Helpful feature. I use it to:
-Read the user's prior articles or reviews (including to see if user has posted prior reviews before I accuse an apparent club ad).
-Save time in navigating to a discussion thread I know the user posted on if the discussion is buried beyond the first page so I don't have to scroll to it.
-Message the user.
-Look at a female user's selfies.
Some users' threads or articles would be difficult to find without this feature (such as me going back to review farmerart's posts - farmerart preceded my time here and I looked back after ArtsBrother posted his article about farmerart).
Also this feature is helpful find reviews and reviews and review comments of users who post infrequently but give good intel in certain geographic areas - user Scfanatic323 is a good example of this for his LA / COI intel.

The likely bullshit part is getting "heavily discounted" VIP rooms in San Francisco if loco asserts it occurred in any of SF's DejaVu corporate clubs. The amount of money you'd have to spend in advance to achieve that perk would be insane.

Nope on a dancer buying me a drink, and if she did I wouldn't turn it down though I'd substantially prefer increased mileage instead of a drink. Call.Me.Ishmael's spidey sense comment about his free dancer drink was funny.
Plenty of times have had manager or female bartender comp drinks - one of many reasons I think customer-management relations are underrated and shouldn't be ignored, though many here disagree.

Agree. Good humor makes it funner for dancer and custy even if it doesn't increase the mileage. I don't get the magic trick thing though, but perhaps that's because I'm incompetent at magic tricks - still I couldn't see myself getting proficient at magic tricks and bringing a deck of cards into the club, though I suppose it'd be funny (or gross) to put a condom in the deck of cards like it's a pack of cigarettes and pull it out along with the cards. But if it works for you, great.

Yes, that is the strip club as entertainment model.
The strip club for intimacy model, or the strip club for sex with some level of intimacy model, is what causes the heartburn of disappointment when YMMV from prior visits or a regular relationship changes.
In the strip club for sexual satisfaction with no attachments model, the PL simply moves on if the mileage isn't satisfactory.

As to OP's statement that Dems are "seriously screwed" in 2020, I think a Trump victory in 2020 isn't guaranteed by the Mueller Report or the Attorney General's response to it.
A moderate Dem emerging from primaries can beat Trump in 2020. The primaries make it difficult for a moderate to emerge on either side - candidates run to the polar sides (Republicans to the right, Dems to the left) to satisfy the activists in each party and then candidates rush closer to center in the general election, though my observations are Dems run to center more than Republicans tend to (and Repubs haven't since pre-2000) and Trump certainly didn’t rush to center in 2016.
I think Subra's right that much of Trump vote in 2016 wasn't pro Trump but rather "visceral hatred" anti Hillary. I've heard a lot of Dems say if Dem party had nominated Bernie in 2016 he would've beat Trump – ya right, not a chance.
Evasparkling may be right that a Biden/Harris ticket could pull it off. In addition to Biden's downsides listed above (including speech and law school plagiarism), he's a fraud for having lied about how many college majors he got (said 3, then said 2, was actually 1), about having gone to law school on full academic scholarship and only one in his class to get that, and about graduating in top half of law school class (was actually bottom 11%). What a douche.

Agree with JS69 and McNulty observations on the new system.
When new system commenced, I was pretty liberal with review approval if reviewer put decent effort into it even if it didn't check all of founder's boxes for what a review should include. With the system now showing the 3 approvers, I'm still reading the unpublished reviews but approving far fewer of them since my use ID is posted as approver.
