    Life with one strip club
I know some of the club regulars in South Dakota who had maybe four or five clubs in their rotation—and they are perfectly content to club hop on the same night and be willing to go to 2-4 places. To go from one club to another might be like 70 miles, but long drives are a way of life and they don’t care.

Eh? Did you do a road trip to Texas or something?

If you had to start over again, where would you live?
If there is really no attachments, whether it’s a job, other people, or any personal hobbies/interests, then I’d be a complete nomad. If I was male (and didn’t have titty bars as an option) then maybe as an owner-operator truck driver.

I haven’t put together a will or anything. I’ll probably opt for donating my body to science. But there are a couple of songs that I’m hoping will get played in my honor: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kPIdRJlzERo&pp=ygUbZGluZyBkb25nIHRoZSB3aXRjaCBpcyBkZWF https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H48kOqqaWv0&pp=ygUYZGVhZCBteSBjaGVtaWNhbCByb21hbmNl

OT: A “novel” idea to fighting crime
I mean, lot of gangs are really a self-managed police and HOA body wrapped up in one. Or at least that’s how they start out as. Some are more effective at keeping a neighborhood in line from rampant thuggery activities than others. And by thuggery activities, I mean actions by too many individual hotheads instead of deferring to whatever is the agreed upon authority in an area. A gang that is “established” in an area can often make an area safer than it would otherwise be…as long as they have the luxury to not deal with too many turf wars. This is a long-winded way for me to say that I would consider that group a gang as well, and one that seems to be more effective than its competitors. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s not a judgement on the group itself. Just what it is.

    Left versus Right
Is it bad that I’m kinda hoping for a real duel, like what happened with Hamilton and Burr? Maybe it can start with something like Desantis vs Frost 😁 (Frost being the guy who made headlines for screaming anti-DeSantis profanities at a concert recently)

    Prude rules for strip clubs...
Why are you scolded and disciplined? Is it that some other dancer has more rapport with the club’s manager and does’t like you? Is it club customers complaining? Is this happening only at one club or several?

Oh, well my bad for mocking your lack of reading reviews before downvoting…since you do read just enough on here to recall the grand total of zero times I ever talked about “thinking of going pre-law” Enjoy your swim! Supposedly some scientific study indicates cold water might be beneficial for protecting against dementia. 😋

I never heard any talk/rumors about that club shutting down and according to google, it’s still around. Maybe once you’re in town, you can call the club to make sure they are open? And feel free to leave a review of there, I’ve considered trying out that club before 😁

Minnow also recently accused somebody of using AI to write a club review. https://tuscl.net/review/397408 Personal opinion only of course, but I don’t think somebody who has seriously speculated whether Black Lives Matter hacked his Sirius radio station to play soul music is the most “with it” as somebody in a position to call out technology shenanigans.

Eh, I’lll go ahead and stir the pot. Minnow downvoted and bitched about me writing a dancer review of a club a while back and told me to submit to stripperweb. He didn’t comment about any faults with the review content itself though—and I’m sure there is plenty, because I just write reviews on my phone without editing before I submit them. So I suspect he probably downvotes stuff without reading sometimes. https://app.tuscl.net/review/368899 Hmm, maybe I’ll write another club review sometime soon 😊

Cities use local laws to curb strip clubs
Even without the NIMBY factor, it’s not like arcades have made a significant comeback either. It seems like most of the “new” ones out there are just bars with a few machines for novelty. Or Dave and Busters. Yeah, the future of legalizing sex work is going to be an interesting one. It’s nuts to me when even the likes of Teen Vogue advocates for sex worker rights. On one hand, as a sex worker that is going to bias me a lot in favor of legitimizing any of my life choices. On the other, it’s kinda disturbing to be recruiting (and possibly encouraging?) legal minors to join the argument and possible grooming?? I kinda suspect that if the legalizing happens, then there will be huge battles with regard to all that, pushed forward especially from older sex workers who might have felt they were exploited too much as newbies in the industry.

I googled to figure out when it was posted. Looks like this news article that shadowcat is copy pasting from was originally posted in March 2008. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Business/story?id=4458564&page=1 Yeah no, ridiculous rules where minor contact ends up becoming just as big of a prostitution charge as full on boinking, has done a lot to encourage full service sex work for the past 14 years. Well that, plus also some macroeconomic fuckery that I won’t get into 👍 The number of clubs are down, however, from 3000 or whatever it is. So I can’t say the move to get clubs show down has been ineffective. It’s just that the ones that survived are in more violation of the law than ever. I forget what sinclair’s article counted as the number?

    H.E. Butt Grocery
I think I drove by a Piggly Wiggly once but I’ve never shopped at one. But eeeh, aside from the cute name, it probably wasn’t anything special. I don’t know anything about Wegman’s, so I can’t comment about anything. Also, I don’t know any other store that has as awesome of a selection for their own in-house generic brand items. Not just for the many grocery options. But they also have their own Texas-shaped cookware and stuff as well. Here’s just a few things they might carry: https://www.kwsanantonio.com/news/amp/26-h-e-b-products-texans-cant-live-without/ And it’s also ranked high as one of the healthiest grocery store chains in America. Which is pretty darn amazing when it’s headquartered in a city that ranks #25 in obesity, and the staple food items that locals claim as their own is pretty darn calorie dense. https://www.sacurrent.com/sanantonio/iconic-foods-that-define-san-antonio/Slideshow/21554666/21561086 https://www.eatthis.com/healthiest-grocery-stores/

Growing up in central Texas, I used to think HEB was this overrated place that people overhyped just because that’s how Texan pride is. (Seriously, people in grade school pledge allegiance to Texas right after pledging to America) But after seeing King Sooper/Fry’s/Kroger, Hy-vee, Safeway, Publix, Schnucks, Cub’s, Winn-Dixie, Hmart, Trader Joe’s, United Supermarkets/Albertsons, etc… NOPE, HEB is the best grocery store chain out there. I love going there every chance I get 🥰🥰🥰

Are there just an infinite amount of Cuban strippers?
Eeh, years ago I think just before I started dancing, lots of Cubans dominated the Austin clubs. I’ve been told (can’t confirm) that aggressive raids from TABC made the clubs more wary of having too many Cubans, so they kept that under control more than other Texas cities. My earliest memory of Austin was that there was plenty of Cubans, but also plenty of Americans. Ditto for San Antonio. Now, most Cubans in the Austin area keep to the shady clubs that practically only hire Cubans. The rest have a few, but the don’t dominate the lineup. And then apparently DFW doesn’t have as many of them. Though idk how it is now compared to a few months ago. https://tuscl.net/discussion/81538 The point I’m trying to make is that just because Cubans show up somewhere, doesn’t guarantee that they will forever be the lineup. Who knows, maybe Abbot’s crap is making the Texas club owners more nervous of hiring too many Cubans and that’s why they are migrating more, with or without a provided bus trip.

Best Cities To Live In 2023-24
Fun list. I’m kinda partial to smaller areas where there is just enough crime or maybe just an industrial area, to keep things from getting too uppity, but also has a university that does just enough for the community to make the area punch above its weight with amenities. Examples are places like Lubbock TX, Tucson AZ, Springfield MO, Eugene OR, etc. Green Bay does have delicious kringles, and that the main thing I remember about that area. Yummmmmm

If you had 6 months to live who would you contact?
So I don’t know all the facts about what is going on with this thread… but I do understand the feeling of being isolated away from people who are around in an authentic way. That is what I’m reading from the OP. I’ll just link to some resources on the off chance they are useful. I suspect they might be more useful than the toxic cesspool of sites like Facebook or this one. (And yes, I am aware that I contribute to the toxicity plenty. I’m just talking in general) One network is 7cups, there is free chatting on demand. And for more professional, formal services, there is a subscription plan of $150 a month. https://www.7cups.com/?correlationId=7136ff64-4124-4ee7-8858-dd073d3ceede Here is a group that is very US based, and connecting with others trying to get by in a dysfunctional society. https://adaa.org/find-help/support If you happen to be a military veteran, there is a group just for veterans as well. https://www.veteranscrisisline.net/get-help-now/chat/ And there are also various religious groups. I know quite a few people find them helpful, but I’m pretty secular so I won’t link to anything.
