At some point someone started putting Fox News on one of the TVs in the main room and, I'm told, upstairs in the private rooms. What the fuck? Why should I have to see such a huge boner killer? It can't possibly help a business to put forth political content -- it can only hurt. (I know. I run a business, and I would never display political ads.) Get rid of it, please!
Without looking I don't know if you've posted in any of the multiple political posts here so I don't know if you would feel the same if it was CNN or msnbc on club tvs.
But it does remind me of the owner of a now long closed local club did the same thing, FOX, CNN, I saw he had one or the other blaring all the time.

You don't. You can leave anytime you want. You could also complain to the management. That is likely to have much more of an impact than complaining here.
Who the hell goes to a stripclub to watch the news, I can understand sports shows, movies, but really who cares about politics, when there’s beautiful ladies to play with.
If the club manager is minimally competent, they would know better than me (and probably anyone in this thread) what to put on the TVs, or whether to have them at all.
"no bueno" ditto. No TVs, really. Stick to watching the girls. I think it was Scarlett's in East St Louis years ago (Hollywood Show Club?) that ran porn videos - I was there for the girls.
I have never noticed what was on the TV in any strip club except once when I was just starting to go to clubs in the late 90s and the club had porn running on the TV. I always just assumed the tvs were on for the club staff to watch when it was slow because as a customer if there is nothing in the club that is more entertaining than the TV I am just going to leave.
Perhaps they know their core customers, and cater to them. Furthermore, if capitalism is bad, then no democrat should have amassed enough wealth to afford strip club outings.
A “news” station makes no sense from a business standpoint, since regardless of which is selected, it’s going to elicit a negative reaction from some segment of the patrons, maybe just enough to make them decide to go somewhere else next time. It’s hard to go wrong with sports. Alternatively, run a business network, so the patrons pretending that they are players can pretend it makes a difference to them what’s happening in the markets. A club I used to spend a lot of afternoons in runs USA network, which shows reruns of dumb TV series that nobody ever watched in the first place. Guessing the bartender was a fan
I'm completely confident that having muted fox news on the TV without subtitles is not a selling point of this club. It isn't a case of them knowing best, but a case of some manager or bartender just putting it on to suit their own tastes. Knowing the region's population, I suspect that its largely a minor annoyance to most patrons, and perhaps a minor benefit to a few. I can't imagine it has anything more than an extremely marginal impact on their business, and I'd wager if there is a tiny impact that it is slightly negative.
I also doubt that it impacts dancers in appreciable way--I suspect that they are able to tune it out quite easily. However, we can be sure that if there is an effect on dancers it is negative. Generally speaking, I want more hot dancers working at a club, and I want them in a good mood.
Back to @loper's original post, I wouldn't want to be in an expensive VIP with a dancer and see anything on TV, let alone TV news. I really wouldn't want the distraction.
I was thinking of Desire. IIRC, they have 1 TV on a business channel, and the others on SportsCenter or actual sporting events. As usual, Desire tends to get things right

If they had fox on id spend on the girls not the club
I'd rather they kept the main area on TVs sports *, but they definitely shouldn't have politics on in the vip rooms.
* Exceptions for times like Jan 6th, in etc
Liberal women = dudes with their dick and balls chopped off, infused with estrogen
