    Strip club permissiveness
Here might be an interesting old thread for those in the more recent thread about the state of the industry.

Why have strip clubs slowed down so much since the 90s?
I’m bumping this thread to reply to somebody in another thread who asked if tusclers were complaining about a decline in clubs back then. This is one of the earlier threads I saw, and most of the threads since have been from 2017-present day. I couldn’t find anything pre-2010 about anything. I’m sure if there was, Davids/RomanticLover would have swooped in to remind the site about it 👍

Or more grimly, some people here might be old enough that their mom has already passed away. I had a wonderful Mother’s Day with my mom. We ate crawfish, and that’s one of her favorite foods. 🦞 😋

    State of the Strip Club
Lots of clubs seem to be run by old people who want to sell their facilities, but can’t seem to find a willing buyer who will pay the price they want to sell it at. The Ricks corporation is sniffing out who they want though. But every time I’ve seen the CEO interviewed, that guy is not somebody who can keep the industry strong. “Let’s appeal to Gen Z customers with loud night club music and crypto” “strippers should cut VIP prices if there is a recession” (not every club in your own freaking chain even allows strippers to set their own prices. And even if they did, why should strippers price it low when the base room+bottle cost are usually expensive 🙄) Deja Vus seem to be doing their own acquisitions as well, but not as much as Ricks. They do own the Bucks chain though. I get the impression Vus are run more competently, and they have better marketing, but they do have a well-deserved reputation for their brutal cuts. As long as strippers can keep having enough profitable shifts to afford that, I guess power to them. But when that becomes more and more risky… Also, since it’s been mentioned…millennials and Gen Z have found their way into clubs before and my opinion only, judging from the last 2-4 years maybe, a lot of them are a better behaved cohort than older customers. Probably because unlike old people who have to worry about their retirement accounts, and more prone to a “you have to EARN this money” overcompensating power trip, younger groups statistically don’t have as much to lose. But most of this group won’t turn into regulars, and probably only showed up prepared to spend just for the novelty sake, and honestly I can’t blame them.

When should a stripper retire from stripping?
Whenever she never gets around to walking back through a club’s doors, because she’s too distracted with whatever else is going on. “Retire” is this word that implies finality and seems mostly used in the context of collecting social security payments. And let’s face it, even when a good chunk of us turn 65 years old, that type of thing is unlikely to be there anyways. 👍

I’ve met plenty of really young dancers in Denver, Phoenix, Austin, etc Get out of the absolute most cheapie mileage clubs and they aren’t difficult to find. And yes, plenty are white and slim (especially in Denver at the upscale clubs) But I don’t exactly see tusclers blowing up the reviews for those clubs. Most of the happy reviews in Denver, for example, are from getting a handjob from Cubans in a particular dive club away from the city center. And college students living life while still in school is not when most are going to be feeling the ramifications of debt yet. That comes later after graduation when the bill comes due, traditionally 6 months after graduation, but for now who the heck knows. My account for now is still in this limbo state and I haven’t had to make any payments in 3 years. And why should I when there’s the faint possibility of some kind of partial forgiveness, and worst case scenario, just let the balance just sit at 0% interest for a little longer while inflation possibly lessens the impact of the numbers. I’m not exactly fond of the anti-trafficking hysteria rhetoric that has circulated around the past few years. Not because it doesn’t exist, but because a lot of it is exaggerated and the proper term for a lot of criminal justice situations should just be good ol’ “prostitution” BUT my feelings on that doesn’t matter, and the common sentiment is what it is. if some club is really trying to aggressively recruit those who statistically are more likely to have more sheltered/privileged lives by using vague tactics and not disclosing how they would be making that money from the get go, and some of those girls inevitably start telling their more powerful mommy and daddy about that…that sounds like a shit show potential future headline about “trafficking innocent young girls” and causing trouble for not just that club, but others nearby as well. It doesn’t matter if the tactics are weak sauce compared to what the likes of Epstein and Glisane did back in the day, it’s still going to look really really bad if the OP story is true. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If dancers are voluntarily jumping into the clubs because of some TikTok video they watched, that’s different and that has already happened in plenty of places.

I’ve seen MLM companies at career/internship fairs before, but if a titty bar is going to those lengths to recruit and it’s not located out in some rural area, then that club def has to be a shithole. The industry has had dancer saturation for quite a while.

    Parking lot reviews
The two parking lots that I recall is that Hiliter had a lot of cars that didn’t even *try* to park in the lines, nor even pull all the way forward into the space and would just stick out. Hustlers in ESL had a massive pothole somewhere.

Aww, I do miss Portland. And their completely amazing Berries. And Pip’s. And even my wife 🔪 And Paterson is only 4.5 hours from Smithsonian museum land. And surprisingly, the dancer reviews didn’t flag anything really bad about that club. I’m kinda wondering if that place would be like a Texas club. 🤔

    Sex Worker
Reading some of the discomfort reminds me of an article I read a long time ago. It’s outdated now, but it was eloquently written. http://titsandsass.com/man-calls-cops-on-stripper-that-wont-screw-him-stripping-isnt-sex-work-lite/ My favorite part: “I know that strippers have something of a Regina George reputation among sex workers as many deny they are sex workers at all, considering themselves above the designation. Some strippers have been unkind trolls to Belle Knox and other porn performers on Twitter. Strippers are also arguably among the most likely type of sex worker to be denied the label by our clientele, mostly because strip club customers don’t want to have to identify as clients and they can deny that status more easily if we aren’t identifying as sex workers. But the expectation of explicitly sexual services is absolutely built into the idea of the VIP room, and it means that negotiating and/or denying various forms of sexual labor is part of the job.”

Where does nicespice need to dance next?
I’d definitely love to spend more time in the eastern part of the country in general. Aside from Florida, I haven’t danced anywhere, nor even seen very many places. I’d especially to like to have the excuse to binge visit a bunch of Smithsonian museums…and maybe from there go in any direction. According to the GPS, it looks like Washington DC is only 7.5-8.5 hours away from Providence by car. Or 8-9 hours to Detroit. Places are so close to each other, lol Phoenix is a fun area for sure. Though if I dance in Arizona again, I think I want to try out Star Valley or Fort Mohave.

    Most Pointless Professions
I’m going to use this thread to give a giant shout out to Bullshit Jobs and shamelessly quote from them. The 5 types of bullshit jobs: Flunkies: Flunky jobs, like receptionists, administrative assistants, and door attendants, are created because those in powerful positions in an organization see underlings as badges of prestige. Goons: Goons are hired due to a dynamic of one-upmanship (if our rivals employ a top corporate lawyer, then so, too, must we). Goons, like lobbyists, telemarketers, and PR specialists exist to fight fellow goons hired by other companies. Duct tapers: Duct tapers are responsible for temporarily fixing problems that could be fixed permanently instead, like programmers who repair shoddy code and airline desk staff who calm passengers whose bags don’t arrive. These positions are created because organizations sometimes find it more difficult to fix a problem than to deal with its consequences. Box tickers: Box tickers create the guise that something useful is being done, when in reality it isn’t. These positions, like survey administrators and corporate compliance officers, exist because many large organizations see paperwork attesting to the fact that certain actions have been taken as more important than the actions themselves. Taskmasters: Taskmasters exist to manage or create more work for workers who don’t need it, like middle management and leadership professionals. They’re basically side effects of various forms of impersonal authority.

    The Art of Pole
I took a couple of pole classes waaaay back when I was just starting out as a dancer. The second class had us practicing the worm https://youtu.be/rOMzrbyJo1U I tried to implement it at work briefly, and the patron nearby had the biggest wtf face. And it felt super awkward to do. Somebody more graceful than me could probably have made it a heck of a lot more sexy, but not me. I noped out taking any more lessons. If I ever try again, I’m going to be a heck of a lot more picky who I sign up with. Especially because a lot of the pole fitness community have taken it upon themselves to declare that they are ~not a stripper~ …though some of the animosity might have lessened in the past few years?

I haven’t really paid much attention to her, but yeah she looks like a goddess. 😍I wonder if it’s her hair too. I think the natural hair frames her face better than how it was in the WAP music video, or at least that’s just my opinion.

    I-80 Speed Trap
Since we are talking about interstates, I would like to give a moment of silence for the stretch of i10 around Kerville/Junction, which is northwest of San Antonio. It used to be easy to drive 90mph on there and still be a slowpoke, but for whatever reason state troopers have actually been pulling people over, and see them doing that every time I’ve been that way over the last 2-3 years. 🎻

The voice of truth and reason
OMG, OMG, OMG, can you believe these guys!
Eeh, if you’re going to cherry pick some link where naming dancers happen, why not link to one of the discussions/reviews that gets into even more explicit detail about them? They do exist after all. And not even just details about their club mileage (which is problematic enough), but actual gossip about what car they drive. That’s not hyperbole, there was literally that type of gossip going on in some thread about an Arizona club. Or what days they work (that customers take upon themselves to broadcast instead of leaving it up to a dancer to announce that herself if she so chooses). Because that has happened. And that behavior makes it tougher to stick up for this site when dancers go trashing this site calling people on here creepy losers. (Not my words, and I’ve met plenty of individuals from this site on here, and it’s gone well. I’m just talking about the image problem this site has. Some of which is unfair, but in some cases can be pretty justified)
