At one point in the 90s I thought that either Bonds or ARod had a chance when they both had 40/40 seasons just a couple of years apart but then they both moved more towards power and less speed. I think Acunà and De La Cruz both have the skill to make a run at 50/50 over the next couple of years, but I imagine both will come up short in one category or the other. Ohtani is really something special to watch on the field, but I'm not buying the story about the interpreter and gambling. I don't know for sure that he gambled, but MLB should've run a full investigation like they did with Dowd's investigation of Pete Rose's gambling to find out for sure instead of that abbreviated one they ran.

I've never run into a club that had a minimum amount to get singles, but I avoid the "make it rain" type clubs that I imagine would be most likely to have a minimum. The only time I had a club turn me down when I asked for singles was when the bartender said she didn't have enough singles to do it. She offered to find a dancer to trade me for singles and asked me what type of girls I prefer. You are not in the wrong for not tipping in this situation. I agree that Fort Wayne strip clubs are a waste of time given the better options nearby. Like RockAllNight said, head north to Detroit for great extras clubs or south to Indy for decent to high contact clubs. However, your behavior sounds like it was just as bad as Fort Wayne clubs. The fact that they had to repeatedly tell you to stop groping the strippers is problematic. I enjoy fondling and fucking strippers in the clubs that allow it, but in clubs that don't just keep your hands to yourself. Not every club, or every dancer, allows any level of touching by the customers. When you are in those types of clubs you either need to follow the rules or get the fuck out of that club.

I have never noticed what was on the TV in any strip club except once when I was just starting to go to clubs in the late 90s and the club had porn running on the TV. I always just assumed the tvs were on for the club staff to watch when it was slow because as a customer if there is nothing in the club that is more entertaining than the TV I am just going to leave.

I just call them strippers. I usually don't even have a favorite most of the time and I just enjoy the variety. Every few years I'll find someone who I connect with and enjoy enough to be my CF for a while, but I have never found multiple favorites at the same time.

Memphis is not a great strip club town (anymore) but it is better than Nashville. I would put it as pretty average with minimal contact but at least it isn't just air dances like some places. Depending on how aggressive local LEOs are in enforcing it, the differences you just described can be the pure definition of prostitution. The scenario of her sitting on your lap and fondling each other with no money being exchanged is just two adults having consensual fun. If she (or the club) let's someone pay $20 to fondle or grind that would be prostitution since it is paying for contact of a sexual nature. I'm not arguing that it should be this way, but the way prostitution laws are written is the reason it is this way. 2 drink minimums at some strip clubs have been around longer than I have. It isn't just those with a lunch, many strip clubs require a 2 drink minimum to ensure that the people who come in spend at least a certain amount of money instead of just watching a free stage show. I usually don't drink when I'm clubbing, but I've never had a club enforce the 2 drink minimum as long as I am spending money in the club. The only time I've had a club bring it up was when I had arranged to meet a particular dancer at the club at a certain time. Of course she was late so I was sitting around waiting and I hadn't bought any dances or anything while I was waiting. I had a waitress come over and remind me of the two drink minimum, I told her I didn't feel like a drink and gave her $20 and told her she could either use that to pay for my two drinks or keep it as a tip for herself. It isn't a hard thing to understand, sex sells. It always has and it always will. Sure, these types of restaurants don't offer physical contact or any nudity, but to many they offer decent eye candy. They are basically like NFL or NBA cheerleaders and just add a little extra entertainment value by giving you something to look at. I used to go to Hooters back in the 90s because it was literally the only place to get wings within 45 minutes of where I lived. I haven't been back since a couple of other wing places opened about 30-40 minutes away in the early 2000s. There isn't a Twin Peaks within an hour of where I live, but I had been to one once. While I was out of town I noticed one right down the road from my hotel. The food was surprisingly decent for a casual chain restaurant. I wouldn't go out of my way to find one, but if I happened to notice one near my hotel again I'd probably stop by for a meal.
