, which is a huge event in this area late in the spring.
I saw a DJ lose it once at the Columbia Platinum Plus. The owners policy was that he never wanted to see the main stage empty. There was a monitor in the managers office to verify compliance. It was the DJ's duty to see to it that there was always a dancer on stage.
Well he went through the entire list of about 10 dancers that were working the day shift and not one of them got up on stage. He got on his mike and called the girls every name in the book and then left the booth. The club went silent for about 30 minutes until he cooled down.
At a club I used to frequent, there was a dancer who would only go on stage when there was a review. She never got called on stage to dance. If she made money at this club, it was from lap dances. But I’d be surprised if she could make tipout on a nightly basis. I bought a dance from her once and it was one of the lamest dances I ever had.
It is a common practice at clubs that a dancer in VIP does not need to go on stage when called - after all, the club is getting a cut.
PLs can sometimes use this to their own advantage though. If you are chatting with a dancer who is called, quickly offer a "deal" in VIP for a few songs. She is likely to net better from a discounted VIP than collecting a few singles (or nothing).
I have also had dancers come up to me right before a stage set and make a special offer, just to be skipped.
