Hooters, Twin Peaks and other Breastaurants especially in high mileage areas

The Twin Peaks around here seems to be pretty busy the few times I've been, but those have been mostly for local game days. They do turn on the sound for those, and I find the food and service on par with comparably priced places. I have no idea how well they're doing overall, but they seem to be staffed and ready for those days so I assume it's fairly steady.

I don't particularly like the place, but I have friends who like it. They tell their wives they are going, blaming "the guys" for the choice of location. The wives act slightly offended but are actually relieved that its not a strip club and reassured that their husband tells them about it instead of hiding it. Some of the wives like to go, to prove their cool and not jealous, or cause they are jealous and want to supervise, or in one case the wife is the one that comes to hang with the guys and watch the game and brings the husband along.

I'd rather go to Twin Peaks for a game day with buddies than hit up a strip club for that. I been to hooters maybe 3 times in my life, twice were with a stripper who also worked there and wanted the go on her day off. The 3rd time I was probably 17 or something. So I can't speak about their appeal.

In TX there are lingerie sports bars like Tight Ends. Like a Hooters except they're actually dressed like strippers. Between that and real SCs, I don't know how breastaurants can last there.

Breastaurants also vary by location though. Orlando's Twin Peaks wasn't impressive. Meanwhile the Twin Peaks in JAX had exceptionally hot girls with great cleavage/buttcheeks hanging out of cutoff jeans. I usually go there to pregame before the club. Especially since JAX nude clubs don't serve alcohol.

I don't have and breastaurants or strip clubs in my area. So I just go where the food is good and then drive 30 miles to my favorite strip club.

I tend to go to restaurants strictly for the food, and if there happens to be a bit of extra scenery there, who am I to complain? :) So, I actually really like Twin Peaks, just because I really like their food! However, a breastaurant that serves me less than desirable food will not get me to return...

Likewise, I really never eat at clubs, even if the food looks appealing. So many clubs are lacking in their bathroom facilities, and I don't want to feel miserable getting dances because I've just eaten way too much! lol

@shadowcat are you comfortable heading to a club directly from a restaurant, AFTER eating a full meal? I usually only feel safe eating a small snack if I'm going to go to a club, and then I'll try get a full meal after leaving the club... :)

^ Actually no. I worded that wrong. Going out to eat and going to a strip club are 2 separate outings for me. I normally eat a light breakfast at home and brush my teeth before going to a club.

There are degrees of looking for sex.

Guys can usually tell their wives or girlfriends that they are going to Hooters without getting into much of a fight, especially if it's with a group of known husbands. Also, the girls who work there aren't making that much money off the guys, and aren't looking for a sugar daddy.

It gets tougher to tell their wives or girlfriends if the guys are going to a strip joint. And the girls who work there ARE making significant money off the guys, and ARE looking for a sugar daddy.

Even tougher if the strip joint has private rooms. More money for the girls.

It isn't a hard thing to understand, sex sells. It always has and it always will. Sure, these types of restaurants don't offer physical contact or any nudity, but to many they offer decent eye candy. They are basically like NFL or NBA cheerleaders and just add a little extra entertainment value by giving you something to look at.

I used to go to Hooters back in the 90s because it was literally the only place to get wings within 45 minutes of where I lived. I haven't been back since a couple of other wing places opened about 30-40 minutes away in the early 2000s.

There isn't a Twin Peaks within an hour of where I live, but I had been to one once. While I was out of town I noticed one right down the road from my hotel. The food was surprisingly decent for a casual chain restaurant. I wouldn't go out of my way to find one, but if I happened to notice one near my hotel again I'd probably stop by for a meal.

The hoooters burgers, fries, chicken tenders arent worth it. Theyre very basic.
I have been to hooters before where the server was fairly revealing. More than you would see in public anywhere, even though it wasnt a thong like in a strip club

I want to like breastaurants more than I do. If I go, I'm usually alone and sit at the bar. Most recently at a South Florida Twin Peaks. I view the waitresses like I do strippers. Usually too many 5-6s, and overweight. However, there's the occasional 7+ who makes it fun. The bartender at TP was spot on - low cut top, high-cut shorts, bare midriff, fun and sexy as hell. Her occasional gaze when she checked in on me was enough for me to hang in there for a second round.

Generally, in the US, if female nipples or buttocks are not covered, it's legally classed as adult entertainment. Thus, many levels lower in Gubment Hell. Analogous to how there are often stores that sell beer and wine, but not distilled liquor.

Are pantyhose still mandatory at Hooters? I'm kinda surprised pantyhose are still made.

@Icey, but that's the whole point of the restaurants. If they don;t want to be ogled, they can work at Olive Garden or something. Over there, it's creepy. They get bigger tips from the oglers. (no pun intended).

My ATF took me to Hooters for my birthday about 10 years ago. In that Hooters in Taylor, MI, the girls were pretty hot.

Last year in Bangkok I ate at a Hooters right opposite Nana Plaza. You get a good view of all the sinful activities taking place in that area.

However, if I want to look at boobs while I eat, I usually go to the Flight Club or the Landing Strip.

Breastaraunts do poorly here in San Diego. There are 2 hooters left in SD county and one is in an area that is full of tourist hotels. Tilted Kilt couldn't survive in that same general area.

I'm pretty confident those restaurants survive on regulars, and they are likely guys who want to be flirted with by pretty young waitresses but don't have the courage for strip clubs.

Hooters have been slowly closing locations over the last decade or so. Two-thirds of the Hooters girls at my local location are below a 7 in looks. They will hire anybody nowadays. Soon the DEI crowd will force us to accept male Hooters servers. Only the Hooters in Florida, like Tampa and Clearwater, seem to be chock full of hotties.

Tilted Kilt used to have at least six or seven locations in my metro area. Now, there is only one left hanging on.

Twin Peaks was the new name in breasturants for the last ten or fifteen years. Now, they seem to have hit the wall too. One in my metro area recently closed down.

I can see a breastaurant being fun if the servers are actually all 7+ (not likely nowadays), but the overall trend is they are hurting and closing locations like many other restaurant chains.

Yup, Hire petite hotties only, put the sound on, don't allow kids in, and they'd do much better. Yeah I agree about the gulf coast of FL. All the way down to North Naples too.

This type of bar is a good place to introduce adolescent boys to sex workers. Young men ideally can find sex where the pleasure is mutual. But, seeing a sex worker is better than sexual assault, or telling a woman or girl you love her when you don't. Or thinking you love her when you don't. Males should be aware of the not best but not worst option.

Alejandra at the Hooters next to Twin Peaks in SFL has some nice man made ones, wow.

9 years ago this December I made a road trip from Arizona to Miami stopping at a lot of Hooters, Twin Peaks and Tilted Kilts. It was nice... Now it seems only a fraction are still around here in the southwest.
