Being just a smidge more seasoned than I was back in March, with a good 8-10 trips more since then, the drink thing pisses me off.
If a girl starts out by asking for a drink, I pretty much ask her to leave. I'm only buying drinks if I enjoy her company and hope to spend more time. But this lesson I also learned from getting burned once.

In my second ever trip to the club I had spent about $700 on a girl. To this day she is still probably the most beautiful stripper I've ever met, and probably best conversation. We had a great night, but at the end of the night asked if I'd give her $120 more so she could "hit her goal". I was slightly hesitant, made her beg a little, but relented and gave it to her. I was in total stripper love.
The funny thing is, it wasn't until later that I thought I should have just told her to at least throw down some dances for that money; I think she would have actually worked for it had I just asked. After all, we had been doing dances and hanging out all night.
I must not have felt too taken advantage of at the time, because she was there a month later when I went back and I spent the whole night with her again, this time only money for services as she didn't try that again.
I never saw her again. I truly believe she would be my CF, possibly ATF, if she were still around, but others told me she left the club and is at another one in the same city (Vegas). But no one knew, or would say, which club.
Sidenote, sorry to hijack the thread a little. She gave me her real name, which I later confirmed was real by Facebook stalking :) - Would it be appropriate at this point to send a Facebook message and ask if she is still working and where, or is that super creepy? These two trips were in February and March.

I've heard the idea that Dominic refers to, about the money not being what it was pre-2008 crash, but at some point we have to have dancers that don't remember that. Heck, dancers in my favorite age range today were between 13 and 16 years old during boom years before the bust.

Hey Papi, I can definitely see where you're coming from. When I started, my favorite part of any night was the variety; getting a $20 lap dance from as many as 6-10 different dancers in a night. Then maybe a little more from 1 or 2 favorites from the night, which would always be different favorites than the last trip.
Then as time went on I built a relationship with a couple, and have gotten to the point where I spend a little time with girl #1, and then the brunt of the night with girl #2, and that's it. I think I'm starting to miss the variety, plus, putting all my eggs in the basket of just one main girl is starting to make me feel... vulnerable.

It's so true about it not being all about looks. I was just talking to someone about how my CF wouldn't turn many heads in the few clubs I've visited. I know for a fact that she doesn't have other regulars because I used to see her on many occasions before finally talking to her. And she's told me. She's ecstatic if she can make a couple hundred dollars on a shift... in a club where many do much more than that.
But what does it for me is how genuine she seems. I swear, it's like she's in the wrong line of work. She'll try and turn down tips from me if she thinks it's too much, or give discounts, or not charge for lap dances if she knows we'll do VIP later in the evening. Really sweet too; has almost no hustle, which I'm sure hurts her money-making potential. But not on nights when I visit. My once a month visit is always good for what she makes in a week. She just gets to me that way.
The worst part about it all? I've started to compare girls I meet in the real world to her, and so I lose interest in dating. Not good, I probably need a hiatus already.

Dominic, I see where you're coming from, and my questions were a little bit hypothetical, sort of wondering "who out there is the type of addict they are referring to", but with a hint of introspection as well.
In fact, over the past few weeks I've been going over my own activities and trying to see what I actually want to get out of this whole thing. I think I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm not an addict, but either frequent more than I would really like to, or spend more than I'd like per visit.
My scenario is that I'm single, no dependents. There was a recent month where I visited every weekend, but I'm settling in now that the novelty and adrenaline are wearing off, on once per month.
I guess I was just intrigued by the discussion because I want to convince myself I'm not addicted :). Mostly for myself, but although society teaches that you shouldn't care what others think, we all do. I do. I can't stand the thought that I might be thought of as that chump that comes in and spends too much money because he's looking for intimacy in the wrong place, or that he can't find it outside the club. It might be likely too, since I'm not interested in taking someone OTC for sex. I feel like the married guys have it easier in that regard; for some reason it just seems so much more pathetic to me to frequent strip clubs as a single guy in your 30's. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it. I just hate feeling pathetic, and sometimes do in the club.

What I would want to ask is, what makes one addicted? They talk as if these addicts are the scumb of the earth, yet I know they depend on them for income.
So anyway, how do I know if I'm a so-called addict in their eyes, I would ask? If I visit multiple times weekly? What if its weekly? Maybe I go to Church weekly, am I an addict? What if I visit the club monthly? Maybe I go to the movies monthly, am I an addict? Are you only an addict if it is deemed a vice?

I've been with a friend two different times, but prefer going alone. The only real reason I have is that I'm a marathoner. Both times he was ready to leave after two hours. I like to stay 4+.

Does the newbie sense of awe and excitement continue to diminish forever? Besides one trip last year, February was my beginning. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I sat at the stage and tipped for like 4 hours. Every new dancer at the pole was like a brand new experience. It was a rush unlike anything I had ever experienced. Those feelings diminish every time I go back. Man, what I wouldn't give for that first trip again.

Yeah, I admit I was taken aback when I started here. Apparently I committed the unforgivable sin of asking for a recommendation before I had done a review, even though I had only visited one club up to that point. You would think others could choose to opine, or not, which would be fine. Some did, but others lashed out at me. Indeed at the time it felt like a good ol' boys club with some entitled veterans. Most encounters here have been good, however.

This is an interesting thread. I was wondering if it was just me since many of you have been doing it for years.
I consider February to basically be my start, each month after I went more than the last, until June, and now July will probably be less than June.
Like someone said, I feel like I'm searching for something, but don't know what it is. I can't match the rush and adrenaline of earlier trips. Law of Diminishing Returns, perhaps?

Minnow, the reviews can be helpful, but not the be all, end all. Some reviews are very old. That's why I asked for recommendations.
Speaking of "how hard is it...", since you used the term, how hard is it to either offer a suggestion, or not offer one, instead of complaining about maps and reviews and whatever else?

A second Papi's remarks, thanks guys. I'm a couple days out now and will report back on my time at HiLiter and Christie's Tempe... unless I switch Christie's last minute for Bourbon Street Circus... I'm still deciding. I think I heard Bourbon Street is chalk full of large implant porn looking types... and that's not my flavor at all. More interested in young college girl types.

There's nothing fishy man, the flight isn't even booked yet... I mentioned that a normal layover is 2-3 hours, I was going to see if I could find a longer layover, I couldn't. So now I'm just going to book it as two separate flights so I can have enough time. You're reading way too much into it; I'm not sure what could be fishy, or even what your possible paranoia could be about. LE? I doubt they care as much about your SC activities as you think they do.
